A Story description of your current Game play, your first game experience, reviews of what you thought about (Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition, ect), PG-13 short stories, Black and White Art, A black and white Map - I pulled my colour one because it wasnt good enough quality.
I've written 9000 words across a whole lot of articles just to achieve 40 A5 pages in the 124 page Almanac.

For the zine - I'm assuming whatever I write should be RPG-based/aligned, but what kind of word counts are you looking for? How short is short?
Its a nice little Almanac of 124 A5 pages.
Articles
- 'TRADERS MARKET' Classified Ads for D&D stuff 4SALE or WANTED (100 words?).
- 'IMPERIAL MESSENGER' News paper article describing an event - along with thoughts on making it an Adventure Idea (single A5 Page).
- 'CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT' How to make NPCs or PCs better (1-4 pages).
- 'HOMEBREW POTIONS' New Magic items created by you for your own campaign (1/2-1 page with/without black and white art of your own creation).
- 'OTHER' Reviews, experiences, Ideas. what ever you think you would like to share with other readers.
I submitted an Imperial Messenger page, 20 Adventure Ideas, Designs for the SteamKolben (For those into LiveRPG), A short story that will be pulled from this issue and replaced, Articles on Subsidence in Dungeons, stuff on NPCs, Part 1 of a 'How to build your campaign from Scratch'. It comes to about 9,900-10,000 words collectivly.
I dont think it even needs to be D&D 4E - it might be Pathfinder, it might be 'system generic'.
Just email the editor. James is reasonably approachable.
I'm hoping we will sell the ezine for 50 cents per download to get the widest marketplace from issue 1 and be able to pay contributors for articles.
Submit 100 words on your first experinces with the Pathfinder RPG with some fanfic action on the lead-in.

For potential contributors I have just submitted a new article bringing my total up to around 12,000 words.
For those interested please do consider a write in. I am arranging things so that income from my selection of short stories will finance contributing article writers for Friars Almanac from hopefully issue one.
I consider it an investment in the future of the Friar's Almanac.
