The following is a paid political announcement from Go Flumph Yourself...
A world without flumphs is like a world without unicorns. You wouldn't want to live in a world without unicorns would you?
Please. Vote "Yes" on Proposition 200 (because that's the page flumphs appear on in the Tome of Horrors.)

Oh, and Flumphs can stay in OotS. They're obscure and random for a reason. I'm with the EiC and crew. East side represent.

If I recall correctly, the flumph first appeared in White Dwarf's "Fiend Factory feature. It wasn't well thought-out as originally presented. The 1st edition Fiend Folio featured poor art and terrible decisions on the part of those who updated the monsters inside. Even well-conceived monsters were often messed up by that ill-starred book's development team.
The flumph deserves another chance! Handled by a more capable team of artists, writers, and editors, flumphs can rise above their comedic curse!

Count me as a loyal supporter of GoFY and the flumph! I'm looking forward to getting my tee shirt.
I totally feel for the poor, misunderstood creatures, to the extent that when I wrote material for Necro's Rappan Athuk Reloaded, I included a level that features the creatures. Sadly, when playtesting, my tabletop crew refused to fight them, the chickens! (Actually I think they were justifiably afraid of the bragging rights I'd get when the flumphs decimated them.)

I did a flumph conversion by request over on the Necromancer Games messageboard.
It's not official, but hey, if you want a flumph, there ya go.
:D
Thanks for the link, and welcome to the Paizo boards, by the way.
<checks watch>Hmm. Not yet time to do another promotional post for PaizoCon and PaizoCon UK 2010. ;)

I am signing both because I think the only LG creature in the 1E Monster Manual, by none other than E. Gary Gygax, deserves to appear in the standard-bearer of his brainchild and because I get an implicit understanding that signing this petition will get me one or all of the "Go Flumph Yourself" bumper sticker, campaign button, or tee shirt at some point down the road.
May the Flumph be with you.
Actually the Flumph wasn't a Gygax creation but a British one... and it's appearance was in the Fiend Folio which was created by reader submissions in White Dwarf which ran a Fiend Folio column. Gygax had nothing to do with it as it never appeared in the Monster Manual. As for the orginal monster manual, there were other LG monsters, Blink Dog comes to mind.
That said it's a waste of space in a tome where every monster gets at least a full page writeup. in the Fiend Folio I think it only got half a column.

To My Players:
If You Are Currently Playing In A Group That Includes Singara the Sorceress, The Green One, and Archimedes then you are NOT allowed to read this.
To all others:
I have upgraded the Dungeon Crawl Classic "Transmuter's Last Touch" to a 4th to 5th level dungeon for my players. One of the bits of treasure that have been stolen is a set of ledger books that Thurin Kreed has been using to keep track of his double book keeping as he has been embezzling money for himself from the Lumber consortium's profits.
In any case, in the process of adding more difficulty to this adventure (which was originally designed for levels 1-2) I have added more traps, a few more rooms and
FLUMPS
The kolbolds store a few Flumps in one of the cells in the old jail. If attacked they release the Flumps and use large fans to blow the Flumps in the direction of the PCs.
Is this enough for me to become a member of GoFY ?

I forgot, what does this stand for? Earlier, I called your goofy group The Flumph Liberation Front.

I hate for Texas to be associated with the flumph, however, they do wash up on the beaches of South Padre (good poppin' fun!), so maybe that makes a Texan qualified to write on them. Hugo, you hombres got 'em down ol' Mexico way?
All flumphs down here were hunted down for tacos meat a few years ago, so I wouldn't know.
My money is on the Texan too

These are our demands! You will give in, or you will succumb to the collective might of GoFY!You rang?
I'm also running a deal on torches.
Is that a fire sale on torches?

Did we win?
If flumphs had the STR to lift coolers of Gatorade...
...well they probably wouldn't really know what to do with it. But if they did it would be appropriate. :)
Loved that they're Desna fans. Makes me hopeful for more strange and alien(albiet less goofy, admittedly) followers for her.

I loved Misfit Monsters Redeemed. The flumph treatment was great!.
Also,
Well, it looks like you folks have forced my hand.
In fact, the adventure path right after Kingmaker will be "The Chronicles of the Flumph-o-nauts". This will be a bit of an experiment for us, and we will be rebuilding the old 2e spelljammer setting for the path. The adventure path will explore the deep backstory behind such iconic D&D races as the Giff, Dowhar, and Carbunkle as the players race to stop a Giant Fire-Breathing Sweet-and-Salty Two-Headed Half-Dragon Gninja Hobo NASCAR Space Hamster.
The first Pathfinder Chronicles Book supporting the adventure path will be the Complete Flumphs Handbook, which will provide the details of the elusive Flumph subraces, such as the Ice Flumph, the Fire Flumph, and the always popular, Wood Flumph.
By the time you receive the product, we should already be on an exotic island, counting our money and laughing heartily.
Er...ignore that last part.
The Real Eric Mona
Is it sad that I like the sound of that Adventure path and companion book (with the exception of the out of control Giant Space Hamster. A basic Giant Hamster, ala Tome of Horrors, would suffice just fine), and would gladly purchase a Pathfinder Spelljammer-like setting?
