I've been a bit slow with drawing lately.. I'd like to try taking on another request or two.
what do you think of:
Natalia Crow from Korvosa
A pretty female Chelexian human with short straigt hair to the shoulders, wearing leather pants and coat with oils spots, she haves all kind of tools inside her clothes' pockets and fixed to her tool belt, googles over her forehead, but the left lens is completely blackened, the reason is that her left eye is milky white and the area surrounding it is scarred as if with acid.
She carries a switchblade with which she plays nervously and a repeating crossbow fixed to her belt.

Ok flash_cxxi. It took almost forever (well, like a month and a half), but I finally finished your dude. Presenting for your pleasure
I tried to follow all the description I could, but the main focus for me here was the play between the spell in the background and him casting it at you. That was fun. his legs and boots turned out a bit more cartoony then I'd hoped, and his head is way too big and oddly shaped, but I hope you like it anyhow. More description can be found on the picture's page.
And that marks the last commission I had on the dock. So once again, if you specifically want me to do something for you, then either post it here or message me on dA. I seem to be a lot more creative with items and spells, but it's up to you. Otherwise I'm gonna focus on my own stuff for a little while and maybe grab something from here if it comes up. (And if you've been waiting a while and are tired of it, just ask. I'm not going to go through digging the archive and find it, but I don't mind drawing it if you message me and ask.)

Great character description. Tasty.

I'll take her.

If someone has the time could you draw my dwarf character for a pbp I'm in?
Much thanks!
Flint Earthbrother.
I did a sketch of him with only the warhammer and hide shirt, to keep it simple. I also kept the color simple this time. I think what happened on the last dwarf-in-color I did was that I just kept layering colors on top of each other to the point of chaotic clashing. Chaotic Clashing may work for an alignment, but doesn't work so well in the illustration area.
Let me know what you think of it, DB3 (and anyone else with constructive criticism as well).

Looks good. The simpler colors definitely work better. The only thing I would like to see more of is shadow and shading throughout. Not like a whole ton where it gets crazy, but enough to keep things more defined and give it a sense of being three dimensional. There seems to be a good sense of movement to the picture which I like since it's something I really struggle with. So those are my thoughts. Hope they're at least a little helpful.

Mr Baron wrote:This one caught my attention - I'd like to give this one a shot, if that's ok? I need the practice with plate armour, and he sounds cool (Chaos is awesome :D ).
2. Villian
A dark humanoid, that calls himself The Wolf King. With spikey armour (warhammer chaos knight), and a great horned helment, this blackguard has sold his soul to darker powers. His mount is a large nightmare. Armed with morning star, he beats opponents into submission.
Sure! Thanks!

Ok, looking back through the threads, I realized there's still a whole lot of commissions to be done and it would be selfish of me to not try and get some done. I'm thinking I'm gonna take a stab at KC's cat (I've been looking for an opportunity to branch into animals) and Mr. Baron's first one there (Mishi took number 2, so I figured it'd be best to get both done instead of only half the request).
If you'd like KC, I could also take a shot at your kobold from way back on page 18, but I've never done lizards before, and the few I've tried weren't that good. If you're ok with that possibility though, I can try.

Yes, I think you are right about that. I can do shading. I think I've just been kinda lazy. Thanks for the tip.

A challenge good people!
I am playing Kyra in Jason's Monday night playtest game, and I recently noticed this: she's ALWAYS wrapped in her robes and turban-y helm, so you pretty much only see a little bit of her face. What does she actually look like? I know she's going to have the Middle-Eastern/Persian look. But does she have short cropped hair? Long black hair bound or clasped in back? What if she didn't have the robes? What would her armor look like? (My Kyra has leather armor).
I know what she looks like in MY mind's eye...what about YOURS?
Any takers? I welcome as many as who would like to try!
(And yes, I see a Kyra-ish figure in "Takin' It Easy"...sort of.)

I'll try and have her done as you ask for the Valentine's drawing, is that ok? :D

Ok KC, here's attempt one. I drew it up quick, then scanned and edit it before realizing I left out the tail. Read the comments further. I only put it up now so that if there's anything you don't like about it I can change it now. i hope to put on a tail soon, unless you work with my "lost in battle" story. It's also my first animal, so any criticism you have is greatly appreciated. Fur is really hard, but I gave it my best "midnight in the morning" attempt. Hope you're ok with it.

This will change the curse of so many things I'm doing right now, I'll write something about this tonight...
Have you considered becoming an art teacher? I don't know how things work where you are, but here we have a program called Alternative Route to Liscenceure. It allows you to teach while working toward getting your credentials.

Well, it looks pretty good, but I'd prefer that he not be standing on his hind legs. Perhaps reading a book or something? It just doesn't really fit his character.
And when I said 'like a monocle' I meant about the string. The actual eyepiece should look a bit more mechanical, and be rectangular.Otherwise, good. :)

Your wish is my command oh great Cleaver of Kobolds. How about the fur though. I wasn't exactly sure how that'd look to others. I know it's fur, but I want to know your opinion, not having seen the source cat. I should have another take done in a day or 2.

Sorry about this. Good luck.
One of the very bright spots in Motown and MI these days are the new businesses cropping up to support the newborn film industry here. They are looking digital artists, as is the company I work for. The downside is that southeast MI is a really depressed area.

You'd be depressed too if you were looking at all this snow ;) Seriously, there's been a lot of companies closing their doors or laying off workers around here. We've been in a recession for ages and were somewhat surprised at all the freaking out about it when the rest of the country caught up. It seemed a lot like last year's news. And I wasn't even aware that Detroit had a film industry. You learn something new every day.

Snow and it's BUTT COLD today!
Check out freep.com about the film industry start ups. One small bright spot for now.
Yep. Now that the rest of the country is feeling the pinch the recession is a priority. But if we can eeek out some help I'll take it.

Thank you, Jack. Heard about the job loss. I am very sorry. We have also been lay-offs. I had to take 200 a week pay-cut and 1 on and 1 off. If things don't get better I will be unemployed as well.
