Pathfinder bestiary?

I'd love to see annual or even semi-annual collections of all the monsters from the previous year's (or years') monsters in one place. In fact, I'd like to formally beg for such a product at this time.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?

EDIT: I love the monthly pathfinder volumes, but lugging all 8 around because I need (for instance) the stats for monsters out of 4 or 5 different volumes... ...not as convenient as one book. Plus, I hear new monsters pop up in pathfinder modules, too. Oh, and before I forget, if the pathfinder powers that be want to throw some of their cooler OGC creations in (particularly using NG contenet since the companies are pretty tight) that would also be cool. Critters like the Headless Lord and The Hidden Beast are intensely cool and should be considered for inclusion. :)

Seconded...

That's why we play at my place. No luggage. ;P

Sovereign Court

Sounds like a great idea, I would buy it!!

This could be cool, but I'd want the first one to come out after the PRPG in 2009, and all the monsters prior to that be updated for the new ruleset.

That makes perfect sense! They can release their own monster manuals. Monster Manual 1: The SRD stuff. Monster Manual 2: The Pathfinder stuff - updated and all.

I would so buy this.

I could go for that.

Great idea. So would the third just be another compilation of the magazines (which wouldn't need to be updated) or all-new?

They're going to have to do something. The Monster Manual will be out of print so they won't be able to just keep referencing the monsters from there forever. They could switch to Tome of Horrors, but I suspect they'll use a book of their own creation instead.

Well they can use all the monsters in the SRD, which is all of the usual subjects except the mind flayer and beholder, I think.

Agreed. I just meant that right now they save a lot of word count by pointing to the Monster Manual and giving a page number rather than reproducing all the stat blocks. A few years from now that won't be so reasonable, since new players likely won't have that book nor an easy way to buy it.

I think they should say "MM p.142/PB p.184", PB being pathfinder bestiary.

They could make the fourth one the next compilation, and the third one all new.

But I don't know how many monsters there will be by then, so the 4th monster book might be quite small - or quite late.

I'd say that they'd have to wait at least two paths to introduce new monster compilations.
