Quickly whipped up some tostadas.

Awww... I love Tostadas. We only ever have Tacos though (which I also love) unless we go to the Mexican Restraunt (which we haven't done for years now). :(

Oh, tostadas are super easy. Just take about four flour tortillas (I use whole wheat cause it's healthier) put them on a cookie sheet and spray them with olive oil cooking spray. Toast them at 400 degrees for 10 min. While they're cooking simmer some garlic (to taste), a can of black beans drained and rinsed, and about a half of a jar of salsa in a saucepan. When the tortillas are done, flip them over spoon some of the black bean mixture on each on, sprinkle some cheese over top and put it back in the oven for a minute or two, however long it takes to melt the cheese. Then, voila, fresh tostadas. :)

Oh, you mean you make your own tostadas. That sounds yummy! I was thinking you meant you fixed those frozen ones. :)

Ewwww. Yuk! No way. Especially not when they're so easy to make myself. :)

lol, they aren;tthat bad. :D

Fun dinners for us is things like that, or frozen nuggets and fries or tots, or even frozen pizzas. I can live off of them, but Moorluck grew up eating full homecooked southern meals, like with bread or biscuts or cornbread, all cooked and baked fresh, so yeah, he curls his lil nose at frozen dinners. lol ;)

lol. Yeah, frozen dinner are what I fix for the kid and me when my husband is away on business. He was raised with very meat and potatoes kind of cooking which I find tooooo boring. For me fun dinners are when I get to try something new. Which often means that they're total flops. Learning to cook Chinese food was a real process. I'm still not so great at a lot of it. Thai food is much easier. :) And I'm currently learning how to cook Indian and Moroccan food. Every so often I'll really throw things for a loop and make something crazy like pork chops and steamed broccoli and buttermilk biscuits, but not that often. :)

Now see, your chops and broccoli sounds good. i love biscuts, but I don't bake well. We tend to do like country fried steak and veggie and starch. I will buy fresh bread for them, but I just don;t bake well. Wich s why I am looking forward to Sharoth to get here, he is bringing his bread maker and making raisin bread!!!! :) Mmmmmmmmm!!

Oh, and you lost me on Thai, Indian and moroccan foods...uck.

My personal favorite is cooking a pork roast rubbed with kosher salt, fine ground black pepper and garlic at 200 degrees slowly for 2:30-3 hours with red potatoes and carrots thrown in with it. So good.

Hee hee. It's going alright. I'm just realizing I made a mistake in staying at my current employer. Oops.

Sorry I dropped out. We got surprise visitors from Florida. So, we've been entertaining them, and I just got away for a little bit.

Wow, there was a lot of fun while I was gone. Very busy day collecting documents so I could apply for a job as a historian at the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

How much history is there in 'See Spot Run'?

Wow that would be a sweet job David. Good luck with that!

As a tangental aside, do all presidents have libraries? Or is this a more modern affectation? Is there a Chester Arthur Presidential Library still out there?

EDIT: To the Internet! >LINK<. It is a relatively modern thing.

Cool! That sounds like an awesome job. I've never been to any presidential library, but hope to one day visit the Reagan Library, as he is my favorite.

You would be surprised. Nearly every document that was produced during the Bush administration will be housed in the library starting in 2014. Considering the controversial nature of his tenure, just looking through what actually occured from a first hand perspective will keep historians busy for generations. I imagine if things continue the way they are, the Obama Presidential Library, which will most likely be in Chicago if I had to guess, will be a similarly large treasure trove for historians. From a historians stand point, this is a great time to be alive.

Sounds like it would be a really cool job, David. Good luck.

There are some people on this board that are absolutely tasteless. I would like to say they should be ashamed of themselves, but I doubt they are or will be. I can't imagine why some people set out to start a flame war on the boards.

After the last one, I'm not sure if a third transformers movie is a good thing or not...

I liked the last Transformers. Of course I also liked The Empire Strikes Back, when everyone around me was telling me that was crap as well.

Same here. If there was anyone I would cheat on my girlfriend with it is Megan Fox.

Funny, Christina has said the same thing. Maybe you could have a threesome.

Good morning folks. Nice to see you all today.
David that sounds liek a wonderful oppurtunity. I truly hope this is the one! :)
Tina, see I don't think Megan is that hot, I mean sure in a trampy "I slept with the director for this role" kinda way, but I am more inclined to think that Nicole Kidman or "Sarah" from "Chuck" is HOT! ;)

Where is everyone? Oh, hey Solnes. I didn't see you there.

I'll give you Yvonne Strahovski, but Nicole Kidman is too old for me. Liz Shue on the other hand...

I'm not a fan of Megan Fox either. Yes she's attractive and yes if she said "come and have sex with me Craig" I wouldn't tell her where to go, but I'm more a 'cute hot' kinda guy. Scarlett Johansson is more my kinda girl...

True, but I am waiting for someone, then off to bed soon.
