you can get poisoned from the sun? Or are you talking about sunburns? I'm confused.

Man I'm slow today. Okay, much replying commences now... :)

Meesa too. Many thanks for the well wishes :)

Little Kiba wrote:

Little bit of both I guess. My best friend's car had a radiator leak while on the road, and we had to limp his vehicle to an auto parts store to seal the crack. I spent about two hours out in the fine Georgia sun yesterday as a result, and it came back with a vengeance last night.

I've got bad sunburns on my head, neck and shoulders, apparent dehydration, no appetite, and nausea (though it seems to be passing now). Good times ;P

No sir - I think we're good for the moment. I just have to wait on Patrick, since Muulsh is going to be involved in the aftermath of the robbery, so I'm still in a holding pattern. I know he's still got load of RL stuff to deal with first, though...

Thw war-merchant watches the day's violence from his shop with glee.

Wow, sounds like a bad day in the Las Vegas heat. I remember a friend and mine were at the old water park. Stayed out all day with no sun screen. Got home and my shoulders were blistering and oozing. Body temperature sank and I had the head-to-toe shivering chills. I was sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket trying to stay warm on a July Summer day. Good times? Yuck! ;p

Yuck sums it up perfectly - I'm just glad I can eat again now without feeling queasy ;D

Time to head home and get some shut-eye. I'll see everybody in the morning! :)

Yay!

I was wondering if the site was ever going to come back online today...'twas a sad morning without it :(

Well, it's good to know I wasn't the only one experiencing Paizo withdrawal this morning. ;)

Yep yep ;P

I guess I'd better move things along a bit while I have the chance...

"What now?" she says, looking at the trashed shop of Muulsh the Merchant.

"I guess we need to speak with the Watch now that the clerk and his guards are going to be okay," Devlyn says as he gives the clerk a pat on the shoulder. He calls over the Watch Captain and gives all the information he can regarding the drow's appearance, mannerisms and abilities, as well as the unusual holy symbol she wore, the description of the necklace that was stolen, and any information that the clerk can relay on that necklace (which Devlyn will want to know as well).

After spending a couple of hours giving the Watch Captain all the information he can, Devlyn eventually extricates himself from the House of Muulsh and makes his way back to Pete's shop to meet up with Allura and the boys.

Allura has changed into some old work clothes and is sorting through the things Pete left in the back room. She sees Devlyn as she stands up with a pile of nets in her arms. She stops to concentrate for just a moment before setting the nets into the 'give away' pile.

telepathically:

:I still don't know how to lift the silence. But I've got telepathic links with each of you now, so we can still communicate after a fashion.:

:Works for me, love. We'll need to figure something out on this silence problem eventually, but one thing at a time. Now let me shut up and be useful: as he smiles and starts to help with the sorting.

:As far as I can tell, Pete was living in the back room here. There's a cot in the corner where he slept. I think we're going to need to add a second story to this building. For living quarters I mean.:
She glances over at the boys.
:Maybe a couple of extra stories. I have a feeling we're going to need the room.:

He smiles to himself as Allura looks over at the boys.

:Hmmm...I hadn't thought of that. Though I had already decided that we need to pretty much rebuild from the ground up if we're going to do this right. I don't think this place could support another level as is,: as he looks around and gently shakes one of the walls.

Time for me to fly. I'll be back in the morning (and at my normal time too, if I have anything to say about it! :D)

Muulsh arrives at the scene of the attack and rapidly arrainges for his building to be repaired

What in the Hells was that drow witch after?

Morning All :)

The Dalesman wrote:

Good morning. :)

After making a late evening of the initial cleanup and getting some well-earned rest, Devlyn is up before the dawn continuing the work that still needs to be done. The one advantage to the preternatural silence still gripping the building was that he didn't have to worry about waking the others by being too noisy...

They should be able to take care of the 'giveaway' pile this morning, and free up some room to properly inventory the more useful items that Pete left behind for him so he could dispense them properly.

Allura woke a little after dawn, surprised that she had slept so late. The boys were still sleeping, so she left them and went in search of breakfast. She found Devlyn already working.

:Don't you ever need to sleep?: she asked, amused. :I'm going to go and get some breakfast for us all. I'll be back soon.:

He smiles and gives her a kiss as she goes by.

:Mornin' love. I promise I got some sleep. Having a Ring of Sustenance just helps when you've got a lot of chores to do:

:And breakfast sounds great - that should definitely wake those lazy lumps up,: he says with a wink.

Allura heads out into the bazaar. She wanders the shops stopping to buy fruit and freshly baked rolls to bring back for the others. She spots a child eying the baked goods hungrily and 'accidentally' drops one of her purchases. She smiles to herself when she sees the child running off with its prize. She stops to buy some freshly cooked sausages from a street vendor and heads back to the shop.

When Allura returns, the aroma of sausage wafts through the shop along with the smell of freshly baked bread. She sets up a table of sorts using an old chest and sets out the food.

Whoa dudes, that food sure smells good. And I sure am hungry after a night of smok...uh...having fun playing parcheesi.

:Ahh - that smells divine. Thanks for getting those!:

Devlyn grabs some small barrels to use as makeshift stools and grabs up some of the food before the boys descend on it :P

Allura takes a roll and some fruit and starts to eat.

:I saw a kid when I was out shopping. I didn't get a really close look. I'm not sure if the kid was a boy or a girl. But either way, he looked hungry. So I 'dropped' some of my purchases and he grabbed them and took off. I don't know if he's just from a really poor family or if he's on his own. But either way I'd like to keep an eye out. See if maybe we can help.:

:Absolutely. I'm sure there are quite a few people from both backgrounds around the Bazaar, as well as those pretending to be. We'll see what we can do for them, don't worry.:

Should we fast-forward through some of the repairs?

He puts an arm around her and gives her a gentle squeeze. :Now you're making me blush,: he laughs.

Sounds good to me...though it's beginning to look like a total gut and rebuild, so we may just be fast-forwarding the cleanout of the inside. Hmm...

Well, if we fast-forward to the next ummm, I can't remember if it was the next full moon or the next new moon when the silence would be lifted. Anyways, that should give us enough time to clean out the inside, knock down walls and such and be starting on the actual building. Or we can just go to whichever part of the process you want really. Just let me know.

Argh - getting slammed today. Sorry for the slow replies... :(

The silence ends on the next full moon, so if we advance to that point, then we don't have to worry about that anymore. The cleanout and demolition could easily be done by then, and the new construction started. I'm fine with that :)

One thing we could do if you want:

Spoiler:
We could send all of the useful supplies/items they find to Nimora to help with the Brightwater problem.

And we'll assume that whenever the party at the Eyrie actually happens they will go. It just wouldn't do to be rude ;)

Okay, then advancing to the next full moon with potential flashback occurring at some point for a trip to the Eyrie. :)

Spoiler:

And Nimora would definitely not say no to any extra supplies right about now. You can easily ship them via omniportal.

Done and done. We'll assume that the 'supply run' already happened as well, and there are still some goodies that they were able to hold on to at the Bazaar. If you have something you want to start, go ahead, otherwise I'll try to slap something up after I clear my desk a bit :D

Bwahahaha!

During the supply run, Devlyn(and possible Allura) hear rumors of a strange cat-like shadow seen in the Bazaar the night before.

Can't continue it right now, and SP won't show up in your new house anyway(not his style). Just a warning I guess.

"A Weak Joke for a Weekday" as I like to say, mi'lady... :D

And I've got to throw in the towel for the day (quite the crazy afternoon here...sheesh :P) I'll try to post some stuff on the construction in the morning.

A pleasant evening to all :)

And good morning everybody... :)

The events at the House of Muulsh caused quite a stir in the Bazaar, but the wheels of commerce and industry roll ever on, and it eventually faded into the background gossip and tavern talk of the city.

It took some convincing to hire the help that they needed for their new 'project' due to the pall of silence gripping the building but Devlyn and Allura were finally able to do so. After cleaning out Pete's old inventory (and sending most of it to Nimora to help with Sandreef's current need) they were able to tear down the old building and get a new, solid foundation and basements dug out. When the next full moon came around, they received the added bonus of the silence effect fading away (which raised morale considerably).

After a few experiments in omniportal travel, Devlyn was able to return to his homeland and make the necessary arrangements to expand his little winery business to the Bazaar. And thanks to their quick rendering of assistance at the House of Muulsh, purchasing the adjacent empty lots to expand the property went very quickly.

As the second month since LJ's acension comes to a close, walls to shield from the wind and sands are being traced out around the perimeter as both landscaping and the first floor of the main building's construction get underway. A sign goes up announcing coming arrival of a new business venture in the Bazaar: The Deeping Wine Garden...

Good morning.:)

Allura had developed something of a routine over the last couple of months. every morning she went to buy breakfast, and every morning she dropped some bread to be retrieved by the waif who still stayed just out of reach. She'd tried to catch up a couple of times when the kid ran away, but so far no luck. But at least she knew he was getting fed.
It was somehow satisfying to see how much progress they were making, although it was also a bit daunting when she stopped to realize just how grand they were actually making this place.

As Devlyn was waiting on the arrival of the 'specialists' he called in from home to help with the foundation work for the building and the garden, he indulged in a moment's pride in the work they had all done so far, and his amazing good fortune to have certain folks in his life... ;)

As the spellcasters arrive, Devlyn, already wearing a contented smile on his face, comes out of his reverie and greets them jovially. A little pride is alright, but there's still a lot of work to be done!

A humble question for you, lynora:

Spoiler:
Do you own a copy of the Stronghold Builder's Guide, perchance? :)

Its amazing how she seems she has forgotten she knows someone who is a kid and can track(though it would be extremely hard in a crowded Bazaar). Not to mention the fact he's lived on the Bazaar's streets before.

She could wake him. Or check to see if the full moon caused him to stay up all night. He'd sleep the rest of the day but would help her first.

Okay.

The next morning, Allura shakes a sleepy Lk awake, and brings him along to purchase the breakfast supplies. He yawns a lot and rubs his eyes sleepily. When they get to the baker's she draws his attention to the urchin lingering nearby.
:That's the one I told you about,: she tells him, telepathically. :Every day he's there watching. I always drop some bread for him, and he grabs it and runs away before I can talk to him.:
