Liberty's Edge

This movie looks fun; kind of like an afterthought to Jumper (a movie Stephen King and I quite enjoyed, despite the rest of the world). Plus, "Anneberg Cadence" was included in the soundtrack--yay, me.

Scarab Sages

It looks like a good flick... I can't wait to see it.

Just saw this one Saturday, really cool. Lots of special effects and a nice twist in the storyline. Especially a must see for anyone who likes psionics/psychic powers. I love the class tags; Pushers (Telepaths), Movers (Telekinetics), Watchers (Clairvoyants), and a host of other cool names. In fact, I really need to put this on the "What does Psionics mean to you" thread. Cuz, this movie really defines them for me, for either fantasy or modern, or for that matter, Sci-Fi.

I started laughing in the theater during the brawl between telekinetics, which prompted a confused look from my freinds. Later, in the parking lot, they asked about it. I replied that I was amused that as awesome/badass/manly/cool/brutal as the fight scene looked, with its telekinetic shields, shockwaves, and sparks, the only thing that was going through my head was "Wow, mage armor and magic fang look pretty cool."

Since my freinds are also gamers, they found the amusement that I had, in that the raw awesome of the fight could be expressed in terms of 1rst level spells.

Obviously, in D&D, the other effects like telekinesis, dominate, and divination are all higher level. But it amused me nonetheless that the most awesome scene was really just two people with magic fang and mage armor beating the crap out of each other.

Dark Archive

I saw the trailer and all I thought was hey isn't this a tv show..... wait no thats Heroes. And thats nothing like this movie at all :P
