Scarab Sages

Recently having played 6 scenarioes in Australia, and loving them. I would like bring what I experinced in Australia back home to New Zealand so others are able to have has much fun as I did. As such Christchurch is holding a convention called "Buckets of Dice" I am hoping to be running at least 6 tables, though i do have the potential to play 10-12 scenarioes if the demand is there. The date and location is 10th to the 12th of July in the UCSA Building of the University of Canterbury. So for those that have experinced Pathfinder and have loved it would be good to see you there as well the new guys that have played next to no games or a hand full games.

This will be my first time DMing a game of any sort and look forward to receiving ideas about what I could have done better.

Woohoo!

New Zealanders, get behind this, and support Phoenix's efforts, even if you have to make travel plans to get there!

It's great to see Pathfinder Society's debut at a New Zealand convention, and you couldn't find a nicer guy to get it off the ground!

Way to go Phoenix! :-)

Cheers Darkwhite sorta nervous that I have never run a game before and as for filling out the certs I am unsure of the event code and such important infomation. IS there anywhere that tells GMs/DMs what the event code is?

Hi Phoenix,

Go to (your) My Pathfinder Society page and create a new event.

Record any information someone wanting to attend "Buckets of Dice" might need to know, such as date, location, cost, transport, scenarios available, etc. You can even pin your location to a Google Map! Then anyone searching for Pathfinder Society events in their area can use Find Events to find your event. This also assigns an event number to "Buckets of Dice".

Then you will be able to report each session, scenarios played, character names, Pathfinder Society numbers, prestige points earned etc.

It would be a good idea to run a couple of scenarios for your home group as a practice run prior to the convention. You can also record these home sessions online, either under the "Buckets of Dice" event (even though the date won't co-incide), or you can create a separate ongoing private event to report your home games.

The only drawback to playtesting scenarios with your home group, is that they won't be able to play those secnarios again at the convention. Depending on how well the event is advertised, the size of your local roleplaying community, what other games are competing against yours for players, and gamers not getting out of bed until midday, you might find you need the support of your home group players to fill table numbers during some sessions, at least until reputation has built for Pathfinder Society running in your area.

Hope this helps.

PS, I think this thread belongs in the Pathfinder Society Grand Lodge section.

Cheers :-)

Believe me, I'd really, really like to get there... but failing an act of the Lotto Gods, for me it'd be a choice between going down to Canterbury to play Pathfinder in July, or actually buying the PFRPG hardcover when it arrives in NZ a couple of months later. :( (Yeah, I'm that skint. My life sucks. :()

That notwithstanding, this member of the Manawatu contingent offers Phoenix1990 and his compatriots best wishes/hopes of fun gaming and a successful event.
