I played my fourth and fifth modules as a member of the Pathfinder Society today, and in both games players mentioned how they missed action points. One was to stave off a stabilization check while dying, and the others were for adding +1d6 to a roll that was really important to the character.
Is there any chance they may be adopted for the Society or the RPG? Even having a single action point per session would be wonderful!

In a sense you can get better than the 'one action point per session' by buying and wearing a faction tshirt at your games. It entitles you to one free reroll per scenario.
I don't like adding in action points because it's just one more thing that needs to be recorded and kept track of between scenarios (if you go by a per-level system instead of a per-scenario system). I wouldn't worry too much, once we switch to PFRPG the characters will be getting a much needed power boost.

The t-shirts are an interesting idea, and certainly worth considering should I find myself in possession of a decent chunk of disposable cash. In the meantime - action points, please! :)
I would be intrigued to see how the crew at Paizo would handle them. I prefer both Eberron and 4e's take on action points to the ones in the SRD, but they're obviously both closed content. The advantage to 4e's action points is that there's no hemming and hawing about using one after the dice have been rolled. Perhaps a simple +2 if you declare the use of an action point before you make the roll. It'd just be nice to be able to say "this roll is important to me".

I <3 Action Points!

Neither of these results is really what I like about Action Points. I like the idea of APs as the character really struggling towards, as blargney said, a goal that is important to them that takes sacrifice to achieve.
For the same reasons, I wouldn't be as strong a supporter of APs per scenario or before the roll. I like the mental picture of a hero struggling to succeed, realizing he's not quite there, and then pulling closer in a final burst.

Action Points always ruined the flow of the game for me. Perhaps created an imbalance is a better description. Take a table situation - everyone is focused on the PCs turn in combat, something doesn't go right because of a low die roll, the DM has a great roleplay situation to describe from the result, but then the failed die roll is resolved by rolling an extra d6. Talk about popping a balloon and bringing down the fun factor. I've seen this situation many times. I hope action points don't end up in PRPG. If a DM wants to add it as a house rule there's no stopping him/her from doing so. But don't push this onto others who are not a fan. If the publishers choose to include it I hope it comes in the form of a sidebar with "Variant Rule" as the heading.

Meh. I won't be allowing any dumb rerolls even if one wears a t-shirt bought from Paizo.
Also action points aren't particularly necessary, so no.

The t-shirts remind of the main complaints against many MMORPGs, that out-of-game money buys in-game advantages.
Then again, the t-shirts remind me all-too-much of the various cheats available for Munchkin, which includes t-shirts as well.
Munchkin, while a fun game, is a parody of what I, at least, really want in an RPG.

Action Points: no.
Wear Your Faction T-Shirt Get One Free Re-Roll Before Result is Determined per Scenario Session: yes.
The former can't be codified in a way that makes everyone happy and, honestly, it's not an aspect of the game that I think fits in our org play environment.
The latter helps me pay contributors, artists, and cartographers, helps promote PFS with people wearing their faction colors at events, stores, and cons, and gives folks one opportunity per session to change the outcome of a roll before the result is determined. It will also be further codified in v1.2 and will be part of the official rules of PFS. I would hope that all GMs would follow the official rules when playing official sessions.
