What he said. And remember that a lot of us here are total amateurs, so don't feel like you have to live up to some high standard of perfection. The feedback you get here is incredibly helpful for learning how to draw better.

I have a character concept that I would love to see drawn if someone is willing to give it a go....
I am creating a character tonight for a game and I am thinking of a male sword and boarder with a twist. Kinda oriental in appearance, scar running down the right side of his forehead ending at the eye, long braided ponytail, tall, thin and powerfully built, wearing crimson studded leather armor, wielding a nine-ring chinese broadsword in one hand and a round wooden heavy shield, covered in wicker with a central 6"spike and several smaller spikes arranged in a circle about halfway from the central spike to the shield's edge. Baggy crimson pants with bindings at the calves and split-toe leather boots like ninja use.
I haven't done the research yet on a name but I am working on that.

Apparently Xmas time got us all too busy and the thread has slowed down a bit... Hopefully I'll finally post Kristine's on friday and start up on The Halfling and a private commission.

Next year I think I'll start taking on different type of commissions to speed up the proccess, take on more commisions, and practice lots more.

I know it did for me. I'm sketching out the monsters for the bestiary I'm making for my son, plus handstitching ornaments for presents, I have at least a couple pieces of jewelry to make - also for presents, plus all the cookies, fudge, julbread, gingerbread, and plum pudding that all of my friends and family are already clamoring for. Also I'm supposed to help my son make salt dough ornaments that he can give out as presents. (Note to self: buy ribbon and drawing paper. And bells.) And all of that is on top of gaming, writer's group, volunteering at my son's school two to three times a week, and of course general mommy stuff. By my calculations I should be able to sleep sometime in January. In the meantime, I think it's time for another pot of tea. You know, to keep me awake.
Side note: Madgael, I am still working on your commissions, but I think I am going to need to wait to do the next one until after new years. After that I should be able to get one done per week until I'm through. I know you said that you weren't in any special hurry on those, but I thought I'd let you know what timetable I'm looking at.

Ok Montalve and anyone else interested, Montalve's Magical Mystical Musical Machine of Much Merry Madness is up. Unfortunately there's a letter limit to the titleling on dA, so I had to shorten it. I hope you like it. An I hope you don't mind that I took a couple of liberties with the design. And if you want I can design a key for that keyhole, but I prefer to let your players wonder.

so when are you guys accepting new Commissions?
It depends. If you want Hugo specigically, then you need to wait. he just took on a handful of commissions. If you mean people in general and don't care who, then just post your character and someone will take it if they want to draw it. I suppose you could ask someone specifically, like myself, if you like their art.
