Pity about Queen's Blade- after all, it was derived from Flying Buffaloes Lost World "dueling style" gamebooks, but more "good-girl anime style".
Here's one more that premiered this 2009: Guin Saga. Anime fantasy with a classic Howard/Lieber/Moorcock pulp sword and sorcery kind of spin, based off a successful light novel series in Japan. And like Brackett/Moore, the author, Kaori Kurimoto is female.

Basquatch is intriguing so far. Ethnic diversity (of a sort), a bizzare spin on the mecha concept, and a cute mascot character that farts in the face of the main character to knock him out/settle him down. That and it does a very good job of combining CG mecha footage with some very beautiful and quality standard animation.

So after two episodes of Basquash! I'm undecided. I'm not sure this is a "keeper" of a show or not. The animation, IMO, is wonderful. But a story of a kid trying to make it to the moon (for his sisters sake) playing basketball in mechs just isn't home for me.
Anyone else watch it and have an opinion?

Sengoku Basara, gotta admit I had high hope for this. But it just didn't hook me at all.
Dragonball Kai, a remaster (re-editied to fit with the manga) version of Dragonball Z. While a huge DBZ fan, is it worth watching from over again?
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, I think I've mentioned this before but... This is awesome! The story is supposed to be closer to the anime than the original series and after only two episodes I'm addicted. The animation and voice acting is great

Would have arrived earlier had you used a Gate spell.
Was in such a rush using Gate slipped my mind. Curse my low intelligence score

Unfortunately, subs for the Guin Saga episodes past the first have not been forthcoming. Fortunately, the raw, unsubtitled versions are available for viewing. While you might not get all the minute details, all the action in the episodes themselves are broad enough that you could piece together what's going on.

Basquash! 3. Anyone other than myself form an opinion on this show yet?
Aside from the one I posted earlier? Nope. None at all. Basquatch is a great hallucination that only you and I are having. Because you and I are the same people. Soylent Green People!
