Who's still playing, as their primary campaign, OD&D (any of the books); or 1st or 2nd edition AD&D? I'm talking about the TSR stuff, not C&C, OSRIC, L&L, S&W, etc., but the original rules.

I am running two campaigns for two different groups in the same campaign setting. Both use a mix of Rules Cyclopedia and 2E AD&D.

I do plan to upgrade to 3E when these campaigns finish. However, one of these campaigns started before 3E was released, so I can't say when that will happen. I am thinking now is a good time to pick up a set of 3.5 books at a reasonable price.

I am also thinking my 1992 Nissan isn't going to be able to transport me too much longer, which is why I bought a second hand 2004 Volvo from my brother-in-law recently.

I thought about running an old basic moduel with some friends who never played D-n-D. Just for old times sake.

I use a mix of 1st and 3rd books at my gaming table. Characters are made up generally 3rd, but I use the 1st ed DMG for encounters and treasures, and I refer to the 1st ed MMs when there isn't a conversion for some monster in 3rd ed.

i play in a weekly campaign of AD&D first edition, but heavily houseruled so that proficiencies work better. There is a low level group (2-3), medium level (3-6) and occasional games for a high level player who cannot make it regularly (his character is multiclassed and at least 15 level, with he other players ranging from 8th to 13th). All is set in Greyhawk campaign setting and we are having a blast.

A LOT of the monsters from 1e were converted in Tome of Horrors series!! heh...goood stuff, good stuff.

I'm trying to talk some buddies into playing some 1e AD&D set in Greyhawk. Only change i'm using is a progressive AC table, screw THAC0....

I still DM two games of a mashup between 1e and 2e. We have had one particular campaign going for the last 18 years. Party's average level is about 21st now.

I am currently DMing two games, one a 2e game and one a BECMI (Mentzer edition D&D) game, while playing in Runequest (current Mongoose edition) game.

I just started a 2e campaign with some friends. I sharpened my rpg teeth on 2e, so it's almost like coming home. I've been reading a lot of od&d blogs and wish I had a dm like that living in my area. I would love to play in one.

If nobody knows about it I suggest going over to grognardia and enjoy yourself. while your there check out his links to the right. Jeff's gameblog is another good one.

I've just started playing a Rules Cyclopedia (BECMI D&D) game set in Mystara. Traladara, just before Duke Stefan Karemeikos makes a bargain with the Emperor of Thyatis to make it his. Halav, Petra and Zirchev only know what we will do about it.

Though technically that isn't any of the games you mentioned.

Probably should get the Tome of Horrors at some point, but when the 1st ed is easily at hand, I can convert on the fly if it gets to that.

A couple games ago, the ranger correctly identified a snappersaw before anyone stepped into it, so the shadow mage used a shadow hand effect to go in and pick all the delicious berries, leaving the carnivorous plant unsprung (as I reason would happen if small birds fluttered in to pick the berries, never touching the leaves).

Me.

My next campaign will definitely be either OD&D or C&C, maybe a blend of the two. I just discovered Swords & Wizardry (which really is OD&D with a bunch of elements from Supplement I - Greyhawk), and intend to build upon it as of this day.

By the way, I have a new blog about my return to the roots.

The Citadel of Eight. Check it out!

We had a heavily modified version of AD&D 2nd we were running when 2nd ed was still being published, and saw no reason to change it when 3.0 and 3.5 came out. We just figured out how to convert the 3.5 stuff to our system. We change things as we feel are needed and have incorporated things from 3.5 as well as other systems, but the main structure and feel is still the 2nd ed. rules system.
