I'm DMing a high-fantasy (read: double std treasure) PFRPG game with a dwarven druid PC. For some in-game reasons, the PC will be multiclassing over the next few levels as a sorcerer. But the player has a concern about the lack of advancement of his animal companion. He has asked me for some advice on a feat that would allow the AC to advance. I've done some research and have found a few similar feats from the Netbook of Feats, one of which that adds +3 to your druid class level (effectively allowing you to choose from the more advanced AC's). I've also seen ideas thrown around that cause the AC to advance at your CHARACTER level (vs druid CLASS level). The player has suggested that you use 1/2 of your non-druid-class-levels plus your druid levels. But I'm leery of messing with one of the cornerstones of the druid class.
Should I allow this type of feat (and how would you word it) or should I just say no?

One option (of many, I'm sure) that I can think of is the Arcane Hierophant, which is in the Races of Wild book (I think, I'm at work and thus book free at the moment, apologies). You're animal companion becomes your familiar as well. It compliments the multi-class quite well, since he'd be able to cast mage armor and shield on himself, and share it with his animal companion.
EDIT: I should note mine is a PrC, so The Shadow's may be a better option for the short term.

How about this instead?
Sorcerers don't get familiars (aka aracane bond). So what would they give up instead to get this ability?

The character will most likely take the Celestial Bloodline. But since the Arcane Bond power is a 1st level ability, maybe have the PC give up whatever 1st level ability their Bloodline gives them?

I presume you're talking about Natural Bond.
Personally, I bumped it to +4 so that it more closely mimics Practiced Spellcaster, which I consider the touchstone for such feats.
You could also include an Improved Natural Bond that covers levels 5-8 at some point.
FWIW,

I think that's fair, but if you do that, I'd restrict him to animals that make sense for a celestial. Eagles etc. Maybe even expand it out a little to make sure you get some options in that fit a celestial (Celestial Mouse (Not Rat), Celestial Butterfly, etc) for flavor.

Take that feat:
...and then slap the additional HD on this critter equal to the HD you would be getting via the Animal Companion feature (or vice versa: add extra HD to you animal companion equal to the HD given to you by the wild cohort table).
If your druid level is low, and you take the wild cohort feat, consider asking your DM to effectively make your animal companion equal to your character level instead of your druid level (which would simplify things and negate the need for peska extra HD calculations...)
Cheers! :)

The Wild Cohort feat, as written, specifically gives you another "companion" in addition to your regular AC. It would take some modification to make it work with your existing AC. And seeing as how I'm the DM, I'm not really comfortable with this option. I think natural Bond is the better alternative. But I am intrigued by the Wild Cohort option . . ..
