female half-elf Rogue 3

Joyelle picks up the crossbow, loads the clip and takes a shot at the nearest undead.

Don't have the stats for the crossbow. I know they're around here somewhere, but since it's not my usual weapon, I don't have it written down anywhere.

1d20+4=24
Are undead subject to critical hits? If so, confirmation roll:
1d20+4=18

I have no idea what the damage is, so if you can please roll that for me? Thanks.

"Somebody watch the living one," she calls out as she catches him out of the corner of her eye.

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth decides to slow it down a bit; his flurries aren't as effective as he'd like.

unarmed strike (1d20+6=14) Seeker, how many action points do I have left? Your alias says 6, but I know I've used some. If I have 2 or more, I'll use another here (otherwise no).

action point (1d6=4) total attack of 18 damage (1d6+3=4) holy cow, IC hates me tonight!!!

Garroth yells over, "Triage! We need another energy channel! Try to get Haedric and the rot-bag he's fighting in it; we can't let him fall!!"

Male Human Wizard 4 (Evoker)

If I step away from where the controls are, will the ship suddenly fall, or what? Assuming it won't...

Haedric stumbles back from the sword wound, and glowers at the undead. "So that's how you want to play it? Well then, lets fight.", he says as a ethereal suit of armor briefly appears around him and he draws his combat knife.

5-foot step straight to the right, casting Mage Armor and drawing my dagger.

Male personality Warforged (Scout) Ranger 1/Cleric 2

Ignoring the peril he is in himself, Triage heeds Garroth's call, moving level with the approaching undead he unleashes another burst of divine energy.

"Genitus abominor! Tergum ut abyssus vobis!" His voice sounds a little ... ragged.

Spoiler:
Energy Burst = 2d6=4 (crap!)

Flee for 1d4=1 (double crap!)

and action points won't help :(

Female Kobold Artificer 2/Druid 2

Synatria sighs, having finally gotten ahold of herself. "I'm sorry, Anne." She quickly heals herself.
4 hp cured by Cure Light Wounds.

Male Changeling Soulknife 4th

Jax noticed the living one as quick as Joyelle had, and there he sprung into action. Rushing headlong after the man, he focused his psychic energy and delivered a solid blow from his mental hammer

1d20+6=24

1d8+3=11

psychic strike damage 1d8=5

GM

Garroth slams into his foe who seems unable to land a blow with his weapon butt as Jax charges across the ship caving in his opponents head with one blow, but even as the man falls a transformation seems to over take him. Joyelle puts a bolt into one of the undead who screams as if burned but then he opens fire on her hitting her with 2 bolts 15 hp Haedric ready s himself and his magic seems to deflect the undead blase, but the ship seems to lurch slightly to the left as he steps away from the wheel. Triage sends out another healing burst as v heals her own wounds

Ok folks next round, Gorrath you should have 2 ap now, will updated my profile with HP and such

And the map

Male Changeling Soulknife 4th

Seemingly throwing caution to the wind, Jaxon springs skillfully past the now undead foe at his feet acrobatics 1d20+8=21 and delivers a lightning quick set of hammer blows to the undead threatening Haedric.

1d20+6=24

1d8+3=7

Spent an action point for an extra attack
1d20+6=24

1d8+3=8

Shouting out amidst the chaos, His voice rings clear." Keep us in the air soldier!"

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth keeps pressing his advantage, landing (I think) a roundhouse kick to the Karrnathi's head.

unarmed strike (1d20+6=19) damage (1d6+3=6)

female half-elf Rogue 3

Joyelle winces as one of the bolts buries itself in her leg and the other grazes her shoulder, much too near the site of an older scar.
"Not this time," she growls, taking aim at the undead once again.

These things normally get two shots in a round, yes? I'm going to spend an action point to give her a third attack as well.
1d20+4=6
1d20+4=8
Invisible Castle hates me today :(
1d20+4=13
See? It hates me :(

Joyelle tries valiantly to give as good as she got, but the wound to her shoulder was throwing off her aim.

Male personality Warforged (Scout) Ranger 1/Cleric 2

Triage draws his longsword, sweeping it in an upward arc, attempting to cut down the zombie nearest him.

1d20+5=13 1d8+3=9

spending an action point for an additional attack:

1d20+5=9 (!) 1d8+3=9

know any other free dice-rolling sites? :P

Frustrated, Triage takes a 5-foot step, attempting to prevent the second undead abomination from attacking his comrades.

GM

Anyone that has not posted this round, now is the time to do so. will be moving this forward tonight

Male Human Wizard 4 (Evoker)

Realizing he can't risk burning up the wheel, Haedric readies himself to parry any upcoming blows.

Full Defense

GM

Jax tumbles over to Haedric slamming the zombie twice to little effect, While Garoth pushes his foes nose into his brain, he tumbles over the rail as he dies. Joyelle and Synatria blast away with crossbows unable to hurt the undead approaching. Triage is unable to find off his foes has it runs him though Your at -6 now. Joyelle barely doges the zombies return fire as Haedric is able to dodge his foe as well. The man Jax kill raises to his feet however digging though his pouch for something.

Your map , new round

Hang on, wasn't I still in the hold?

female half-elf Rogue 3

Joyelle drops the crossbow, pulls out a potion of cure light, and runs/tumbles over to Triage.
Acrobatics check to avoid AoO: 1d20+8=26
Can I spend an action point to give him the potion this round? Because I will if I can.

No you ran out because you opened the crate, releasing a cloud of necrotic energy. Unless, of course, you'd rather die a painful death.

Don't worry, I healed 4 points, I'm okay now.

GM

Well thats been a few rounds back, I had you heal yourself, then you healed yourself , then 2 rounds you got healing from triage's bust. Your at 18 HP, better off then everyone but Jax and Gorrath really

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth moves up and strikes at the undead directly in front of himself, but trips over a loose floor board as he attacks ...

unarmed strike (1d20+6=10)

Male Changeling Soulknife 4th

Hey, making sure everyone knows i'm still alive. Sorry about the lack of posting Guys, real hectic week. This will likely be the last post I'll be able to post this weekend as well as I have some plans away from internet access this weekend. I should get back into the rhythm of things next week. Thanks for all of the patience guys.If this moves much before i have a chance to post, feel free to act for me Seeker-MM

Male Human Monk 4

Bump. Are we waiting on anyone? I think everyone's posted an action, except Jax, and he said to DMPC him for a few ...

GM

Sorry busy weekend, will get updated 2 folks have not posted actions but I'll NPC them

GM

Joyelle avoids attacks as she runs to the downed warforged and pours the potion into him, it seems to have little effect however. Garroth fails to land his attack as Jax defends Headric. Synatria hits one of the zombies twice, and the luck of the gods are with you as all fail to hit anyone on the team.

Ok new round triage is at -4, CLW only do half, he should have a light repair on him however. Yall got lucky I rolled poorly that round.

female half-elf Rogue 3

Joyelle grabs the shortsword off of Triage, figuring that her rapier would be downright useless against undead, and attacks the nearest one.
1d20+3=13
If I got really lucky and they have super low AC: 1d6+1=6 damage

Male Human Monk 4

Garroth presses his attack on the undead thing ...

unarmed strike (1d20+6=17) damage (1d6+3=6)

Male Changeling Soulknife 4th

Jax swings wildly in an attempt to defend Haedric

1d20+6=13

IC is mad at me for stayin gone so long.*sigh*

female half-elf Rogue 3

Bump. It was straying too close to getting archived.:)

GM

Jax, garroth and joyelle all fail to slow their attackers. Jax is slashed across his chest defending10hp Headik who steps back and throws flames at the attacking zombie melting off much skin as Garroth slams into his foe as he draws he sword. Synatria firs unsuccessfully at the undead walking toward her as she evades his attacks

Ok new round, I went for Synatria who's crossbow now has an empty clip, Garroth got an AoO , which I made he did max damage :) I also took a step back and had Haedik use energy ray which I also rolled max damage :) Just for your info Joyelle the short sword is just as effective(or not as the case may be) as your rapier

female half-elf Rogue 3

Darn. I was hoping that slashing would help. Okay, new plan. :/

GM

Short swords are Piercing weapons :) It's the default type is a roman style short sword, although some makes are slashing, must are thrusting weapons like over large daggers really

female half-elf Rogue 3
Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

I had no way of knowing that since it's listed in the book as a P/S weapon same as a dagger. Had I known that I would never have bothered to pick up the short sword when there was a long sword right there. (Yes, I was familiar with the historical makes of the gladius and other short swords, just that I was going by how it was listed in the rules.)

GM

What book is it listed that way in? in my 3.5 PHB and my beta it is listed only as piercing. But ya know really it should be usable for slashing, but so should the rapier as it's not really a foil but a cut and thrust sword

Well, turns out you were quite right. I had misread the entry. For some reason the dagger is listed as both, but the short sword is only piercing. My bad. And yes, the rules on swords get a little...wonky. Since it doesn't effect my last swing (having missed wildly) can I say that I picked up the longsword instead? Since my character is less of an airhead than her player can be at times. *sigh*

GM

what longsword?, If I have over looked some somewhere sure

female half-elf Rogue 3
Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

Triage had a longsword and a shortsword. He dropped his longsword right next to him when he fell unconscious.

GM

Then by all means you had the longsword.

female half-elf Rogue 3
Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

Thanks :)

GM

Your welcome, any actions this round?

female half-elf Rogue 3

Joyelle swings the unfamiliar weapon wildly, hoping to actually do some damage for a change. Oh how she hated the undead. Not only were they difficult to kill, but they brought back too many painful memories.
1d20-1=16
Damage=8

Invisible Castle has a strange sense of humor. I use something I'm supposed to be good with and I can't get above a ten, but pick up a weapon I don't have proficiency with...*shrug* :)

Male Human Wizard 4 (Evoker)

Sorry I haven't posted here for so long. I honestly have no excuse.

Haedric sends another fiery ray at the undead standing over the controls.

He suceeds in burning the Karrnathi airship.

Male Human Monk 4

EDIT: sorry; missed where Keeper went for Synatria and we went on to the next round.

Wanting to finish this, Garroth lays into the undead Karrnathi scum with renewed vigor. Abandoning his calm strikes, he focuses his rage and unleashes a flurry of nasty blows.

flurry of blows (1d20+4=23, 1d20+4=24) damage (1d6+3=5, 1d6+3=9) crit confirm (1d20+4=7) nice change of pace for IC ... I've had three rolls on it tonight and they've been 20, 19, and 20!

paging Synatria ...

Don't you still need to go this round too?

GM

Sorry guys had to reformat my hardive this weekend so have fell behind updating. Will update in the morning

GM

Anyone who has not went this round last chance

GM

Joyelle stabs at the undead advancing on her but is unable to price it's armor. Haedric flames the zombie on he control burning away most of it's face as Jax slams hims hammer into it ripping it's head from the body and it slumps upon the controls.Synatria scrambles away from the advancing undead and reloads. One zombie steps across the disabled warforged to claim more of Joyelle's blood with his blade3hp Mean while the one Synatria scrambled from climbs the forward deck to the deck bow, as Garroth fends off blows from s snarling zombie 'You shall serve Karrnaith in death!

New round folks, sorry for the delay

Your map

female half-elf Rogue 3

Is there anything near me that I can use as an improvised weapon? Something that does bashing damage I hope...

GM

Well bashing does not help but slashing does. Thats why Garroth is haveing a hard time, he is hitting good but not all the damage gets though, same with Jax.

Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

Oh, okay. I misunderstood. Guess I just didn't roll a high enough to-hit with the longsword then. Darn. With the -4 for non-proficiency I can't get much higher. Oh well.
