I'm starting Edge of Anarchy next Friday and I'm trying to figure out music to set the mood. I've used soundtracks to Eberron and Balder's Gate for other straight-up fantasy, and I'm looking for something a bit less "orchestral" but not going as far as gothic heavy. When I read through the adventure, moodier rock music such as early Peter Gabriel or late 70s Genesis come to mind.
So, for those of you who use background music as an element for your games, what's your choice so far when running CoCT?

I'm trying for creepy and later-period music, so ...
- Sleepy Hollow
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Van Helsing
- Midnight Syndicate's Horror/Cthulu Stuff
- Children of Dune
- Medieval Total War
There is a website with free computer game soundtracks ... if you do a google search for "Baldur's Gate" +mp3 you will find a bunch of games that are useful ...

There's quite a few sources that come to mind, but my first suggestion might be a composer named Jeanine Cowen. Basically, her stuff is electronic, but more mood than anything - some of it has a haunting quality that might fit well. I came across her stuff a few years ago from when they played in Asheron's Call 2.

Do tell! Got a few links?

You have to register (maybe? not sure), and even then they say you have to pay/spread the word/post to their forums to download their music, but I found out you can download the songs individually by right-clicking and saving the link. A little tedious, but now I'm soooo set.
Diablo music may work well...its underwhelming in terms of orchestra, but has a certain spookiness to it. Also, I highly recommend Medal of Honor music; it may not quite fit the bill for CoCT, but its good stuff.

I kind of lean towards anachronistic soundtracks(thanks Planescape), but the soundtrack for Le Chevalier D'eon(a fantasy/horror/political/historical drama anime set primarily in pre-Revolution Paris) could also provide some fitting music for a city about to explode, particularly in "high society" areas.

Queen Ileosa's music is the Tannhäuser Overture:

(It was playing in the Throne Room when my party arrived with the brooch).
It's not music, but during the rioting part of Edge of Anarchy, I played shouting and rioting sounds. I think it set the mood well. Or maybe just irritated the crap out of my players.
I played the Jaws theme when the party entered the Direption.
When Lady Andaisin transformed, there was only one choice: O Fortuna!
And of course I'm saving this for Scarwall:
