Thief or magic-user, but just barely on both.

it's Sharoth after 2 years of weight training.
HA !
Again a fitting tribute Tarren, I only wish we did not have to this so soon after Mr. Gygax left us.
here goes
Strength 14
Intelligence 17
Wisdom 13
Dexterity 10
Constitution 14
Charisma 12
adjusted for age + 1 to constitution and - 1 then + 1 to wisdom from the DMG 1st ed, then + 1 to dexterity and - 1 to constitution because I'm either an Elf from the Basic set or a fighter/MU from 1st ed to join this company.
WE the gaming community faithful are Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson's legacy.
To our fearless captains: HUZZAH !
and because I DO remember
COM 14
(I would save these rolls actually ...)

Cheers to Dave Arneson - brilliant idea bringing the thread back too!

Wow...what an exceptionally unexceptional character. Yes, I really rolled 3 10's in a row. I think I'd make a dwarven fighter/theif out of it.
Thank you for roleplaying, Mr. Arneson. :)

So, after almost 30 years of DMing I finally get to roll up a character... I still think this method is not so bad.

I have no idea of what mister average qualifies for, but it could be fun to turn him into a clumsy Bard that was just average enough to think he could sing. When that fails him he switches to really easy magic tricks which might be followed up with terrible childish jokes which make nobody laugh. Since he is wise enough (he thinks) to keep his head (as he is too weak to fight).. he escapes out the back door, leaving town just like the guy depicted in the Rogues gallery on horse... unfortunately he falls on his butt trying to get into the saddle.

Hot damn!* A Paladin (non-Cavalier)!
Actually, up until the last roll I was considering a hardy, street-smart thief.
*- Oops. I mean "By Heironeous' grace!" or "By Pholtus' Blinding Light!"

Sickly 2nd child of a merchant family. The family had no money to look after such a child and he was no use in the family business. At an age of 10 he was given to the church. By twenty five he was seen as likable but cynical, yet with a wisdom that belied his age.
Cleric.
Thanks Dave, your impact on peoples lives will live on in 6 little stats forever.

Wow. Those aren't half bad at all! I should stick with this method for all my characters!
Guess I'm probably a shifty cleric of some thiefy type god; my wisdom and intelligence are too high and strength is too low to be any sort of proper street thug.
AND: This thread idea might well be the best Dave Arneson tribute yet. Well done.

STR 10

DEX 17

CHA 14It looks like this would be a somewhat reasonable Sorcerer maybe a halfling or Gnome.
Rest in peace Mr. Arneson.
I think your legacy is in good hands with the Paizo crew.
Just my 2 cp.
"3d6 in order" is old school. Your dude has thief written all over him ;)
