[Prestige] - Shadowdancers need love, too

Prestige Classes

The shadowdancer seems like a pretty sad class. It has its best ability at level 1 (although Hide in Plain Sight is less good now that you can't hide while attacking) and some decent abilities at level 2 and then it seems to go downhill pretty rapidly from there.

The worst is the Shadow Illusion ability. You might as well give him a t-shirt that reads: "I took three feats as prerequisites, and all I got is the ability to cast a 1st level spell once per day."

How about some better shadow-related abilities? Something like a cloaker's Shadow Shift ability would be pretty cool.

Well now that I opened this thread I'm not quite as dissappointed that I went ahead and posted mine anyway lol. I laid out some stuff in greater detail over there, but I suppose it doesn't particularily matter where we discuss them, so long as we get shadow dancers into a playable class. (which, in 3.5, they weren't, and everybody else got better in the transition)

To avoid starting two identical threads right at the start, I am going to lock this one and refer discussions to the other. Please repost to that one if you are so inclined.

The other thread is here.
