I just downloaded the Beta Rules the other day. Overall, I'm very impressed. Not sure I'll switch from 3.5, but there's definitely a number of things I'll mine for house rules. Looking over the monk class, it seems to have improved at least a little from it's underpowered 3.5 version. One change, however, has not been made that really needs to be.
Why in the world is Quivering Palm still a once per week ability? Yes, it's a save-or-die, but Wizards can use those many times per day at the same level, and at higher save DCs, too. Once a monk uses this ability, the likelihood is that he won't be able to use it again for several game sessions afterwards. At that point, he might as well not have anything at that level. I say it needs to be made a once-a-day, at least. And given the level that it comes at, and that it targets the Fortitude save (quite high for most monsters at that level), it might even need a bit of a DC boost.

the legendary quivering palm has always been more of parlor trick than a useful combat ability.
At best, its a short term curse, than anything else.
I would suggest replacing it with dim mak.
Once per day the monk can make a flurry of blows attack, by passing all non natural armor and magical bonuses of a target, and do full (maximum) critical hit damage with every blow.
OOOoooo the dim mak!
