Master of many styles and ki points for additional attack.

Rules Questions

Hi,

Sorry if this has already been answered, but the last post on the topic I could find was from 2011 and still left me wondering.

I'm running a game where one of my players is playing a master of many styles monk archtype. I noticed that this particular archetype surrenders its Flurry of Blows ability for Fuse Style.

After reading up on ki pool I belive this conflicts with the ability to use ki points for extra attacks because of the following wording:

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/monk#TOC-Ki-Pool-Su- wrote:

By spending 1 point from his ki pool, a monk can do one of the following:

Make one additional attack at his highest attack bonus when making a flurry of blows attack,

I think this might be an unintended side effect, but going stricly by the RAW it strips him of this option, but since I believe this might be an accident I was wondering if any of you fine folks have seen any updates or new info on the subject?

Thanks a bunch anywho!

He can't flurry so he can't ki for one attack.
Well, he can spend the ki. It just doesn't do anything if hey doesn't flurry and he doesn't have a flurry ability.

Same thing for Iroran Paladin. This happens a lot, don't read much into it being missed.
