I game with several groups, mostly as a player but DM one campaign (Eberron). While most of the players and DMs plan to stick with 3.5 for the foreseeable future, a few of us plan to give 4e a shot with one-shots and limited sessions.
I already plan, though, that if I find 4e viable enough, to seek a campaign as a player or DM it without giving up on any of my 3.5e games. (Okay, I'll probably drop one but four campaigns a month is already a bit much! :) )
Anyone else have similar plans?

I have discussed the whole 4E thingie with my usual gaming group (with which I run two campaigns; I am a player with other buddies in a 2nd edition FR campaign).
I have stated the cons and the pros of the new edition, and why I won't switch, at the same time proposing 4E as a viable alternative for different games or one-shot off evenings - provided someone else does the homework. So far, no response. :-(
While I don't really like 4E and I stand by my choice of the older ruleset, I'm willing to give it a try, bot I won't buy stuff nor I want to be the group DM... pals, I've been the DM for 20+ years, I like doing it, but... just not this time.

I don't plan on running 4e at all, but I know I'm going to be forced into a game or two. Whatever, I say. 4e is not for me, but I'm not going to abandon precious, precious gaming people over it. Just don't expect me to run any 4e games anytime soon, and be sure to roll your eyes whenever I say something knocking it.

I am in two 3.5 campaigns right now. One will probably NOT switch, as it is a homebrew, and everyone is pretty set on not being amused by 4e. The other is completely opposite, and the DM has just said (within the past week) that 4e is looking cool and he wants us to start thinking on switching over.
I'm OK with both. I am JUST starting to feel fully comfortable with 3.5 and its 100's of mini-rules, but I look forward to learning a new set of rules with my 7-yr old son...maybe we can learn 4e together? Maybe 4e is easier to learn? If so, that will be a bonus for us.
Plus, being 37 yrs old, married, with two kids, I don't have an easy time finding a good gaming group that is geared for that type of homelife. So, if one of my groups says "Hey we are playing this...", I'm often excited to be invited and I look forward to the next session. If I didn't, I would not continue to play.
