As-is, the fighter's a bit meh, even with the Pathfinder changes. Extra combat feats just aren't that cool; of boy, I deal +2 damage. However, if there were a slew of high-prereq tactical feats, not only would fighters have cool options in combat, but they would be able to pull off all sorts of things that no one else could (they could at least get a couple of these tactical feats, whereas everone else would have to settle with one).
Thoughts?

Oh, definitely.
Trouble is, this could fill a whole book. So how would you find a medium?
Fighters, unlike other classes, have the ability to take feat chains, and more of them. Or, sets of feats related to more than one style of fighting.
We already have some of that, with things like Overhand Chop and so forth. Could you give some examples of what you'd like to see?
Now, some finesse/rapier/dilettante style feats, a rogue might want to share as well, though at a penalty, since those style of feats would definitely fit a rogue's "theme." However, they're not fighters. (Maybe they qualify for them at BAB-3 or 1/2 BAB, which with their slower BAB advancement, will definitely place them behind--this also lets the material stretch a little further, while leaving the fighter clearly ahead).
