I'm currently playing Savage Tide (in the middle of Sea Wyvern's Wake) and was wondering how much the knowledge in Fall 2006 that Dungeon would be ending after the AP's conclusion affected the development of the path. Were there any major changes to the plot or specific old-school elements that were added as a way of paying tribute to the magazine's history, or were things amped up as a way of making a thoroughly awesome swan song? No spoilers, please, but just knowing that this played a role in the AP's development would be cool.

Although because the final magazine was super sized, the grand finale may have been improved because of the shutdown of the mag.
Actually Im not sure that thats true. Theres alot of appendix type stuff thats not normally in dungeon that got put in, in addtion to all the regular contents.

Actually... it's better to ask how did the Adventrue Path impact Dungeon's end!
The original license to produce Dragon and Dungeon expired in, I believe, March. About 5 or so months before Savage Tide would have ended. Wizards COULD have said, "It's over in March, sorry about that Savage Tide thing," and we would have had to rush to close things off early. But as it was, WotC saw that we had an AP going and they extended the license to issue #150 so that Savage Tide could end more or less as designed. We'd had the entire thing plotted out for over a year, so the extension to the license ending actually let us end Savage Tide the way we had been planning all along.
