Not knowing any way to help Evelyn subconsciously places her hand over her mouth and gives Robert a very worried look all the while her other hand turning white as it grips Ruth's tightly.
Suddenly Curtis lunges forward out of his chair! Dr. Jones is taken by surprise as Curtis' hands grab his throat and begins to choke him. The doctor falls backwards and hits the floor. Curtis continues to choke him all the while frothing and gibbering in tongues. Ruth screams.
"Curtis stop. What are you doing?"
He doesn't respond. The squire is standing shocked. What are Evelyn and Robert doing?"
Evelyn screams also, "Robert! Stop him!"
