Siege engine stats

Additional Rules

Liberty's Edge RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32, 2011 Top 16

Every time I've played in an encounter that involved siege engines, the PCs want to destroy or disable them, yet the rules are silent on this topic.

Can the rules for these be expanded to include hardness, hp, and a disable device DCs?

That would be nice, though we typically just cast animate object on them.

Not as easy when you're 5th level. But at that point, you can cast a fireball on them, and ask if it's destroyed. If you knew ahead of time roughly what the stats on it were, you'd know if it's worth doing that.

Hmm, this is an interesting point in the rules. I will investigate and see if I cannot include some very simple guidelines.

Very good point brought to our attention. We seen it in a few movies, that individuals do go out of their way to attack siege equipment directly, either from the curtain wall, gate house, castle or cliff, or raiding knight parties from the side or the back. So definitely be an option for characters when involved in siege adventures.
