I would be interested to find out where other peoples parties located their base of operations and why?
For my group it was out of necessity. They thought about using Zellara's place (It is empty and I don't think Zellara would mind) but the Half-Orc fighter/wizard in the group was working as an enforcer for a group of criminals called the Velvet Hand (Yes kind of cheesy).
His boss found out that the group had the Queen's brooch (when they went to appraise it, the word got out on the street that they had it) and told him that he had to bring it to him or he would have him killed.
The group decided to take their chances and give it back to the Queen anyways. They are now targets and have already fought off one ambush. So they decided to move into the barracks for the short term as it offers them more protection and use it as their base of operations.

Some still maintain residences in Korvosa, but their rallying spot is the "abandoned" warehouse next to Lamm's fishery. When they rounded up the kids--to which two of the characters had strong ties--I added a secret "clubhouse" accessible from the rooftop of the warehouse that he older kids used as a place to avoid Gaedren and company when things got especially tough. Added in a bit of retroactive history of those kids waiting for a chance to liberate the youngsters. Many of the Lambs have since been returned to their families, but those who are homeless are still living there, and the character of a departed player is caring for them.
They seem to be growing concerned that their presence at the warehouse will eventually expose the kids holed up there to danger, so it's likely that the kids will be relocated, or they'll find a new base of operations.

My quartet of players uses the Inn in North Point as their base, though only the rogue stays there regularly :) The cleric of Shelyn goes to the temple most night, the Sable Co. Marine heads over to the Tower most nights, and the Apothecary Wizard heads home to his family and shop in East Shore most nights (he had the missing child trait, and the rescue of his son from Lamm was part of the fun we had in the first part of the adventure).

Our group has four:
1 - My character's rooftop shack in the Shingles above Old Korvosa
2 - A rented condo in the University district that belongs to the team as a whole
3 - Another character's dorm room at the Theumanexus College
4 - Citadel Volsheynik.
We are the self-proclaimed Secret Police of Korvosa, and have been answering directly to Marshal Kroft.

Did no one's players use the ghost Harrow-reader's house at all?
My party thought about staying there, but quickly changed their minds. They didn't feel good about staying there after talking with the lady ghost and getting their first reading. I didn't intentionally try to discourage them, but apparently something about how I role-played the ghost led them to believe that using the house wasn't a good idea.
So my group stayed at the barracks until they got trapped in Old Korvosa. Now they're just crashing in abandoned and ruined buildings as they try and figure out thier next move.

Haivng run this Mod twice, both of my groups (composed of different players) chose to say in Zellera's house.

Did no one's players use the ghost Harrow-reader's house at all?
My group initially used Zellara's house as a meeting-place, though they all stayed at different places. When they were offered free room and board at the Three-Rings they went for that instead, it was too good an offer to pass up. So now they operate out of Three-Rings, plus their various old living arrangements for those who have family/friends there (the wizard didn't, but two of the others had familial obligations and one worked in a bookshop when he could). Now of course they're leaving Korvosa, so who knows what they'll be doing when they get back...

So the group just finished the first adventure and are still living at the citidel. They seem to be bonding with many of the guardsmen and are becoming local heroes with them and some of the city folk.
The criminal boss who is making them watch their back should be resolved at the beginning Seven days.

My group's staying at the Three Rings Tavern. I used the map of the Green Dragon Inn from Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk and used the pics of the cleric of Pharasma from the Guide to Korvosa for Theandra Darklight and the big dude with the earthbreaker from the player's guide for Tauk Par.
I also had Deyanira Mirukova be the bartender for the tavern while her brother Ruan sits on a stool in a corner playing the ocarina for the patrons. I'm hoping this way it'll make sense when she seeks them out in 7DttG.

Our fighter, an aspiring Hell Knight, works his own smithy in North Point; our bard, an actor, has several flophouses spread throughout Korvosa, mostly up in the Shingles; our Abadaran cleric lives in a cloister in the Pantheon of Many; and our Acadamae wizard has a house in the elven enclave in South Shore.
