what about Iomedae :D
i would love to see her in a mini :D (favorite goddess... she rocks :)

I could do an Iomedae. I played a halfling cleric/rogue of Iomedae in my roommate's Pathfinder game about six months back. She could charm the sin off of a devil. And then slay him with it. :)

I know they did a preview on the Blogs, so I'll look for the image and see what I can whip up. I might take some "liberties" with the art, unless something in the Gods & Magic book precludes her from looking more like the god of paladins and less like the head of an adventuring band. She needs some flourish. :)

Funny enough, she kinda looks like the human cleric of Sarenrae from that same game. They have the same haircut, at least. :)

On the god front, I'd been thinking on doing some art for the Elven gods from Pathfinder Companion. Also, I've got a scan of a certain inbred giant race that needs a little polish and color; once it's done, I'll put up some images.

Here is Paizo's art of Iomedae, and yes definitively she is portrayed as good, courageos and always wanting to help people (i got the book, i really needed it in my bloodstream :P

actually i am playing a Iomedae's cleric, i based her in the hellgate's female paladine... NTFW version... just using more white and silver for clothing and armor, months ago when we saw the art about Iomedae i was open mouthed, she looked like an older version of how i had think my character... now i read more about Iomedae's clergy in Gods and Magic and i was deeply surprised they are portrayed pretty much close to how i play her, incluthing the part of not going nowhere unless she is in pristine condition (her closes friend is a wizard with prestidigitation... with that she is always clean)

Oh, before I forget: for those looking for the art for the minis on the Blog, you can find it here. The boys couldn't link on the Blog (it's part of their online rules and such).

These are .jpeg conversions of the original .tif mini art, so some glitching and color alteration may occur (had to go from CMYK to RGB), but unless you're an obsessive like me, you probably won't notice. :)

Good job N'wah! It's Blog-alicious!

It'd be great to see you at PaizoCon. I'd advise you to "sell" the idea as a "business venture" when going to your family and friends for assistance. When people see these in person, they are going to want to buy them. Simple as that. (I already see requests!)

(BTW, I made a new thread to discuss the possibility of a PaizoCon art gallery/show up in the Gamer Connection section.)

I scan ONE set of Goblins off kilter, because they wouldn't all fit in there straight, and I'm branded some kind of criminal for life! JEEZ!

And you're going to Paizo Con, even if I have to drive you there myself (which I probably will, because then I get to go too!)

As for everyone else, I've assembled the colored Goblins together into one file and gotten them ready for N'Wah to post when he gets home, so look forward to that!

I'm working on posting the Paizo goblins as I write this (it's a 1.6 mb file upload, which takes DA a while to absorb). And since Ben and my girlfriend are both interested in going to PaizoCon, looks like we'll be road-tripping it, though we should probably rent a car or something; that's a long way to drive in a small pickup truck. :)

Images finally uploaded! Here's the goblins.

I watched a show where it took a group of five guys, like, three minutes to get across one of those stupid border fences. That's pretty fast, so I bet you can make it. I'll see if I can watch the episode again and find out which method is fastest: over, under, or through.

That, or everybody donate to the "Butterfrog Goes to PaizoCon" fund! That option is generous AND legal!

Oh, and Hugo, I didn't find anything on the Cult of the Green Lady's holy symbol, so it's probably similar to the standard holy symbol of Wee Jas (maybe make it look more femenine; if you want some ideas, I could whip something up with my other art tommorrow).

Wow, you guys are truly amazingly awesome.

If anyone's not busy, I'd love to see my PC, Olaf Olafsson, drawn. I'm really open to a lot of artist's interpretation on this one. While I have a pretty strong feel of his personality, a lot of the details of his appearance aren't set in stone. See spoilers for details.

Spoiler:

Name: Olaf Olafsson
Human Barbarian, from the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.

Olaf has blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He is tall and very muscular, particularly in the upper body, definitely a warrior-type. He's currently wearing chain mail, but it's not integral, so he could be depicted wearing something easier to draw / more visually interesting. His general demeanor is that of a warrior-prince, the last scion of his house, who has fallen on tough times, lost his ancestral home, etc. His one prize possession is his greataxe (two-handed) called Rime's Edge, which was inherited from his great-great-great-great-grandfather. The axe will almost certainly become a Cold weapon in the future, and Olaf himself has Cold Resistance, so feel free to play that up if you'd like

HISTORY / BACKGROUND

Olaf Olafsson, the sixth of his name, is the last male scion of a line that was once known and feared in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings. His ancestor, Olaf Iron-Axe, led the most successful raiding expeditions along the western coast of Avistan in recent history. By the time he settled down to rule from Hangirrsted, he has amassed a fleet of 25 longships and was known as the Ice Pirate in the lands to the south. Even after retiring from raiding, he consolidated a number of smaller cities and towns under his banner, rivaled only by the ancient Blood-Eagle line in Kalsgard.

Of course, any rulership built on one person's leadership can never last, and Olaf's certainly did not. By the time the great warrior passed away, his son, Olaf Olafsson (the first of his name), had as yet been unable to best a Linnorm in combat and prove his worthiness to rule. It took less than a week for once loyal vassal lords to declare their own kingship, and the rule of Hangirrsted collapsed.

Since that time, Hangirrsted and the Olafsson line have faded from common memory. Olaf Olafsson (VI)'s father died in combat with a Linnorm when he (Olaf VI) was was only 16, but not before passing onto him the drive to reclaim their once great heritage. Less than a year later, however, Ingrimundr the Unruly, lord of Bilt, ousted the young Olaf from what little power he held, and annexed the town of Hangirrsted to his growing city-state.

Olaf has wandered since then, finding employment various as a body- or caravan-guard. He came to Varisia through Riddleport, where he arrived as a porter and guard on a grain ship. He then joined up with a merchant train taking manufactured goods from the Gas Forges down to Magnimar and Korvosa. Along the way, he heard strange tales of the Shoanti, a rugged people who seem to share the same blood-rage as his own. While he had long assumed that all southern were soft like the merchants and pirates he had known thus far, perhaps one of these Cinderlanders could prove his equal?

Olaf still carries with him the great axe of his ancestor (called Rime's Edge), and still dreams of someday reclaiming his birthright, though he has no idea how. And, somewhere deep inside, he is afraid that he might not be worthy to hold the axe, that the line will end with him.

MOTIVATIONS & GOALS

- To regain the glory of his ancestor, Olaf Iron-Axe, and to reclaim his ancestral home at Hangirrsted.
- Should he fail in that, to have a son who will be able to carry on the quest to regain said glory.

PERSONALITY / QUIRKS / MANNERISMS

- Olaf is very protective of his axe, Rime's Edge, and never lets anyone else touch it.
- Olaf has a fairly low opinion of "southerners," by which he means anyone not from the Lands of the Linnorm Kings. While not deliberately rude or offensive about it, he does tend to be a little dismissive of their abilities.
- That said, he has tremendous respect for someone who can prove themselves to be his equal. While he usually thinks of this in terms of warrior-ship, he can also respect other forms of power. Should he ever forsake his quest to regain his heritage, this is the kind of person he would look for in a partner to settle down with and produce an Olaf VII to carry on for him

Alright, I just got up about an hour ago, so I'm a bit groggy, but I'll try to get all the various stuff I'm drawing covered. Here's the list (to be worked on between household chores):

* Inking zombieneighbours' commissions (the pencil sketches are in my roommate's room, I believe, so I'll have to wait 'til he gets home to tackle those)

* An otyugh

* A mini of Heraguv for latknightleft

* Iomedae (thus possibly starting a series of gods/goddesses if I can work up the energy to do so)

* Dr. Crow for zombieneighbours, time permitting

If I missed anything, please remind me. I'm still groggy, and there's very little available caffeine in the house. :)

I'm excited about the possibility of doing packs of minis for Paizo APs, but I've got to wait and see what Paizo says. There's been some discussion in that direction, but it's really up to the powers that be to give it the thumbs-up or thumbs down. I don't really know how much they want me talking about it, so I'll shut up now, but I really think it could be a win-win-win for everyone (me, Paizo, and all you wonderful fellow consumers of fine Paizo product)!

At the very least, keeping this thread (or another one) flooded with requests for Paizo mini packs won't hurt our chances of seeing them made a reality-- as we all know, the guys and gals at Paizo are very attentive to what people on the boards are saying and what they want!

N'wah wrote:

Wish granted! Fan art ogres are coming, as are plague doctors and Grey Maidens.

I'll work on the gods when my copy of Gods and Magic ships. I think it might be fun, and the Paizo guys could have the whole pantheon on a shelf when I'm done!

Heraguv and the otyugh are inked and awaiting scanning; I also did a jungle backdrop for my Zulshyn wallpaper, but I might redo it-- I think an action scene might be more awe-inspiring than a jungle landscape (make it look more like the Pathfinder AP covers-- dude standing in front of combat/encounter scene).

Benchak probably won't be home for another 2-4 hours, and he's usually tired after work, but I'll try to get him to scan this stuff as soon as I can. :)

Yeah, the Paizo boards seem to have a hard time dealing with really big threads-- the tally inside thre thread often ends up higher than the one under the thread link. It's odd, but not a fatal problem. :)

If people wanted, I could "borrow" the batteries from my XBox 360 remote and snap a few pictures with the roommate's digital camera. It's no scan, but you'll get to see the art, at least!

EDIT: David, did you get my DeiantART note about the wallpaper? Just checkin'.

Hmmm. While my daughter would like to see some hippogriffs (so her druid can summon them!), I'd love to see what you would do with my pathfinder:

Decades ago, powerful visions of the goddess Sarenrae drove the aging elven monk Aconite into a distant wasteland, there to find self-purification.

Within the lonely deserts of Osirion, the sun's brutal rays scorched and withered his pale flesh; desert sand reduced his luxuriant hair to a matted tangle. His elf-spun robes gradually wore to tattered fragments, fading to match the color of the lonely sands.

This ancient elf has finally returned from exile. Aconite's sea-green eyes may gleam with the madness of a sun-crazed zealot, but his sun-faded bow still strikes true.

Well, in the designing of out latest campign world, we came to the conclusion the the races really had to be redesigned. so we got humans more or less the same, and that's it. I'll try to stick with just the ones that look differant then their PHB counterparts.

The gnomes

Spoiler:
come in two varieties: underground and overground. they have four arms, though in the overground ones these are vestigial. the overground ones are rather small, similar to how we picture gnomes in the handbook. the underground ones are much larger, resembling almost like a troll, and they use their four arms to great effect diggin through the rocks and minign the gemstones the surface ones eat (it is unknown at this point what the underground ones eat, but it can be assumed it's the rest of the rock). the underground ones also turn to stone when exposed to any light at all, magic or otherwise. the surface elves are usually multi-colored to match differant gemstones, but this doesn't seem to actually mean anything (as of yet. I may change that and make it like class-based on colour so that blue ones are taller, red ones are faster, yellow ones are smarter, that sort of thing)

the elves

Spoiler:
are quite alien-like in appearence. the ears are pointed, but not very long. the skin is a dark red, almost brownish colour, the eyes are a solid colour (differs depending on person) and the bodies are hairless. taller and far more androgenous then humans. also very militant

the half-giants

Spoiler:
are closer to half-hill giant then what is shown in the splatbook. much doughier. (not called half-giants, but that's what they are.)

Magi-Kin

Spoiler:
are basically living spells. they come into existence fully aware and mature but as empty vessels. they basically possess disguarded uniforms or skins to be seen or to interact. they may end up looking like an empty suit of armor, black mage from FF, a Ragamuffin (I think)(from MM2 i think), or any thing the player can think of. a flying shirt, scarf and hat and two shoes moving in a mimicry of people around them or something. very curious by nature. In their natural form they just look like a shimmering in the air like heat rising from hot pavement.

The only other one is the halfling and that's allready being done.

When I draw them in mini scale, they end up simpler, and in many cases, cuter, it's true. The new one's gonna end up 50% of that size-- possibly a little bigger than the older one. We're cleaning the living room today, so when that's done, I'll see if Ben's up to scanning them. He's got a character in the scanning queue, so it shouldn't take much prodding. :)

Oh, and Zombie, I found the pencil sketches, so I can get to inking soon. I'm also doing the pencil sketch of Iomedae now.
