Tallis drinks a CLW and activates dodge.
Karr's well aimed fist threatens to stun Tallis.
Gunnom attempts to spin the fulcrum so as to get the beam lined up with the deck but fails. The two copper bowls tumble into the water.
Ilil reaches for them but they are too far out for her to reach.
Jakie gets himself out of the water and misses his kick at Drunk Monk.
Drunk Monk finally hits Jakie.

I don't have time to put up a new map but there are only a few changes to position.

Have you seen the cool feats Dogbert's been coming up with? I think the monk is going to get a lot more fun if the combat maneuvers are seen as her birthright as some of these feats are made available.

Seen some of them. I am also designing some of my own. Ki-based technique feats.

Can TK act? I mean he failed the Fort Save to the Stunning Fist.

Right. TK, please label all your rolls and invisible castle doesn't hate you. It's as cold, impersonal, and logical as a psychic robot.

TK is stunned until just before KtC's next turn:

Spoiler:
A stunned character can’t act, loses any
Dexterity bonus to AC, and takes a –2 penalty to AC. You
may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every four
levels you have attained (but see Special), and no more than
once per round. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal
creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits
cannot be stunned.

Action on My Turn

Spoiler:
Karr renew his assault on TK. Karr executes a "dragon-tiger" combo. He launches a left punch at TK then follows it up with a right turning back kick.

Flurry of Blows (1d20+2=9, 1d6+3=6, 1d20+2=19, 1d6+3=7)

Female Half-orc Monk 3

Ah, well, what is Gunnom able to do?

Seeing that that did not go that well she speaks: "Sorry." while looking down to Ilil. The half-orc then remembers the goo still sticking all over her body. "Ewww... sticky. You think han'som' mind?" That in turn reminded her of the ongoing fight in the restaurant. Turning she looks out for any combatant near her, but finds no one.

That's all for this round.
@ Ilil: remember the +1 morale bonus on Attack rolls! lasts till round 11.

Male Halfling Monk 3

"Oof," I say as the monk in the water manages to land a blow.

Acrobatics: (1d20+12=26)

Somersaulting out of his reach. I reach to my belt and quaff a quick potion to lessen some of the pain.

Cure Light Wounds: (1d8+1=8)

"Ooo, that hits the spot. Now Mr. Stinky Breath, come up here and try that again."

Bouncing lightly on my toes, I raise my fists, ready to fight.

Male Human Monk 3

Tallis crumples under Karr's assault.

At either 0 or -6 hp, depending on whether stunned counts as helpless. Either way, I'm out for the round.

Ilil will jump into the koi pond and begin fishing around for the brass knuckles.

If any rolls are required I don't have access to IC right now, so could Tarren roll for me?

Lil' Jakie wrote:

Where do you end up?

Hrrmmm... the boards ate my original post where I know for a fact I had recorded that little detail. (h2)

Drunk Monk is up, right?

Male Human Monk/3

"No!!! Tally!! My poor friend! I will avenge you!"

You better watch out Karr!

Flurry of Blows:

1d20+4=6
1d20+4=20

1d6+4=8 (miss)
1d6+4=8

8 damage

For the DM

Spoiler:
Drunk Monk attacked from the pool? If yes, then does he not receive a penalty for fighting on lower ground?

Karr the Choleric wrote:

Karr:

Spoiler:

Have you seen that in PRPG? I can only see 'higher ground' modifiers for the attacker, not defender. I've been looking for it.

ROUND 3 WRAP UP
J5 Conniving Bullfrog -- Tallis Kotellos 21 (Damage taken = 12)
J4 Noisy Cricket -- Karr the Choleric 17 (Damage taken = 1)
F4 Leaping Monkey -- Gunnom 16 (5 rounds at half speed)
K2 Noisy Cricket -- Lil' Jakie 15 (Damage taken = 10)
F4 Leaping Monkey -- Ilil 10
J4 Conniving Bullfrog -- Drunk Monk 10

Tallis is stunned and can only look at Karr in shock.
Stunned would not seem to count as helpless. They have different penalties to Dex so they must be different conditions. See pages 400-401.
Karr attacks and knocks TK back hard.
TK at 0 hp can make an action, just not a strenous one, right? See pages 399-400 for this condition.
Gunnom having knocked the Brass Knuckles of Troll Smacking into the murky pond is feeling sheepish.
Jakie is back on the walkway and feeling fine.
Ilil is swimming in the pool and diving down to look for the brass knuckles.
I'll need a perception check each round. It isn't too deep, so we won't bother with the swim checks.
Drunk Monk attacks Karr.
I believe he hits but I'll wait for the rule check on higher ground.

ROUND 4
J5 Conniving Bullfrog -- Tallis Kotellos 21 (Damage taken = 19)
J4 Noisy Cricket -- Karr the Choleric 17 (Damage taken = 1 or 9???)
F4 Leaping Monkey -- Gunnom 16 (5 rounds at half speed)
H2 Noisy Cricket -- Lil' Jakie 15 (Damage taken = 2)
F4 Leaping Monkey -- Ilil 10
J4 Conniving Bullfrog -- Drunk Monk 10

Gunnom wrote:

Was that a real question or rhetorical?

Well, until someone gets in the pool with her, Ilil will continue her search:

Perception: 1d20+4=5.

"Hey, there are fish in here!"

For Tarren

Spoiler:
I believe that he did hit. He rolled a high one. BTW, is an attack of opportunity considered a strenuous activity?

Female Half-orc Monk 3
Tarren the Dungeon Master wrote:

It was rather real... Gunnom made her Reflex save for the Tanglefoot bag, but has goo all over her... How would the goo react to water?

Oooohhhh! Chemistry!

The goo is already slowing you and water slows you further so I figure this would multiply. I wouldn't expect that the goo would just wash away so easily ... at least not any easier than the round or two you have left to deal with it. The water isn't very deep and non-halfling sized characters have no fear of drowning. If you want to get in and search for the other set of Brass Knuckles on the other side, go for it. ... The water is murky. Try not to kick up any silt.

Male Halfling Monk 3

Where exactly is Ilil?

Male Human Monk 3

Tallis, holding his side, takes out another vial very carefully.

Drawing my last Cure Light Wounds. Hopefully will remain conscious long enough to drink it.

More than likely she is in E3. As for the Tanglefoot Bag, only Universal Solvent or some type of area damage can destroy the goo.

For Tarren

Spoiler:
I intend to grapple and fling TK at Drunk Monk. Is this possible in a round?

Karr the Choleric wrote:

Karr:

Spoiler:

Nope. On the second round, if you confirm your grapple check, you can use the 'throw' rule I proposed.

Karr moves from J4 to I5 and drinks his Potion of Mage Armor raising his AC to 21.

"Jakie! 'ware of the inebriated one!"

Male Halfling Monk 3

"Will do!" I yell back, but I move not to attack the drunk but to take care of the elf. (move to f2)

Attacking Ilil from higher ground: (1d20+6+2=15)

"Hiya! NOISY CRICKET!"

My foot flies over her head as she bends down to search the water.

"Did you lose your keys?" I ask good naturedly.

Female Half-orc Monk 3

Gunnom, thinking of no better plan, retrieves the potion of Divine Favor and drinks it.

+1 luck bonus to attack and damage rolls for 10 rounds

Male Human Monk/3

"You think you can get away from me?!?! I'm loud, obnoxious and drunk! You can'tget rid of me!" Drunky moves to I4 and grabs at Karr.

damn you and your mage armor potions! How am I supposed to hit you now?

"Come here, new friend! A buddy o' Jakey's is a buddy o' mine, any day!"

Drunky attempts to grab his new friend in a giant bear hug.
Grapple = 14+6=20

Drunk Monk:

Spoiler:

Why am I seeing multiple rolls on invisible castle here?

Male Human Monk/3

DM

Spoiler:
My computer connection is extremely slow, and sometimes it won't show my roll, so I have to go back and refresh a couple of times. Looking back, I would have loved to the 18...

Okay. Thanks for the explanation. I'm not sure how to solve this problem but we can't have these multiple rolls.

I'll catch this game up tonight after one of the longest days ever.

Spoiler:
Originally, I didn't want to do this, but I could send you the link of the first roll I get. I wouldn't know what I'm rolling, but someone could tell me.

Having avoided a blow from the Lil' one, Ilil continues her desperate search in the water on her turn.

Perception: 9.

Ilil continues to search the murky waters, finding nothing.
Tallis takes out a vial very, very slowly.
Karr slips by Tallis.
Jakie steps nimbly up the walkway and attempts to kick Ilil when she comes up for air.
Gunnom downs a potion.
Drunky swims over and attempts to grab Karr but fails.

ROUND 5
J5 Conniving Bullfrog -- Tallis Kotellos 21 (Damage taken = 19)
I5 Noisy Cricket -- Karr the Choleric 17 (Damage taken = 9)
F4 Leaping Monkey -- Gunnom 16 (5 rounds at half speed)
F2 Noisy Cricket -- Lil' Jakie 15 (Damage taken = 2)
E3 Leaping Monkey -- Ilil 10
I4 Conniving Bullfrog -- Drunk Monk 10

New map.

You picked such vibrant colors, I can barely see where everyone is. :) keep it though, I like it.

Male Halfling Monk 3

As Ilil ignores me, I shout out to my partner, "Hey Karr! These guys have dropped the knuckles in the water!"

Tallis is still conscious, isn't he?

Male Human Monk 3

Yes I am, I think.

Tallis takes a swig from the vial, his wounds healing over.

Cure Light Wounds1d8+1=7, 6 hp.

For Tarren

Spoiler:
TK is disabled having been reduced to Zero; hence, he cannot take a standard action, right? On the other hand, if he can take a standard action then he provokes an attack of opportunity.

In the event that Karr gets an attack op against TK, my roll:

Atk; Dmg (1d20+4=15, 1d6+3=6)

Female Half-orc Monk 3

Hearing the halfling shouting and seeing him besides Ilil Gunnom runs over to him, as fast as the goo let's her move, then covers the halfling in a flurry of blows...

Attack with MW Kama and normal Kama (1d20+5=8, 1d20+4=13)
... but not hitting him. As usual, she does not really want to hurt the handsome halfling.

Male Human Monk/3

Assuming Ilil is still fishing...

Drunky takes another grab at is good friend, "Ahh, cmon, you don't wanna dance wif me?"

Grapple

A Drunk Monk wrote:

Assuming Ilil is still fishing...

She is, unless somebody interferes.

Male Halfling Monk 3

Startled by the appearance of the half-orc, who I was hoping would be searching the water on the other side, I nevertheless nimbly avoid her blows and spin a foot into her and then follow up with a punch.

"NOISY CRICKET"

Flurry of Blows (at Gunnom): (1d20+4=21, 1d20+4=18)
Damage: (1d4=1, 1d4=2)

Rule for 0 hp:

Spoiler:

Disabled (0 Hit Points)

When your current hit points drop to exactly 0, you’re
disabled.

You gain the staggered condition and can only take a
single move or standard action each turn (but not both,
nor can you take full-round actions). You can take move
actions without further injuring yourself, but if you perform
any standard action (or any other strenuous action)
you take 1 point of damage after the completing the act.
Unless your activity increased your hit points, you are
now at –1 hit points, and you’re dying.

Healing that raises your hit points above 0 makes you
fully functional again, just as if you’d never been reduced
to 0 or fewer hit points.

You can also become disabled when recovering from
dying. In this case, it’s a step toward recovery, and you
can have fewer than 0 hit points (see Stable Characters
and Recovery).

Drinking a potion is a standard action and provokes an attack of opportunity. Karr made an attack of opportunity against TK, rendering him below 0 hp and unable to finish drinking his potion.
