Awesome news - I always suspected, reaper minis took a keen intrest in the dungeon magazine APs (especially the savage tide AP, some of their pirate minis were just released / re-released in time for it as well as their terror bird mini) and I saw their new Stone Giant just when I was wondering how to get enough minis for the Fortress of the Stone Giants...so perhaps this isn´t all new ;)
Since I was buying almost exclusively Reaper Minis these are great news for me. Again: Thank you, Paizo!

If their are made in the P-65 HEAVY METAL line it would be awsome, cheap metal minis.
On the other side of the coin, as I live in a country where lead figures are still technically illegal, please stick with pewter.
Otherwise, fanastic news.
Although my husband will kill me if I: A. have another subscription, B. buy more figures before I finish some of the unpainted metal beside my painting desk.
Nonwithstanding that, I would love for the major Bad Guy from each of the AP books to appear. I have been trying to find them for the LOF, some are easy, some are hard.

Wow. Hmmmm.
I'd be very interested to hear what people would be looking for in a minis subscription. The more comments on that the better, as far as I'm concerned, because to tell you the truth we haven't really even considered it.
But it does seem a bit obvious, now that someone has brought it up.
Hmmmmm.
Put me down for a minis subscription.
And once you're done setting that up can I suggest a Pathfinder Subscription Subscription. I don't want to miss any of the good stuff.
:P

All Reaper minis contain lead; the P-65 minis just have a higher lead content.
However, the higher lead content is only part of the reason P-65 minis are cheaper—they're also sort of a "greatest hits" collection, using sculpts that have already had their costs completely covered by previous sales. Sort of like the Super Saver compact disc lines from some record companies—they're cheaper because the label has already recouped the advance they paid out to the artist.

Yeah let's hope Reaper is more reliable than Crocodile was.
While on the topic, Paizo could kick Q-workshop to work a little faster on the dice.
They were slow, then their warehouse burnt down... I'm not sure we can expect too much from Q at the moment.
I want more paper-minis to supplement my metals.

Would Reaper be producing as in just manufacturing them and Paizo sculpting them, or would Reaper be handling the entire fabrication process?
Which of the great Reaper sculptors will be heading the line if Reaper will be doing the entire fabrication?
Will they be newer white metal, or lead-alloy like their P-65 line?
Reaper will be handling everything other than approvals. We will be working with them to suggest which minis to do, but they are the best at making fantasy RPG minis, so we plan to sit back and let them do their magic!

THAT IS HOW IT'S DONE! I cannot wait for these minis then! And the response came from the CEO....You cannot beat a definitive answer like that!

What would I subscribe in regards of a minis subscription?
Hellfire, that is a hard question!
I already own a whole bunch of minis. Unfortunately I am only using less than 1/3rd on a regular basis.
What I would be interested in most kind of character minis (classes and Prestige Class minis). But subscribing???
The only subscription-mini-range that comes to mind is an AP-minis-subscription, as well as an iconic subscription. With the later, I'm not sure, as on how many different minis of the same character I could suffer.
As in regards to paper minis.... I myself don't care for them at all. I would subscribe to any AP-Line, be they prepainted plastic versions or unpainted metal. (Thinking of my wallet, I would rather take the less expensive).

I don't know what to make of it. It would be awesome to have minis associated with the product line but unpainted minis are just not very interesting.
My wife is a very capable painter, and takes commissions ;)
Besides...we could use the extra cash to buy the final rules pdf...
If you really mean it tell me what she charges and I'll try it out :D

Heck, if we can advertise here, I might as well point out that I'm a commission miniatures painter too. :) Done lots of both fantasy and Battletech minis -- and I'm eager to try out some of these and see if they can help put some bread on my table.
Which is another reason why I'm hoping they're metal and not pre-painted plastic ;) ....

There must be somewhere that people can show their work and wares so prospective buyers can buy them. Kind of like deviantart.com for minis painters.
I agree that there should be, although I've never seen one yet. I've even thought about starting one up, but always get stuck on how to get word out about it ....

You mean like CoolMiniOrNot?

Quote:You mean like CoolMiniOrNot?That looks good.
Now, trying to get a whole set of pathfinder minis painted without it costing $1000 :D

I love your miniatures and the fact they tie in with the books. I think it would be great to release a miniature that matched the book covers for the monthly releases....is that possible from a timing standpoint? Also would someone explain to my simple mind what exactly each of the monthly release books are so I can subscribe. Companion vs Pathfinder rpg etc, there seems to be several options each month to buy???
Thanks

Paizo has made the hat trick. Back in the day, we all bought Reaper minis to add to our Chainmail warbands because they put out similar-but-different versions of most of the Chainmail pieces and they were less expensive and better-sculpted. Paizo has put out a new version of the 3.5 rules-set after Wizards puts out a system many of us do not approve of.
Buying these minis is a complete no-brainer.
