They're a little unconventional.Father Timmis is 60 - he led a quiet life running a temple somewhere and burying his nose in books. He was a pacifistic 'let's all just get along' type - until eventually, bad stuff involving undead happened and his temple was overrun, and most of his flock/acolytes were killed or driven off. He barely escaped with his life and reluctantly took up arms. He's still not very good at the martial/adventuring type cleric, but he does his best. As far as his devotion goes, ideal would be a neutral good god with access to healing and knowledge domains.
(Currently his background is all Golarion based, but I will tweak it.)
Although he's old, I'm not looking for any stat adjustments or in-game effects, I've just generated his stats with poor physical skills and enhanced mental ones.
I remembered about Father Timmis after I posted that. Yeah, I'd say the Watch would take him. They're desperate enough :)
Pick any deity you like. They worship a little bit of everything here since the original inhabitants of the plane were ganked from all sorts of other places.

Yeah, so, I didn't quite read all the posts. You still have an opening?
I'd be interested in running a neutral warlock (if that is ok, from Complete Arcane) or running a cleric or archivist if the group needed one.
I would love to get in on a "new" game like this as I'm learning myself.
I'll go roll myself up a character just in case you still have an opening.

I still have three openings for Adventure on the High Seas, and three openings for Night Watch. Let me know which one you want. There's already a warlock in the High Seas game, if that effects your decision at all.

I think my warlock will fit in nicely with the watch.
I will start creating him tonight and try to have him 100% done tomorrow.
He'll be true neutral.
So, if the watch feels they can use a warlock, I will have him up and ready to go.
Oh, and I'll be able to post daily about 99% of the time as far as availability goes.

Great. Sounds good. I have you on my list :)

How long are you keeping them open Lynora? I just dropped out of another one because I have been having all my time taken up by my kids this week. If you have a spot open still early next week I would love to join the fun.
I know how that goes. My little guy has been home sick with the flu this week. Given that I'm still filling spots, and that I'm going to have to get everybody's characters done and go over them before the game starts for real, I probably will be starting the game itself around this time next week, so if that works for you let me know which game you're more interested in and I'll hold a spot for you.

Sorry just to be clear we're doing the rolling via http://invisiblecastle.com/ Right? and are we rolling for stats or using a point system?
sorry again
It's fine, and that's a good question about the rolling. Yes, we'll be using invisible castle. And you already found the answer to your other question. :)

Can I join? I don't care which one you put me in, this is my first pbp. Can you shoot me an email as to what I'll need?
I am planning on being a dwarven fighter.
Not without an email address I can't :) But it's pretty simple. Pathfinder Beta rules, 20pt buy, 2700gp, take 10% off the cost of all magic items, nonstandard races and classes accepted, and there's no extraplanar travel/contact in this otherwise high magic world. I'm happy to help anyone integrate their background into the world. And I'm here to answer any questions.
I will tentatively put you down for High Seas, so let me know if you change your mind.

Obviously with a fighter/duelist I won't be dealing with any of this directly, but just out of curiosity to get a better background of the world, by no planar contact, is that limiting summoning magic too?
Also, if there is any need to get in contact with me through email, you can get in contact with me with felixcosima at gmail dot com
Thanks,

Summoning magic is a little odd here. Summon nature's ally works fine. But Summon Monster can have complications. You can summon, but what you're summoning lives on this plane of existence. They can't truly die while summoned same as normal, they just poof back to where they came from. But if they ever find you (and there's a decent chance of this), wow are they gonna be pissed.

Interesting,
One of my favorite characters was a Malconvoker in a game that unfortunately sputtered out before we got too far past him attaining that rank. A mostly good, if callous person who had a real hatred for evil outsiders and enjoyed the idea of forcing them to do his will(had an imp familiar who he probably treated worse then even the other devils would).
Since he probably would have gotten stomped by half the things he summoned were he not controlling them, that would probably make his life much more interesting in this world.

Alright, Quentin Silverhome(Alias of Tarlane) is up and ready for business. I will likely shift small things around until we are actually ready to play, I am very torn at the moment whether to go duelist or to go straight fighter and just be a very dex based, but I think the most that will change is whether I pick up a buckler or not and the arrangement of some skills.
I tried to keep the profile somewhat lean and you didn't seem the type to be too worried about it, so I didn't add in the weights of the items or anything, though I have that information if you want it(squeeking in just under light load, Rope is heavy!), and I have a list of how much each item costs in case you want to see where my money went. I didn't pick up any magical gear to start with, but I did pick up two mithril items(the rapier mostly as a character quirk since it doesn't really do anything but make it a pound less) and some special material arrows. However I didn't expect special materials to get the magical item discount so I didn't include that in the purchasing.
I'll try and get a description of him as well as the start of a background up as soon as I have some time, and hopefully find a better picture as well.
If you have any questions about him, let me know.
Thanks,
-Tarlane

Great, I added you to the list.
Your background looks good. Hagen is Day Watch, so you won't be working directly with him. And your lieutenant has an eerily similar background to yours, so that should be interesting :)

Alright, sounds good. I had figured as much, but a good sailor is always prepared. I actually had originally had a bedroll, tent and a handfull of other mundane stuff, but those things are heavy and I figured it all would be covered with the ship.
I know I'm bugging you with plenty of questions now, but I was curious if since we are using the beta rules if the other feats for playtesting Jason proposed were available as well? I wasn't going to swap any of them in now, but I'll likely be picking up combat expertise and improved disarm over the next couple levels, and I had my eye on greater disarm. Also, if the game makes it up into higher levels I'd probably be interested in some of the critical hit feats.
Link to the feats in question is here.

I would have no problem with Greater Disarm, although level-raising in a PBP can take awhile so I'm not too worried about it right now :)
And I never mind being pestered with questions.

Gah,thanks. I've had so many aliases getting thrown at me the last couple of days I can't keep track of who's who anymore :) The sleep deprivation and time spent cleaning up vomit aren't helping that much either. This will be a little less confusing once I split it into discussion threads I think. Which I will do tomorrow.

Heremy character is.
Still gotta put finishing touches on things. But that's the basics.
Hope I didn't foul it up too bad. 1st warlock AND first 100% Beta character. :)

I only got to glance at it, but you're also shorting yourself hps. Max hps each level. Also you're short one invocation. I give warlocks an invocation every level.

For Pathfinder you'd get an Invocation each level so you get one more.

I like to keep the warlock at d6. I looked at changing it, but they are essentially casters and it seemed more in keeping with that to give them the lower hit dice.

Makes sense. Hurts if you go for the Eldritch Glaive melee build but yeah they really are an alternate caster.

Alright, will go and tweak all that stuff.
One issue I might have.
I tried the invisible castle link and my stupid work blocks it.
I'll check it out at home. All this would do is mean I can't use it as a roller during work hours. :(
But, I can still post here, obviously. Just means some of my posts will be later in the(my) day here.
Also I'll get my character description written up and posted as well.
Thanks for pointing out I'm shorting myself HP. I'm sure Harden will need it.
