Greetings, all!
I wanted some feedback, because my players are really getting into item crafting and I've never really had anyone in any of my groups do more than scribe a few scrolls. I'm running the Pathfinder Beta with Curse of the Crimson Throne (and converting things almost entirely on the fly -- yay, backwards compatibility!).
I have a 5th level party. Currently, my Wizard has Scribe Scroll, Brew Potion, and Craft Wondrous Item, the Cleric is picking up Craft Wand, and the Paladin is taking Craft Magic Arms and Armour. I expect that as they level up, they will continue making use of these and pick up some other ones, to boot. I suspect the Players just want to get their grubby hands on more Item Cards ;)
In order to not bog the game down too much, I've decided to use Craft Points to speed up the item creation. It's not too bad now, but as things get more expensive, I foresee the Party wanting to take months off to craft things.
Is there anything else I should be worried about? Any tips from you all on how best to deal with having lots of custom-crafted equipment in the party? Will I need to take any special precautions to avoid blowing the wealth-by-level guidelines out of the water? There haven't really been any problems yet, but I want to make sure there won't be any in the future, either.
Thanks,
Tamago

I think time might be an issue. Since crafting magic items is going to take months, I can't imagine Ileosa sitting idly waiting for the PCs to finish making their items. Furthermore, it seems the events that happen from A History of Ashes up to the end of the adventure path occur fairly consecutively and without breaks, so I'm not sure when they'd have a chance to sit down and rest for a month crafting magic items. But, who knows, maybe you can tweak something...

There are definatly parts of the path which have breaks... espeically in between books. when they are in the downtime, I would suggest 'newspapers' telling of the goings on of the city, perhaps two differeing papers, some pro-queen some anti-queen? it makes it fee real and not static... if you want, if you can predict when the downtime will be, the boards could assist in those papers

Thanks. As I mentioned, I'm using Craft Points from Unearthed Arcana, so crafting time should be less of a problem. Essentially, each character gets a pool of points each level they can use to craft items "instantly." That should reduce the time off factor, though at the rate they're going, my players might burn through those and do some normal crafting as well!
I really like your newspaper idea, though, Cpt_kirstov! I may go ahead and print up some of those if I have the time, just to add flavor.
