You're welcome, Lou. And now for my secret.

That aspect there... Lou created some narrative mechanics I've never seen in adventures that GMs should definitely filch for whatever game they design. Evolutionary... revolutionary... another word that rhymes with those other than devolutionary.

I think he found a way to make railroad tracks invisible to players. That's heavy.

The word flowchart made my eyes start twinkling and my mouth start watering. The only place I've seen that is in barely decipherable strips of paper crammed into my gaming books or notebook, and even then it was pretty broad stuff more focused on keeping me on track than to conceptualize player choice/impact.

I finished listening to the podcast this morning. I enjoyed the holiday-themed songs at the opening and close, and I've got to say those ladies at the end sounded fine. :)

Lou's module sounds like a lot of fun, and, like Mairkurion, I'm not playing or running a CoC game, but there are a lot of ideas that I can borrow for my home campaign. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading through it too.

Here's to a great 2010 for the Atomic Array!

I really glad you enjoyed the songs, taig.

And after reading Lou's adventure I'm not sure I'd ever design an investigative adventure myself without nicking his new tricks. Complex bookkeeping begone!

And thanks for the well wishing! My the coming year bring you all good things.

Inaccessible hard drive. I had the next three written and ready to go, but then waited a couple of weeks before sending and kerplop went the power source to the drive (or so has been suggested).

This week I test my dell warrantee. ;)

Good luck.

Atomic Array's 38th episode starts the new year off with an animepunk bang! Anime + Cyperpunk = Animepunk. Remember that formula, it might save your life someday.

The latest offering from BlackWyrm Games, Kazei 5 is Michael Surbrook’s take on the genre. After a decade of constant play by hundreds of groups, K5 is now updated for use with HERO 6th Edition, this 300+ page book will give you everything you need to bring animepunk to your game.

Ed’s Pick: Ghost in the Shell
Rone’s Rant: “Prescription Drug Side-Effects”

And if you're asking about the theme I recorded for K5 (I apologize ahead of time for its insufferably relentless hook), yes, that is indeed the Rone of a thousand voices singing the part of the Japanese girl. Delight in your overstimulated confusion and know that I am available for phone-luvin' at the industry-modest rate of $1.99/minute. Ask for "Ani-Megan." ;)

I'm now disturbed and uncertain what to do. Couldn't you have at least hired a Japanese schoolgirl? Some chick from a Karaoke bar?

For propriety's sake, let's just say that I did.

BTW, Propriety's Sake is my new brand of Japanese wine.

My undeniably alluring lady voice is merely a symptom of a larger problem, Mairkurion. Let's be sensitive. Let's pity me and my sexiness.

The pun was the only thing I sympathized with. Remember that Dirty Girl we were discussing recently? Maybe you've let her[him] influence you a lit-tle too much...

The truth is, he picked the right genre (medium?) for gender confusion.

[Keanu]Whoh[/Keanu], it must have been bad then...

Thanks... like the Baboon *shudder* it is one of those events that is firmly imprinted in my memory cortex. I'm just glad that my personal afflictions can actually benefit me in some way. :)

Rone, that's some tattoo. Is that a cut scar on your arm?

Ed, I second everything you say about Ghost in the Shell, with emphasis! Yeap, it's all about the question: What does it mean to be human? I'd extend your endorsement of the film to the entire franchise (films and series), although I've avoided seeing the viewer's digest versions of the series. Altogether, one of my top anime picks. It's been awhile since I watched them all, but my memory says I liked the Stand Alone Complex best. I always wondered if Blade Runner influenced the creation of GitS. I also wonder why the English title is so much better than the Japanese.

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:

That cut leading into the tattoo from below is the latest creation of one of my cats. They're very artistic and prefer skin canvases. As their patron, I do my best to provide.

But I do have some nifty knife, fang and buckshot scars if you'd like to see 'em. :) I must be a slow moving target.

Just a cat scratch? Damn. I was sure there'd be some story about a crazed Nam vet calling you a hippie, an ensuing knife fight, etc. What kind of cats do you have, for cryin' out loud? Jaguars?

EDIT: Ah, now I get what the disclaimer at the end of the show was getting at.

Very clever. lol. That was a nice catch and I didn't even mean to toss the ball.

I do have some great scar stories, but we'll have to hike sleeves and play that game in person.

Heh, that's me. You might have to get me a little tipsy first.

I see now how I was misinterpreting what I was seeing: I was seeing it as many years old, instead of many hours old.

Nothing is more entertaining than when people let it all hang out. Sometimes the things that seem too embarrassing to mention in public are the very things that pull others closer to us, rather than drive them away.

Except of course when you admit to taking carnal advantage of a rutting hippo after the zoo closes at night. Society gets all judgy about that kind of thing. I blame the hippo lobby.

Oddly enough, it seems that I have a knack for opening the Paizo page mere moments after someone responds to something I've written. If that's a sixth sense, it's not all that cinematic, is it?

I guess I do check in a lot. I do a lot more reading than writing here, though I'm far too blabby to ever earn lurker status. ;)

Another great show, guys!

I will have to check out Ghost in the Shell. My anime viewing has been very sparse.

Congrats to Flash and Mr. Shiny for their excellent ghost stories.

And, please, make sure you hold up a sign when you're trying to be funny. :)
