But in the good way, not the short bus way...unless you want it to be the short bus way. ;) To quote our dear friend Flash, I'm a little bit of column A, and a little bit of column B. ;)
Why is it that it takes the kidlet forty minutes to do a ten minute task? [/rhetorical question]
Sigh. All he has to do is brush his teeth and put on pajamas. It's not that complicated...
Celestial Healer wrote: David Fryer wrote: Okay this is a question for Sebastian. If you are under contract with someone and they fire you, can they then turn around and sue you for breach of contract for actions you took after you were fired? Definitely a question for a lawyer, but out of curiosity, any chance you could come up with some (even far-fetched) wrongful termination claim? That might get them to shut up and leave you alone.
Anyway, see what Sebastian has to say. It's actually not me. My wife was telling me about Jon osslin being sued by TLC and it got me curious.

Just got done with a 13-hour day at work. Did I mention I love my job?

Ugh. Sorry you had such a long day. That sucks.
I did, Lynora.
People looking to eat Thai food in Dallas, let me know ahead of time, I will hook you up. Actually, the same thing goes for DC and Queens.

I've never had Thai food before. I might be too picky an eater to enjoy it.
Sooo good.
Picky how? Meat and potatoes guy?

Pretty much. Although I have learned to like spinach (uncooked) and broccoli.
Live on the edge...try new things!
About the only thing I can think of that I truly hate and cannot eat is durian.
Thai food is delicious.
I like most ethnic foods. Indian food, though, I liked, but it did not like me :(
Not to be mean, but this sometimes is the fault of a particular restaurant, not the cuisine. :#

What would you recommend for someone who wants to stay away from teh vegetables?
Fair enough, Mairkurion. I have been wanting to give it another try.
I also don't find curry spicy. Very strange. Because I can't handle really hot peppers and the like, but it must be some weird tastebud thing that curry doesn't register as spicy to me.
There's plenty of Thai food that is light on veggies--there's actually a tendency in many Thai restaurants to add more veggies because their American patrons expect it. I think I'd recommend for you what I recommend for all people trying Thai food for the first time: Pad Thai. Little bits of green onion and cilantro are about all the veggies you're likely to get in Pad Thai: flat noodles, chicken, shrimp, (some places make you choose one or pay more for both), bit of tofu, peanuts, bean sprouts (some leave out sprouts), lime, and a little chile seasoning.
Sweet and a little spicy (unless you ask for it to spicy, and many Thai restaurants will have a rating system of 1-5 for how hot).
I like chicken with cashews. Some places add a lot of vegetables to it, but other places just give you chicken, cashews, and rice.

There was one Indian restaurant on Main St in Flushing that made me so freakin' sick...I should have sued them.
Yeah, I don't think of curry as being particularly hot, spicy more in a tasty sense. Although, I've had Thai curries that were fairly hot, but that was because of the peppers they added.
I need a subject for another limerick.

I'll give it a try. There's some folks at work that go to a local Thai place occasionally, so I'll tag along with them.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Sure, Taig.
CH - Limerick on Thai food?
(NB Chicken cashew may be a sign that the cook at the Thai restaurant is really Chinese!)

Yeah, I figured it wasn't a terribly authentic dish, but it doesn't make it any less delicious! They throw some basil in it and call it Thai.
Heathansson wrote: Celestial Healer wrote: I need a subject for another limerick. scabies. Jim Henson's Muppet Scabies?

Nah. Heathy posted. That makes him a target.
And I can't use scabies because people will think I'm obsessed with skin conditions. I used fleas for Taig and a rash for Mairkurion.

We all know that Heathansson's strange,
But let's see it like this for a change:
The nonsense he writes
On these cold autumn nights
Are delusions brought on by his mange.
Yep. Another skin condition.
Chinese food and Thai are delicious,
And I'll even eat Mexican dishes.
But when I eat curry
I'll run out in a hurry-
What it does to my stomach is vicious.

BTW, it would be fitting that the cooks at the Thai restaurants around here are Chinese, because all the cooks at the Chinese restaurants are Korean.
Who thinks Blibdoolpoolp is hot?

Blibdoolpoolp is either a nonsense word spoken by a 10 week old child or a euphemism for number two.
It's hard to talk underwater, especially with a crawdad head.
Or a brand name for moist towelettes.

At least it wasn't me this time. Last time that happened, people stopped posting to this thread.
