Are Half-giants medium-sized with powerful build, like a Goliath or are they-large sized?

How many exits and entrances are there to the building? Do we see any windows that may provide access?
Holdrus keeps his sword covered and secured under his robe, one hand on it constantly. He periodically exposes the hilt when he is sure no one is around(in case it needs to "see" in some manner, if it's sight doesn't work that way he won't risk exposing even the hilt while out).
"Man-giants. They are strong but not as smart as full-blood humans usually. I fought a few in the arena and they can be a problem if you aren't careful.

The first one.

There are no windows. You see a single doorway from where you are located.

Male Mul Warrior 4 (SRD generic class)

Ok team, wanna circle around to see if there are any other exits or windows?

For the day crew:
Following the departure of their companions, the party waits impatiently for the horns to signal the start of the business day. Their nervousness appears to be contagious, for immediately following the trumpeting, Tik-Daw’chk hurries the remaining party members outside, wielding a straw broom and dish rag like a trident and net.

Business is booming today, and as you wander the streets, hagglers of all varieties hawk wares from exotic fruit and clothing to weapons and house-wares. Normally you would expect more of a press of populace, but unfortunately, many of Raam’s citizens have little need for material goods.

As you explore the market, you overhear,

“Elven trade just isn’t what it used to be, back when they had their own quarter of the city. Of course, those were some terrific arena battles after they were arrested.”

“Prices are up, what with the army pillaging everything before they marched…ugh, Dregoth be praised!”

“Did you hear they arrested a batch of wizards the other day?”

Inquiring after those that might be interested in purchasing the jewelry, a sun-baked dwarven man running a stall filled with all manner of colored inks and dyes offers you six silver house coins for the lot.

It's not like Aso and I know anything about prices in Raam. Will the 7 coins Aso has buy him a (1)small Greatsword, (2)Shoulder bag (3)light armour and (4)backup weapon? If the small greatsword is hard to find then he'll ask if anyone knows where you can get one.

male human lvl 6 +1la human; 5lvl rogue xp 15,00--21,000 next levelup

Okay; I think a silver coin is 10 ceramic coins. A ceramic coin is roughly a g.p. in the PHB, however prices for steel weaponry are high, as well as bronze not so bad, and that blood obsidian is expensive too. I think you have about 70 g.p., dude, but I could be wrong. And I think an iron weapon would be out of your financial reach, but bone or stone might be doable.

Hey, you ARE with us, if you want to, and Radik, too. Let's get info, go find Marada, and party!

Fain, Radik, and Aso. Sounds like an adventuring party to me.

Ok. Just to summarize/verify. We have two groups right now. Aso, Zuko, MalaKi, Faindriac, and Radik in one group. Shenker, Holdrus, Kha-Chik-Chik-Ka, Kirrish, and Skarsnikt in the other. Did I forget anybody?

You might also want to inquire whether the Sand Runners have any affiliation with slavers or if any local slave traders had any kind of hand in our abduction from the oasis.

I think it is safe to assume you sent them with a few general question ideas. Unless you want to just switch groups? Not like it is set in stone…

Male Human (Athasian mutant) Psion3/Wiz1

Also, Faindriac (if no one else) still feels like he should try to help the Alliance. (Not so much that he going to accost the first Templar he sees, but) once he hears the rumors about the captured mages, he starts formulating possible rescue plans.

I also like the 2 day teams starting out together, let those of us with little or no Cha backup the 'info' team, and then we go pay Marada a visit! Oh yeah!

Aso wrote:

The economics are a little funky. The ceramic is roughly equivalent to a D&D gp, a bit is equal to a D&D sp, a silver coin is roughly 10 ceramics, and a gold coin is 100 ceramics. Normally you can just translate gp to ceramics, but armor and weapons have odd costs. So, to make that shorter, the 6 coins are about 60 ceramic / D&D gold pieces.

Shoot, just saw Shenker's post on the same topic.

Maybe you should tell us how you think it's planned, Beeler.

Cuz we've said so many different things.

Aso wrote:

Sorry, getting static on this channel. The party makeup, or something else?

I mean the dissonance level is pretty high from us, so how are you reading our party makeup and plan?

Aha, for some reason I thought Faindrac was with the night group, probably adding to the confusion. Your summary from earlier works:

I'm assuming the night crew gets back in shortly after the day crew leaves, but that may not be the case. We'll see, but I'll swing things subtly with my bamboo stick of "don't force me retcon" if I have to.

That's how I interpreted it. Well, if someone hasn't chimed in, too bad, whatever G'mork says now is the law.

Also, where does a PC find some treasure on this god-forsaken planet?

I think it generally consists of finding people with stuff, then beating them up and taking it..

Updates today are going to come after noon, have another appointment (yay).

A group of scavenger animals watches with interest as the party creeps around the tops of the noble’s dwellings, perhaps waiting for them to slip. A low stone wall and courtyard separate this side of the spa from adjacent properties, making it difficult for the party to simply alight upon the roof from your current vantage, though Ka-Chik could potentially carry the party over singly. That the spa is the source of the rhythmic music is readily apparent from here.

The group can see two entrances / exits, one on each end of the building, though a thick archway of bricks line both sides of the leftmost doorframe to prevent entry. Shenker begins to make an initial foray towards Featherwhisper’s to test the right-hand door before the birdwoman stops him, catching a hint of movement.

The door slams open, and two large muls step out, carrying a laden sling between them. A dissonance of radiance and reverberation pound from within the building’s interior through the open doorway. Flipping the sling out, a body tumbles into the alley behind the spa. Not giving the unmoving body a second look, the muls return to the spa, closing the door behind them.

The dwarf, well accustomed to haggling, ups the ante slightly. “You are robbing me blind, but I want these for my daughter’s name day. Six silver house coins, and a vial of lavender pigments. The only place you might get a better deal is in there, assuming you don’t get your throat cut instead!,” he says, jabbing his thumb in the direction of a dilapidated archway. The neighboring gateway appears to lead to an older, run down section of the city, likely slums of some type.

“The wizards? I can’t wait to see them die in the arena either. Likely to be some sorry betting though, not good odds at all.”

“Marada? Never heard of her. I could ask around, though it would take up a lot of my day…”

“Hainvar’s? Try the noble district, that’s the only place you’d find a sauna around here!”

An elf looking at blown glass in a shop next to you perks up at the mention of the Dust Runners. “They’ve been trying to ingratiate themselves into Raam ever since the Night Runners were crushed by Dregoth. Running slaves and weapons of all sorts, bullying the rest of the tribes off, preventing perfectly legitimate trade” (there are a few snorts from the stall owner at this last utterance).

“You’ll find them in there (indicating the same direction as the dwarf had perviously), though I wouldn’t go looking for trouble; the chief is a former student of the college of the Way here in Raam; can’t miss him, what with the carved disc hanging from his neck all the time.”

The more he thinks about it, the more he thinks the map he is holding might be of Featherwhispers. As soon as the day & night groups re-group, he will show them the map and see if the outside of the building matches up to the map.

"Sadly, clutch not appear rich. Perhaps Holdrus wear garment of dead softshell, gain entry in oasis, yes? With proper garment, Holdrus look like elder softshell, him walk inside, find ancestor spirit weapon, yes?"

Night Group:
Holdrus, stealing over the wall and slinking towards the door, discovers the (sorry Skarsnikt, forgot to mention this the first go around) naked body to be a half-elf in roughly his mid thirties, breathing shallowly. As Holdrus begins to drag the still living body towards the rest of the group by the forearm, three very lean looking jackals round the corner.

The large canids stand roughly three feet tall at the shoulder, which bony-ridges along their skull and spine, and anxiously salivating mouths full of curved teeth. They do not appear amused at potentially losing an easy meal, though, possibly accustomed to the scent of Mul, they do not seize upon Holdrus immediately (Look who got lucky the bouncers were Muls…).

Shenker coughs loudly.

The dwarf bemoans the pitiable state of affairs which have forced him to practical charity, while gleefully counting out coins and accepting your jewelry. He also hands you a small glass vial filled three-quarters full of an attractive colored lavender substance. “Careful with that now, I can’t tell you what goes into it, obviously, but it isn’t easy to come by!”

“It’s getting a bit stale as of late; the living fighting corpses and becoming corpses who fight the living. Now that most of the dead have marched out to put the Lion of Urik in his place, I hear the Templars are planning something really special; keep the citizens in line and all that.”

By the way, Aso. If there is something you want to buy, just assume you manage to track it down over the course of the day if it is non-magic, unless you want to haggle it out. Prices are running just slightly higher than the PHB in Raam atm, though no need to gouge yourself.

Aso is now the only respectable looking member of the group.

Aso buys

Leather Armour 10 ceramics (8 lb)
__ +2 / +6 / 0
Beltpouch 1 ceramic (1/2 lb)
Waterskin 1 ceramic (4 lb)
Small Greatclub 5 ceramics (wooden--8 lb)
__ 1d8 x2
Small Machete 50 ceramics (Arms & Armour 3.5--Steel--2 lb)
__ 1d4 x2 RNG 10

3 ceramics left but that is PHB prices.... come on the weapons are SMALL and require less materials!

It's up to you, tell me if it's over my 70 ceramic limit.

Do you have a rule about weights of small weapon sizes? I can't remember seeing one in the PHB, but it seems to me a small weapon should weight slightly less. Small armour is half as I remember it.
