Tarren the Dungeon Master |
He takes the food you throw and does not eat it right away but carries it back into the area of the huts.
"Toll collectors! This is getting very civilized here," complains Larjen.
Continuing down the path, you are approaching the bandit camp. How would you like to proceed? On horseback? On foot? Charge in full speed? Sneak up slowly? Send a scout in first? Go in as a group?
Kornelius Rowel II |

Horrible.
[-4]
Kornelius makes clanking noises.
The horses should be taken care of.
Uemala Neddam |
move silently: move silently (1d20+5=12) Uema cautiously moves with the group into the enemy camp with his oak staff at the ready.
Tarren the Dungeon Master |
Here is a map of the bandit camp.
The guards across the bridge have heard something. There are two of them and they wear leather armour and carry shortswords. They are coming towards you but have not seen you yet.
There is a pen with pigs and a place for horses to run around in.
You see another hut that is also guarded.
Take some time to make plan both about how to handle these guards and how to take over the camp.
Also, you should probably make a roll to 'hide check' if you decide to do that.
Uemala Neddam |
hide check: Hide check (1d20+4=7) not hiding
Uema whispers to his companions " I am going to pretend to have escaped from a boggard attck, when the guards come jump out at them" Uemala drops his staff and starts limping slowly, crunched over down the path. [ooc] Bluff: Bluff (1d20=16)
Tarren the Dungeon Master |
The guards walk forward and when they see Uemala, they laugh and say "Hey look, we don't even have to hurt this one. He comes already hurt for us!".
They walk towards the 'wounded' monk.
At the last second, one of the guards sees the three people hiding (Larjen stayed back with the horses and Ogre for now) and tries to grab his fellow bandit's arm to warn him while drawing his sword with the other hand.
Surprise Round 1 -- All of you get to attack. Make it fast or they might call for help.
Kornelius Rowel II |
"HA!
Take that!"
1d20+4,1d10+3=[11, 4], [7, 3]
"Take a bit o' that!"
Kornelius has now grabbed his oppoment and is pointing his sword at his oppoments mouth.
"Don't you DARE say anything!"
Uemala Neddam |
attack;stunning fist Stunning fist (1d20=18) +2 for STR =20 damage:damage (1d6 +2=8)
Uema launches his fist into one of the guards fase.
Tarren the Dungeon Master |
They are standing in front of a large hut near the horses. The horses may also block your shot if you try a ranged attack from where you are.
Lion of Irori |
Lion wispers his plan to Yaja. "Look, if I may suggest a plan. If me and Uemala swim across the river behind the pig pens then we could easily sneak up on the guards, Kornelius, though our best fighter, would have to hang back and charge if and when things get nasty, as his armour is far to heavy to sneak. Yaja, if you could get cover behind the bridge then you would have free and unseen fire with you're crossbow (he's only being this polite because he likes planning battles)."
Is this possible?
Can we swim the river?
Uemala Neddam |
"Great plan, I'm in." Uema whispers. Swim check (1d20+2=9) Uema follows Lion quietly into the river.
Lion of Irori |
There's two of us and two of them, so they're flat footed? ( say yes)
"Uemala, suppose we both hit one guard at once and take him down? We can signal Yaja and Korney to take out the second one as we move. Then we can mop up guard two and check out the moaning in the hut, Unless you have any better idea's."
Uemala Neddam |
If the hut is made of something we could break quietly, like straw, we should break a small hole. But if it's not, let's go with Lion's plan. If I need it: Search;Attack;Damage (1d20=9, 1d20+2=12, 1d6+2=5)

The hut is made of a combination of straw, mud, and sticks. It could be cut through with a dagger or sword but not quietly.
Tarren the Dungeon Master |
Lion will be attacking in about 7 hours time. I dare not roll for him - I'm bound to get it wrong. Just a thought on this. It might be helpful to have some saved rolls so combat doesn't grind to a horrible halt due to time zones?
Let's get 4 initiative rolls and 4 perception rolls from everyone. I'd rather not start making assumptions about attacks though.

Here yer go.

In case the either guard is still standing.
After his first strike Uemala follows Lions lead and unleashes a furious attack on any guard that's still standing!
Kornelius Rowel II |
Kornelius fires his borrowed short bow (1d20+1=20; 1d6=5).
Between Kornelius and Yaja, the second guard is down without making a noise.
She looks triumphantly across at Korney. "Looks like the plan is working - ready to move?"
"Yep. I forgot to ask Lord Kerrigan ... We are getting rewarded, right?" says Kornelius half-jokingly as he follows Yaja.
