Improved Overrun

Liberty's Edge

I understand the need and agree with them in improved Trip; and also for the reduction to +2 for the Improved Feats.

I'm wondering IF it's merely an oversight to remove the portion of Improved Overrun that "a creature can not choose to avoid you" or if this was a conscious decision.

During playtesting - I've found that a lot of big creatures such as giants specifically had improved overrun and it worked well for them to use it to knock over his opponents - but the PCs now just choose to avoid them, thus eliminating a major benefit of the feat.

Its not like Imp Overrun allowed an "attack" on the fallen creature like Imp Trip did.

So I'm interested in hearing some of the thoght processes on this.

At this point, I'm Trip is still a better option.

Unless I'm not seeing why or when Overrun would be more beneficial to be used.
