Took a small viper as his familiar for his present! Now, why Sehkola didn't think back in the inn that the snake there was a familiar, I don't know ...

Most familiars lose their familiar status when their owner dies. Least from what I remember at the moment.

Right; this is a new one (my "present"). I was only working it in as if Sehkola had "always had one" (sort of a nod to OOTS). I was just making a tongue-in-cheek comment about how since Sehkola had always had the viper, why he didn't realize or think maybe the one we killed in the inn might have been someone's as well...

Sehkola you managed to hear two things. For one you realize that the sounds of battle carry underground and more goblins are coming.
For the other you realize it might have been a good idea to check the ceiling....

Okay Lashara hit but the goblin's still up.

Lashara and Sehkola you both notice something that you have truely never seen before...

It falls from the ceiling and takes a swipe at Elijah and Gavrin.
Elijah will a 15 hit you?

Sorry; I'm sure you're right and I wasn't criticizing or anything. Just trying to explain why I got a tad confused, is all. No harm, no foul; and Sehkola certainly won't make the same mistake twice. The beauty of PBP is there's plenty of opportunity to clarify, but the downside is you can miss or forget things between posts. Besides, Sehkola has a Wisdom of 8, so it's definitely not beyond the realm of possibility that he's just oblivious to everything that goes on around him!! :-)

A 15 won't right now becuase of my smite evil giving a deflection bonus (current AC = 18 (10 + 5 breastplate + 3 Deflection bonus equal to Cha Mod), I don't have any dex bonus so my flat footed is the same as my normal AC. Beyond that "those" does specify which of those. It's all cleared up right now though. I know where DB3 got the idea to drop things on people though... ;D

I tumble roll away from the creature grabbing the dropped dogslicer as I roll ::acrobatics d20+6=14:: dang I think I just took an AoO my AC is 15 so he missed me, but now he gets another attack now that I'm 10 ft away from it I throw my dogslicer ::d20+3=20:: ::damage d6+2=6:: What in the nine hells is this thing.

I just fought kythons from the bovd in my last campaign which look surprisingly like the alien, so this is very familiar to me

So 10ft reach and combat reflexes huh? this thing is nasty what did it hit me with, claw or tail?

Also without a grid this gets confusing, i realized that I had meant to move my character 10ft which is half his move action with that tumble. Since he doesn't occupy the same square as the alien that would have put him 15ft away not 10, which also would've been a range increment for the dogslicer, oh well. I'll try to better visualize it from now on.

How did Lashara get the third attack? wasn't it the monsters turn? or did she kill it with the fire bolt? can we hold declaring our actions till our initiatives are up I understand not wanting people to wait but this is getting really confusing, because if it was the scimitar attack that killed it, then that was her third action and shouldn't have happened until after the monster and all the rest of us had gone, unless that bolt was a swift action or something in which case I'll shut up.

There are two tunnel branching off to the sides and the one your in. That makes tree possible places for the goblins to arrive from.

Well darn it, you know in preparation for my turn I had rolled an acrobatics check to jump and kick it in the head, I had a 21 on the acrobatics, a 20 to hit and a 6 on damage, and that was a really cool visual cause the dice sided with me :( oh well Gavrin examines the dead creature what is it, anything noteworthy about its body (what was causing those reflex saves) ::Heal check d20+6=8::

Then I will fish the 2 flasks of oil out of my bag and hold them out to the group. Okay someone take one flask each and coat the floor with the oil, lets set us a crude goblin trap, anyone else got some oil or are we just going to funnel them to the one tunnel. Lashara when some goblins stand on the oil go ahead and hit it with your fire bolt be ready to do it as soon as some goblins are standing over it ready an action. The rest of us will hold position and make sure that as many goblins are standing over it as possible when you fire it.

"An excellant plan! I also have a spell which will help to disable several of the humanoids at once." Sehkola will ready an action to cast color spray at the goblins when they emerge from a tunnel (or at the largest group, if they come from more than one ...)

Gavrin, during battle you noticed that when the creture was slashed by Kora's dagger, it's blood sprayed out.

Lashara you failed your save and take 3 points of acid damage.
