Rumblefish's 3.5E Play by Post

Gamer Connection

Have a new adventure I want to try. Not sure what level it will get you to, but it starts at one. First four to respond are in. Give me your favored class as well. Try to mix the group up, so that we don't have four spellcasters, or all barbarians and fighters.

Love to join if there's space. What kind of adventure?

Right now am thinking Monk or Swashbuckler type...but can play anything to fit the party. :)

An adventure I made myself that I have been wanting to try out. I will explain the world when we have four. Monk would be fine for this adventure. I think monks are pretty cool

I'd like to join as a druid, if that's okay with you?

Wizard please.

And actually, I was wondering if I could use a variant druid class?

Wind Walker - pg 37

If wizard is not available I could try a monk

How about a fighter or cleric? If it is a cleric I would to try for a prc if it gets to 7th level.

Alright, I think we have four:

Bo dan - Monk
Dave - Druid
3.5 fan - Wizard
Bill - Fighter

Everyone, please confirm this setup, or if you have looked at the group, and want to change your role, just tell me. After everyone confirms, we can begin making characters.

Yep, looks good to me.

Though is it okay if I use that WW class? ;D

How much is starting gold for a fighter?

Sure go ahead with the WW.
By the way, I don't have the PHB with me (on vacation) but let's just say 120 gp.

Here is my rough draft for my character. It is not carved in stone by any means so let me know if I need to change anything.

Yes, I confirm I want a wizard, I will work on my sheet this afternoon and post it on evening.

Here's a quick rought draft of Loghen, the druid. Not finished yet, but it should hopefully suffice until we get more info on the setting and the campaign itself.

Alright, Bill has his character ready, and it looks like Dave is halfway there. 3.5 fan and Bo Dan, go ahead with your characters, and I will make our OOC thread under PBP Discussion, and post the world we will be using. Then when all characters are ready, I will make "Rumblefish's PBP: Not a Chance in Hell" (hint towards storyline) under Play by Post section.

Rumblefish,
Are we rolling our stats or using point buy?

Also "Not a chance in Hell"?? all of a sudden our Monk looks at her hands and wonders if they'll be enough to pierce demon/devil hide?? :O

lol

Derive your stats however you want.
Do not worry monk, your Fists of Fury will be Fine during this Fiasco.
We begin at level 1, nodemons there :)

Man, I'm itching to see the setting of this story. ;D

And Loghen's done now in all but history/personality/appearance. I can decide those when I know the setting.

And we are using 3.5E, not Pathfinder, right?

3.5E, as the PlaybyPost title says :)

Hehe, okay, just making sure since Pathfinder is an offshoot of 3.5 and I wasn't 100% sure. ^_^

By the way, Dave, thanks for that 120 pg. compilation of variant classes. It is AMAZING! I can't wait to spend days burried inside the pages of this text.

Haha you're welcome, I myself spent a week looking through all of that, it's seriously amazing! o.o

Woot! Some nice alliteration there Rumble! snazzy! ;-)

I know I'm being a bit slow getting my monk together but some thing have come up the past few days and I haven't had the time I usually do. If everyone's in a rush to get started though please lemme know and I'll get right on it.

And 3.5 fan, just in case you didn't know my friend, you can post all your character info in your profile, it's set up to do just that actually. Just click Edit Profile :)

Don't worry about making a character ASAP. I am gathering my things on my world, and I want to provide the group as much detail as I can. I should be ready by tonight.

I will be starting a thread under PBP Discussion called "Not a Chance In Hell OOC".
Under this section I will include my write up of the world of Azemja.

here is the Link:
I hope I don't overwhelm you :(

Not a Chance in Hell OOC by Rumblefish

Just clicked on the link, don't worry, I like long posts.

I'll edit this and tell you what I think when I'm done reading. ;D

EDIT: Well, I've gotta say you've come up with an interesting setting, I really am looking forward to playing in it! It'll be even more interesting because of the fact that my character is an elf... those pesky humans. ;D

Thanks for the advice something I knew but I had forgotten it.

I was using it but I did not like it, I prefer using posts for my character's sheet.

You can, of course, do as you wish Patricio. The only problem I might foresee happening is that, with long threads, your character sheet might get lost in the shuffle and become difficult to find. Also, once the post is more than 30 min old you can't edit it again. Of course, I suppose you could just keep on posting your char sheet every few posts or so ;) Either way it's all good to me, just trying to help out :)

Another option would be to copy and paste on a word document and save it, unless you are using a game console to navigate, in that case no problem I can post again my sheet every time I can see it is needed.

Here it is:

Calderis's Background:

Calderis was working as a joker and entertainer for noble houses and rich people from Menske, his prestidigitation tricks were always new and original, no other like him to make laugh people and keep a good show. People said him often “why don’t you learn the bards path” “you chose a wrong career”. However, Calderis always kept in silence about those commentaries and with a smile responded “this is temporary this is the way to achieve greater objectives”. At night Calderis goes to his little house’s basement and starts reading all he has got about magic and experiments new ways of magic.
He was married some years ago but his wife left him taken his little girl with her, she was ashamed of her husband profession so she decided not to stay with him anymore. She thinks her husband is a “hired clown”. Well, Calderis was a prosperous merchant who sold his merchandises to Ensor and Fem before she married him, but times were not so good forever and he went to bankruptcy, so he took something till that day was a hobby to make it his profession from then on.
Some days ago he feels the time has arrived to go through the world looking for adventures in order to recover the status he lost. His magic is powerful now and he thinks the time has arrived to get the glory and riches he need to recover the love of his wife.
Some people thinks he should marry another woman but Calderis loves Tamara his only and true love…according to him.

Hranos is sitting at a roadside tent, nursing a mug of ale. Just today the company of soldiers he was recruited for was disbanded. Now he has no prospects for making a living. His parents are tennant-farmers so he would inherit nothing but toil in the fields if he returned. Work on the road the Green Forrest does not appeal to him but it might be the only way to keep himself from starving.
