She seems highly mobile. I doubt it will be a problem.

And flexible!

Anyway, I guess Evil Genius isn't returning to us so I was thinking of adding in a player or two now. I should be back on-point, so to speak, so I want to get ready to go with the next section of the game.
I need opinions:
Do you guys want to add 1 new player or 2 new player?
Would you prefer to see certain classes for the new player(s)? Which class(es)?
Any suggestions on who would be a good addition or should I post for someone(or 2) to join?

I want to have our new player(s) by wednesday/thursday and have them complete PCs by the weekend so any input is greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone wants to change up their existing PC or try something totally different, now is the time! Let me know.

I'm all for more players and I think 2 new would be good that way if one does drop out we still may be well rounded.

We do not really have any one capable of disarming traps. Other than that we may need another melee combatist.

Cool, 2 new players, preferably a trap/lock smith and a melee guy. What about a real cleric or someone who can really patch up people?

Holy Shiite! Fakey is the well thing part of the adventure as written or are we off the map?

With regards to adding a cleric. Hozs has done a great job, but I don't know if, as a druid, he can keep it up at higher levels, or if Curaigh wants him stuck in the healing business. It might be nice if there was someone to share the healing chores. Best get Curaigh's opinion.

I'm behind getting some more troops though.

Hee-heh! I am altering the adventure plot slightly to modify a fit for my next part. I figured I could use the lead-in that was looking me in the face with a minor change pretty easily.

BTW guys, I may have found another player to join us. He goes by Rimrock on the boards here and he expressed an interest. He seemed to be thinking of a halfling paladin! Him and Keegan may have some interesting discussions, aye me droggies? ;P
Anyway, I expect he will be posting here soon, so I figured a heads-up was in order.
I'm gonna ask around the other PBPs I play in to see if anyone else wants to join before taking out an ad.

Hey everybody, here I am. I should have a character up by tonight.

What are the rules, point buy and that kind of stuff? And what level?

Start at 1050XP, level 2.

The rules are these:
The Gritty-
We’ve been using Pathfinder Beta rules (loosely, I need some reminding sometimes!).
Abilities will be generated using this method- 3d6+2 6 times, placed as liked and give me a link to it.
All rolls will be done on Invisible Castle under the player's name. If the total ability modifier for the rolls is less than +5 a re-roll will be done if the Player wishes.
Classes-
I want to stay kinda basic so any class from the PHB, PHB2 and Complete Adventurer is acceptable. Certain class variants and generic classes are going to be allowed from Unearthed Arcana: Details to follow.
Max-starting gold.
Items are DMG and Complete Adventurer only.
Bloodlines are available of any strength(you choose) but the actual Bloodline will be rolled for with a d100.
Racial Paragon levels are available.
All PHB2 variants are approved as are the following;
Battle Sorcerer
Specialist Wizard variants
Spontaneous Divine casters
Wilderness Rogue
Cloistered Cleric
and the Generic classes.
Start off with 500gp worth of wealth (a bit low but the current PCs are running a little low too. Don't worry we will catch up.)
Welcome aboard.

One more question: are we using the updated paladin rules and feats that Jason proposed?

I been just sticking with Beta as it is because I haven't been able to follow a lot of the minor changes proposed, but if you link me to or copy the stuff that is relevant I will definitely look into it and let you know.

Male Halfling Paladin 2

I started on Abe. It took me four tries to get a total of ability modifiers to be +5 or greater, and that last try came out to +10! Did I do it right (the links to the rolls are on Abe's profile)?

link to the paladin upgrade

Only the Detect Evil, Smite Evil and Lay on Hands changes are relevant for now.

Male Troll Expert 3, Warrior 1

Yet another short member to the group. I think we are now even in number. Huzzah!

I took the druid variant to sacrifice a spell for fast healing for the entire group, and the 'nature secrets' will let me store a good pile of spells. I may not be an in combat healbot, but healing outside of combat is ok (at least at this level). That being said, I have no problem sharing the thunder... err patronus... err uhmmm....

Oh and with a paladin, the scrolls become more useful.

Liberty's Edge

Paladin. Halfling paladin.

Keegan's gonna have fun with this one.

I like the stats and the Paladin Upgrades that Jason did. Do me a favor and copy and paste Jason's first post there and put it in Aber's profile under a spoiler. Don't forget that they get good will saves also...

I have a RL D&D game I'm running tonight (RotRLs, just kicked the campaign off last week)so I won't be around much for the rest of the day but post any questions and I will get to them tomorrow afternoon (I started a part-time job that runs in-between dropping and picking up the kids at their respective schools, so now I run lil' girl to her school(Leave at 7:20am, 20 minutes away) take lil' boy to his autism program(30 minutes from sissy's school) drive to work(between 20 and 45 minutes depending on where we are working), work for around 4 hours and do the reverse in travel to pick up the kids before getting home at 3:20pm with no breaks). Anyway, my daytime posting will be non-existent until after 3:30 but I will be doing much more PM posting once I get in the groove.

I saw you looking for a rogue or clerics and I'll play either one. I'm not picky. just itching for a game.

Yup, they were the only stats that made the range and none are really overly high, just a good spread, which a paladin needs.

You're in. The group probably needs a locksmith more than a healer since they have a druid with the healing variant from PHB2 and a paladin (not the best coverage but they should get by), but I will let you decide what you want to play.

The creation guidelines are a couple posts up, link me some stat rolls (3d6+2 6-times placed where you like, a set with less than a +5 total modifier gets rerolled.), and start creating a PC. Try to figure out how you know somebody in the group(maybe even Rimrock's PC) and a quick reason as to why you would be joining them in their escapades. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Yeah but Jahn is more of an actress/performer then a familiar. None of that cool spell casting or bonuses stuff. Parents always tip better when their kids laugh at animals.

She isn't a great help to an adventure, though Jahn can dig. And there is always Yip-a-yap.

Hors: Int 6 and Wis 20? Awesome. He's barely smarter than Miss Squeaker. As you level you can put the Squeaker's ability increases into Int, then she can teach Hors tricks.

I believe we started with max hps at first level then roll afterwards, but I think we added in Racial Bonus hit points from Pathfinder Beta when that came out. So max at first level, +racial bonus HP, then roll each level. It gives me more wiggle room for beating up PCs without killing you guys accidentally. 1st and 2nd level is pretty fragile and the extra are really only helpful for the first handful of levels, and lose a bit of relevance once PCs start sporting 50-75 hps.

That's fine. Abe is a LG halfling paladin of Shelyn. What I was thinking was than Abe would be hanging out in Falcon's Hollow doing various art projects and trying to drum up interest for art lessons. It is his personal mission to bring art and beauty to screwed up places like Falcon's Hollow.

You have most probably met with Faldor at some point if you are looking to bring art and beauty to town. His lute is the local divinity for the moment.

He is also been in the local tavern nightly so he is a prominent figure for one of such short stature.

Abernathus and his mutt look good. I shall consider you ready for insertion. If you wish to you can notice the others in the tavern and walk over with Morganst looking to join the unlikely group of heroes for a drink, or you could overhear their concerns and thoughts and such.

Morganst, looking good thus far. You look ready for insertion also.
Morganst-----

Spoiler:
You happened to be going by the well in question several weeks ago in the wee hours and noticed a set of fresh tracks that looked reptilian in nature but were of a small bi-pedal creature. You're no tracker so you couldn't follow them very far but they looked to head out of town and toward the Woods. You may have dismissed the tracks as part of being tired or having a couple glasses of drink and at the time there really wasn't anything of concern going on. Abernathus and you could use this as an excuse to band together with the group if you wish to share this with him.
