Hey, I'm looking to wrap up the star quest in the next few days. We're going to get the one at the shop, and the one in the tent city, without much trouble. Lk is already trying to get the one at the arena. After that we have the toymaker and the priestess, both of which troubles are going to be solved by the same person. (I knew I kept that djinn around for a reason.) :) Then there is the necromancer. That one might end in a fight, or he might be open to reason. I don't know. Which leaves the traders from Leng and the dragons. I have an idea for all of these three. I would like to find a way to lure/invite all of them to the Grove along with their stars. We don't actually have to possess all the stars, they just all need to end up in the Grove.

Sounds good to me. I'll try to get Devlyn freed up so he can be there. It would just be rude to miss a friend's recorporation ;)

Umm, the traders from Leng are likely to prove unco-operative, or at least the faction which currently has the stars. Their response, when it comes, is going to be based off the idea that they can be calling in favours, ransoming the things off for years, which would not fit with your schedule, nor would I intend that it would.
I was thinking that that line of star-chasing might end up with some sort of battle in the Realms of Dream (a different faction of Denizens of Leng? the Runelord? someone else?) with the aim of disposing of the awkward traders, and taking their stars.
Sorry - I think I may have been reading too much Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath recently.

I need to know if Allura's spell could heal enternal bleeding and a lot of organ damage. Also, Oroth may have set the omniportal for a cave he knows well, subconsciously of course, over in the RP thread.
Also, is the gladiator who has the star some one's alias?
I had thought Devlyn/the Dalesman was going to run with that line.

I was considering it, yes. It looks like Little Kiba may have beaten me to the punch, so to speak. I'm okay with that :)
If things start to go poorly for the pup, though, Devlyn is coming back to the Bazaar soon to help out, as this first skirmish with Shadow Pelt will break off momentarily.
(I'm not sure if DB3's idea was to have Little Kiba bite off more than he can chew or not, but it would fit his personality).

What can I say? I really like were-creatures. I once tried to make a were-phoenix without knowledge of the template(having only seen the monster manual that had the phoenix stat block and having only played 1 or 2 games at that point). Needless to say, it didn't work.

Charles, please don't take this the wrong way. I don't intend to sound hostile. But at this point you are basically holding my character hostage and it's starting to be irksome. A battle is one thing, but every time I go to engage in it you pull yet another 'you can't do that'. You keep bringing in more and more powerful creatures to keep me from acquiring the stars and then you close off the borders of the Realms of Dream so we can't get in, and well, NO! I want my character back. I don't have a problem with having to deal with people being difficult about it. But I have no intention of mothballing the character indefinitely over this. Either open up the Dreamlands, and have Arielle finish the quest for the last stars or give me another option. Or another option will magically appear.

Allura is a relatively high level favored soul. I think a cure critical should probably cover that sort of thing.

Hm, a possibilty to be sure. But if he has just unleashed way too much power? Even when using the power-storing stones he'd bought?
His body might just be past its limit.

Obviously up to you. She has the ability to cast cure critical multiple times, and Breath of Life (like raise dead but has to be done right away and doesn't incur the penalties) which she would use if necessary. But, hey, it's your character and it's up to you how much good those things do.

With a little bit of sibling rivalry going on, the stars of which I am aware are now rationalised into three places, with the exception of the one at the gladiatoral event.
1) Those Arielle has.
2) Those Daelemos has.
3) Those Eiboria has.
The dragons have left Arielle's stars out of their respective collections for various reasons, but basically, each has a different motivation for wanting her alive.
The star ND retrieved counts as being in the group which Eiboria possesses.
Neither dragon particularly wants to personally operate 'as dragon' in the Bazaar at present, since they might need it, intact, for the future.
I now return you to your scheduled evening of gladiatoral combat.

Charles Evans 25 |
At some point, Daelemos will be sending Arielle a 'come and say hi' invitation.
At the moment Eiboria and the stars she has are probably off the radar, back in the Realms of Dream.
CSI (Las Vegas) is about to commence to air here, in the UK, so I shall be offline for a while, watching it.
If anyone wants an alias to sign up to the bout and post some fights, please do so.
Entrance fee is minimal, but artifacts are required to be left 'at the door' (as they might function in the antimagic) - the man running the fights is getting his return from entrance fees to spectators and getting a name for hosting a 'big event'.
Bouts are until all but one gladiator has surrendered/is unconcious/is dead, and the 'last man standing' goes through to the next round.

This may just be a sad statement of my ability to understand the English language, but I've read Nirellia'a commentary in the portrait gallery about five times now, and I still can't make heads nor tails of it. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be information contained there or if it was mysterious on purpose. Either way my head hurts now. :)

Well it started off as a updating myself so I'm clear on the Aritha situation, but at the end it's turned into a something or other clarifying for me where Nirellia's going to be coming from shortly.
I've referenced some things from homebrew fiction where Lucifer was a fallen celestial who was the first evil, made the first seven dragons, and was responsible for the Greater Succubi/'Daughters of the Morning', before he was tricked into destroying himself by desperate celestials who wanted to stop him from unleashing his 'angel of destruction' upon existence.Don't worry. I have no intention of bringing Lucifer into this, unlike my fiction where poor Aramintha Jaine becomes the hapless pawn of his echo/spirit, in his quest to complete his project to unleash his 'angel'. :)
Edit:
ND may be chaotic evil, but she has some feelings, and is in a certain amount of turmoil at the moment over things looming on the horizon.
Further Edit:
Regarding 'the demon dragonfire' I think Eiboria may have been an oft overlooked footnote amongst the notes/mythology, because they [various demon/dragon/etc plotters] were looking for other things, bigger and grander, to achieve their goals - machinery, spells which sacrificed whole cities, divine intervention by evil deities.
They couldn't even begin to imagine the concept of Eiboria as having place in the designs.
Hope that clarifies things... :)

DB3:
Okay, I admit it, I looked under the spoiler tag in the profile of your new villain. And I'm pretty glad I did. The mysterious cloaked figure you guys saw on the mountain is also a servant of Zon-Kuthon. So they may or may not be willing to work together, but they would almost certainly be aware of each other.

The only thing I really detailed were the resurrection pods and the robots and a few nasty weapons of mass destruction. Feel free to make up anything else you might need.

Patrick:
I was wondering about how the Grey Wanderer might pay Jacque, and it occured to me that one possible method for larger sums of money might be gambling chips. Does Jacque frequent local taverns, dens, or casinos which might use such items?
The Grey Wanderer would prefer not to pay Jacque any large sums in cash or gems for a variety of reasons, and he will have carried out some research as to Jacque's background when considering how he might pay him.

Jacque is a woodsman, so barrels of whiskey, fine food and furs are always a good bet. If the Grey Wanderer wanted to 'run a tab' for him at the local brothel-saloon I'm sure he would be most appreciative... :)

Okay, signing out for the night.
Unless anyone wants to take it in another direction, I will try to report in with the end of the gladiatoral event within a day or so, and then Arielle/etc can figure out what they want to do about the dragon(s?).
Oh, and, Lucinda may be heading for the Pearl thread next to possibly cause havoc there.
