Skinsaw Murders: dealing with Iesha

Right,

Regarding the revenant Ieasha. The description says that unless the mirror is removed all she does is wallow in self-loathing.

* What happens if the PC attack her? Does she defend herself?

* What incentive is there for the PC to even consider the mirror being the reason for her dismal mood? Assuming the PC:s do anything other than attack her, what possible motivation do they have to remove a common mirror from the room? Does Ieasha point at the mirror and say: "Mirror.. bad.. take it away, please..!"

I had Iesha face down with her clawed hands hidden under her head, so the players only saw a sobbing woman who looked a bit off. After the players were poking around the room for a while and poking her, she peeked out to see if the mirror was still there and recoiled everytime she did. This gave the players the idea to remove the mirror.

She stood up, said her lines, and went after Aldern. However, the players still attacked her as she left and received quite a beating before grabbing the mirror and pointing it at her again to immobilize her and kill her.

I think I'll go with something that encourages the PC to interact with her in any other way besides combat. Perhaps painting her in a more sympathetic manner using the haunts. In my opinion it becomes a lot more interesting if the PC realize that this is a dead woman they're talking to, and not just any dead woman, its a dead woman with a huge grudge and a lot going for her in the sympathy department.

If you look at page 90 (revenant) The section on self loathing explains what happens if the characters attack whilst its staring into the mirror.
I woyld say that shes staring into the mirror continually, crying and upset at what she has become because of Aldern. To remove the mirror will rouse her out of the hypnotic like trance she is in and to attack her will have the same effect.
