Cathedral of Sandpoint

I have a question about the Clergy of the Temple. I understand Father Zantus is the head priest (also a priest of Desna, lvl 4). What about the Acolytes within the temple? What about the representation of the other faiths: Abadar, Sarenrae, Shelyn, Gozreh, and Erastil?

I am thinking of just making an Acolyte for each of the Five faiths and making them a Cleric lvl 1.

What have the rest of you done? Any thoughts or suggestions on how to handle this?

I figure the rest of the Cathedral "populace" are such low level, and "learners" that they have no Clerical lvl, perhaps at most a Religion Rank of 1 and a Heal rank of 1 with Average ability adjustments...like a Ability Score of 10.

They might be Adepts.

Adepts would work well indeed, and more truer to the point of their abilities. But what level? Would they all be equal level? Or would one be higher level (i.e. next line for High Priest title of the Cathedral). I mean they have to be prepared to replace the current High Priest if something happens or is ill?

Perhaps i'm being over prepared, but with my group I can see things odd and strange happening. And I can very likely see my Cleric of Torug wanting to make a more stable place within the Cathedral.

going by D&D rules, Father Zantus is assumedly the highest level cleric in town, that makes 2 2nd level clerics and 4 1st levels in town as well.

That actually sounds about right.

OK, now which ones should I assign the 2nd Lvl class. I also noticed there is a Female Elf Cleric in town, I assume she a little secret of the town, or at least of her full Clerical ability? I don't have the book on hand right now, but I do recall it saying she was a healer of sorts and does daily walks in the "wilds".

The two 2nd level ones should probably be clerics of Erastil and Gozreh. There should be a 1st level Abadar, Sarenrae, and Shelyn clerick, and then the fourth 1st level one should be another Densa cleric. Alternately... if one of your PCs is a cleric of one of those gods, I'd say replace that cleric with another Densan, so that the PC cleric is the only one in town; gives him an "in" to the cathedral.

There are actually a few more clerics in town as well; Hayliss Korvaski is a cleric of Abadar, and Hannah Velerin is a cleric of Gozreh. And don't forget Naffer Vosk, the rogue/cleric of Sarenrae who tends to the boneyard.

I actually needed a priest at one point because ours died.
So they took an adept as an NPC and now samuel is practically
family. The characters really react well to him.

This is what we did, but our cleric of Desna is female {corrected in quote above}
