any pirate worth his salt has improved evasion, how else do you think every pirate captain can survive enemy broadsides completely unscathed and only die after spectacular cutlass duels. And sometimes while shot.

Oh and you forgot one other thing: Pirate ghosts and undead. Ninjas only have one chance to screw up, pirates can live forever.

Robots do not win(dragons do). Look in Complete Warior/Adventurer

1) Dread Pirates are Prc (and not a good one since most games are land-based)

2) Ninjas are fregging awesome!
They are gestalt rogue/monks with the ability to become invisible
(albeit one round which is all they need anyway!) at second level. 'Nuff said.

For those of you with the access, I would recommend this week's episode of BBC Radio 4's satirical look at the news, 'The Now Show', which had a piece about Somali pirates I found absolutely hilarious. I think there may be a 'listen again' feature somewhere on the BBC website.
