Enervation

Liberty's Edge

Did the effects of multiple castings of this spell stack in the 3.5 model, and did Pathfinder do anything to change it one way or the other?

It just seems to easy to "kill" someone with this spell if you cast a few times, should the effects stack.

(especially since Restoration takes 3 full rounds of casting to remove them).

I know that Ray of Enfeeblement does not stack. So Im not sure if this follows the same logic, or not.

Thanks,
Robert

Yes, they stack under 3.5. Ray of Enfeeblement does not stack with itself because it applies a penalty, and you merely take the largest penalty from the same source.

Enervate applies negative levels, which continue to pile on up. Yes, Enervate is a nasty, nasty spell.

Sovereign Court

Most spells that apply a bonus to things to not stack, since the bonus is the same or from the same source.

Things that apply a specific penalty don't stack, you simply apply whatever penalty is worse.

If a spell does damage or drain though, multiple castings of that do stack.

Negative levels are nasty, but it seems in Pathfinder they don't have the threat of being permanent. Plus spell casters keep all their spell casting, woot!
