No problem. I liked the symbols, they're excellent work. I can wait, since I now know I'm getting something of similar caliber. I'll check in on things tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know, and I'll also understand if you do the mercurial longsword first.

Those are fantastic. I can't wait to see the rest of your stuff.

I love seeing everyone's different styles. You are all quite talented.

Sweet! You're awesome!

Hey Mr. Shiny. Here your Holy Powder Pistol. Its really complicated to do Modern weapons look ancient, so I went to a 50%-50% modern-anntuique style (perhaps more modern than antique.

Anyway I hope you like it!

10-round Holy PowderGun

A mercurial blade made for Kessukoofah. It was quite a challenge to draw a blade that could do blunt damage or brake into smaller blades... I hope I nailed the concept as you imagine it.

Mercurial blade

I hope you like it!

Hey Lathiira. I'm 95% done with the skecth but I wanted you to see it before finishing it. I went the other way with the shoulders and covered the whole chest area. The leght is to the floor but not completely (I liked it more "adventurer-like") I can cover the shoulders and draw the full lenght of the dress completely if you prefer it that way.

Here's the Dress so you can see it. Its not in the "public" gallery yet

Please tell me your comments to finish it up today.

Seekerofshadowlight:

I've made the changes of seeker. The Sash is bigger and with more ornaments, the "thing" in the back now its fully draw, the pants are more detailed, and some other changes. I hope you downloaded the fisrt so you can compare it.

I fell this one is better, I hope you like it!

Akori Revisited

Quick question Benchak, does your character have any artist profession like music, art, ect?

I like what I've seen. You can give it a full skirt, though: when I mean a dress, I do mean with legs covered. This character of mine doesn't quite look like your "normal" adventurer (is there such a thing?). I like the design! Go ahead and cover the shoulders. Could you also remove the collar? The "wing" design is great-just shorten the "feathers" near the wrist a smidge. This isn't a worshipper of a sky god or avian god, so they don't need to look quite so functional (but WOW!). The character is a priestess of Death (not a god, but of Death itself) and needs the full sleeves (got a wand up each sleeve). Nor is there much exposed flesh when I imagine the character (she doesn't have Seoni's charms): a bit down the front of the dress, and from the neck up, and that's it.

Sorry to be so nit-picky. Your work is still phenomenal, Hugo!

Definitely an interesting take on the weapon. I am loving the removable stabilizers and shortening grip. I'm not sure if my brother will like it, but I have to say great work! Thanks a lot.

Corrected! sorry about that.

I guess I made the sword too sci-fi maybe.

There you go Lathiira

Here's the dress

I hope I did a better aproach this time. I would had loved to add some death motifs but maybe later. The "character" is 75% done so I would love to finish it adding items and the person into the dress. I'll soon opne "commissions" for female character and I would love to complete yours, if you like the idea.

I changed the "feathers" for more "ribbon-like" strips of cloth. I left the pointy ends to give a more imposing character, as she is a priest of Death.

Well, again, I hope you like it!

Now that you mention it, I guess it does look a bit Sci-Fi, but try to take into account that this was possibly the hardest job you've taken on. it's a weapon that by definition can't exist, and if it could, it's form is so abstract that it defies a set shape. honestly, I think you did the bast you could to make it seem possible. The reason I don't know if my brother will like it is because it's a bit "busy", if you know what i mean. he really favors plain, nondescript, handle and crossguard. that's it. but I was serious when I said I liked it. It is definately going to become a legendary weapon in our homebrew. I can see it becoming the envy of every lord and general who sees it.

Geez, Hugo....even if Lathiira doesn't like it, I think it is a tremendous drawing. Seriously, that would be something I'd expect to see on Paizo's item cards.

Well done. Paizo staffers need to be checking this thread out, as I see many potential artists for Pathfinder here...

Shadow Lodge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2010 Top 8

Yeah Hugo, that dress is really freaking awesome. Definitely something I could imagine seeing on an item card.

I loved the sword too, but I enjoy sci-fi in my fantasy.

Heh, just read through and viewed all the great art in this thread. Been working on my art skill also but along different lines. Mainly trying to learn acrylic and oil paints. This is an awesome thread.

I have a couple of Pathfinder female characters that I would love to see drawn up and you could choose whichever inspired you the most. I'll hold off posting anything more until you decide your ready for submissions :)

My hats off to you all.

I definitely like it.

Wait, let me rephrase that. It's still early, caffeine hasn't kicked in.

I love it.

And if you want to go ahead and add the character to the dress, I'm all for it.

Spoiler:

Morag, the Gatherer of Souls (with thanks to Anne Bishop for the name and idea)

Appearance: Morag stands 5'8" with a willowy build. She appears to be very fragile, as if a light breeze could blow her away. The Gatherer is 28 years old, though she appears a bit younger than her true age-say, early 20's. The best model for the face would be Lulu from Final Fantasy X. Unlike Lulu, Morag doesn't cover her left eye with hair. Morag's cheeks are a little higher, the face a little longer.

Eye color: grey with just a hint of blue.

Hair: long and black, runs to waist, thick, wavy, no adornments.

Visible items: Morag bears a single dagger in a sheathe on her left hip but also carries a wand tucked into a sheathe in each sleeve. Black knee-high boots (if visible at all). Morag also wears fingerless gloves with her holy symbol: an hourglass that drips green fluid. On the gloves, one hourglass seems to run up (on one hand), the other normal (the other hand). The hourglass is also visible on the holy symbol around her neck (a simple wooden disk with a black background, the hourglass outlined in white) and on the metal chain around her neck (focus for destruction spells). All told, there should be 3 necklaces: the normal holy symbol, the focus for destruction, and another amulet (natural armor). Bracers might peek out of her sleeves (armor), a simple leather belt to which the dagger is attached, and a cloak (full-body cloak, also has that ribbon motif at the ends, but not pointed).

As previously noted, Morag has a slight figure: not flat-chested, but without the figure of Seoni or Lulu.(Nothing wrong with them at all, they're favorites of mine: just didn't make a voluptuous woman for this character.)

Other notes: While Morag is a servant of Death, she's actually neutral good. She's scary to look at, knows it, and tries to tone it down. So there aren't any "traditional" death symbols on the dress and I mentioned where her holy symbol can be found. There's an air of sadness to her; she gave up her life to serve Death.
Over on deviantart there's a woman named Melanie Masuth (goes by *Vampirella87). One of the models she uses for her work is built very much like Morag. Melanie Masuth's page
Morag also has a pale complexion: she doesn't tan at all, nor burn (most of the time).

Edit under the tag for clarity.

And thanks again for your wonderful work. I wish I had a tenth of your talents.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Lathirra, I'm glad you liked *caffeine sho* loved it! :)

Underling, Azim is in a 40% stage, the pose is defined and prett ymuch 70% of the character is in a advanced sketch part. I must say I LOVE THIS ONE! I'm a Brom (dark sun atist) fan and with your character I gut to draw a sun-baked, all muscled, half-naked guy!.

Regarding the new line of work:
I starting thes new "Item section" And I'm starting to warm up, the dress was quite a challenge since it was almost a full character; the sword was a greater creativity challenge since I had no idea how to draw one of those; and MrShiny's Sarajuana was a really fun "commision" to do since I don't get to draw many fantasy powderguns ever. Now I hope that Seeker notices the revision on his Akori and let me knw what he thinks ;)

I eagerly await word of this with baited breath. Whatever baited breath is, at any rate. If I wasn't explicit enough in my last post, I'll be so now: sign me up for a character. (Should be obvious, considering what's under the spoiler).

(Fill in the blank with much begging and pleading.)

repost from page 1. If one of you talented people would love to draw my PC here is a description, much thanks and appreciation.

Introducing Nakakuro Sachiko

Sachiko is a new comer to Carrion Hill. She is employed by Madame Silk at the House of the Blossoming Lotus. Madam Silk has an agreement with Sachiko to "earn" her freedom from the brothel. Sachiko wears an imaculate lavender kimono with cherry blossoms on it, her hair is stark white a rarity in Tian Xia; her hair is tied up with seven intricate hair pins each depicting a different character carved into their design. Her skin is porcelin and smooth. Her eyes are almond shaped and the colour of deep mahogany. She seems quiet and distant and when watched she can be seen talking to herself in hushed tones. On occasions when stressed, Sachiko has been know to fly into a terrible rage.

STR 18(+4)22(+6) DEX 14(+2) CON 12(+1)16 (+3) INT 8(-1) WIS 10(+0) CHA 14(+2)

Stats after her str and con are when she is in a rage. She is possessed by her grandfather's spirt whom is infected by a demon. Sachiko is harbouring her grandfather's spirit so the demon can not claim it so easily. At level 2 she will become a sorcerer with the abyssal blood line and gain claws that sprout from her fingernails. She is beauty and fury personified, a mix of innocnece and demonic.

Her two items are one of her hairpins that she uses as a dart and the other long fingernails surrounded by eldritch energy, her eyes gleeming and her grandfather's demonic spirit rises behind her in a mist....
Again please do what you desire to do, I hope this sparks your imagination as she has mine. cheers!

Okay so I have had no luck with image searches and I suck at drawing, so I am going to ask whomever is interested in this board. My character is a Half-Orc Paladin. He is muscular in build wears banded mail (will eventually be plate so if you want to draw him in plate mail feel free) wielding a masterwork dwarven heavy pick and his shield bears the image of a Lamasu in flight. He wears a spellbook on his belt that is actually a journal. If someone would be willing to draw that please say so, I'll take whomever will draw it, my preference is for realistic drawings over cartoony, but like I said I will happily accept any takers so feel free to use whatever style you prefer.

Okay, it's up. I went with the banded mail and gave it a Roman Legionary look and kept the Lammasu simple as I had a little trouble fitting it properly on the shield.

I had to make a reeeeally big effort not to take the commission....I loved the description and I was already picturing the character in my head... But I have to finish the first commissions before taking any others. So, to my great regret I dah to let it go... Yet I'm really glad you find somebody to draw it very soon! Out of curiosity Hugo, what commissions do you have left at this point? Seems like you've gotten busy here lately, but then again, there are only so many talented artists around here and plenty more of us who aren't . . .
