We're so mean, we blew up a planet just for snoring.
We Minnesotians shall not bow down to the evils of blackmail. We have a giant de-humidifier at our disposal.

EileenProphetofIstus |

Just for that,....75 earth credits a piece, and now he's breeding giant mosquitoes.
But we already have giant mosquitoes. Many people confuse them with the state bird. We even sell tee shirts with them advertised as the state bird. As for 75 credits, I'll give you credit for trying to blackmail an entire state.

G. I. Wombat,...assemble your dropbears and meet me at the helopad.
We have our work.
Yes G.I. Wombat you have work to do. Obviously you need the dropbears to pick up soils of Heaths underwear as he realizes he is in way over his head. I'm sure the Helicopter is for attempting to escape the embarressment of his biological boo boo.

EileenProphetofIstus |

Okay, everybody got a full clip of kryptonite tipped bullets?
I'm not sure which side your on but I will remind you of the Legion Constitution Heath...
Article 4.0 RESIGNATIONS OR EXPULSIONS FROM MEMBERSHIP, Subsection: (viii) reads:
"knowingly taking the life of a sentient being in other than a provable situation of self-defense or as a provable only available alternative to the death of sentient beings."
This wouldn't be what you have in mind now would it?

EileenProphetofIstus |

I'm mind controlled by Skrull babes.
I have absolutely no idea what you are even talking about. I believe you are under mind control, but who are the Skrull babes? If you really are under mind control, then how is it that you have enough intellectual control to proclaim this alleged fact? Perhaps the Skrull babes (whoever they are) aren't really controlling your mind, maybe you just think they are! Or maybe it is me that is really controlling your mind. Maybe you just think you have a mind.

EileenProphetofIstus |

Shapeshifting babes with chinfists from another dimension.
Hmmm...sounds like something you'd like. I'm guessing they are using you for their personal needs. Requiring you to fill their every whim and desire. Sounds like a rough life. At least they are shapeshifting, therefore everyone is anatomically correct!

EileenProphetofIstus |

They ordered me, to take the Legions' water.
I think all we have to do is put you and Saturn Girl in a room together for a few minutes and she can solve your brainwashing problem. All in all, your humidifier scheme didn't concern me since your do-badders do bad work or are bad at what they do. So either way the universe really is safe from the likes of the chinfist babes. I also agree with niel, the term chinfist doesn't sound appealing at all. I hope they look better than they sound, because it sounds bad, or do they also do-bad or is that bad at what they do?

EileenProphetofIstus |

It'll take a session once a week like Tony Soprano.
I got issues, baby.
Come on Saturn Girl!!! Shrink my mind!!!
Or she could just give you a lobotomy. Oh wait, that would be unlegionnaire like. How about she just pokes around and removes just the bad stuff. Although I am wondering Heath, do you have any deep and dark secret you want to confess? Once she starts poking around up there, everything will become known.

I wish!!!!!!!! I look everytime but have yet to find. I have checked on the internet and can find them, though I have never ordered one. I have never ordered over the internet before so I'm kinda leary about that.
I did however buy 162 or so Legion comics and a graphic novel! So I was happy about that! Have to recount to be sure.

EileenProphetofIstus |

They ought to have a Lobo vs. the Legion of Super Heroes Christmas Special drawn by Simon Bizley.
Why? I don't like Lobo, he's ugly, I don't know who Simon Bizley is, and I have an issue where the Legion is already celebrating Christmas. So what does Heath want for Christmas that is Legion related?

Uhm; knowing most of my consciousness is still in the headquarters database; and knowing that the destruction of the HQ will not kill Luther and crew; the primary objective is to keep 30th century gear out of these dangerous criminal hands; 1st priority is to transfer my intelligence back into my own frameware; but I have been damaged in the ongoing fight; repair time to recombine exceedes HQ destruction countdown; Data analysis shows JLA flightcraft onboard computer large enough to retain my missing program pieces; History shows that Luthor will make a copy of my base program at this juncture and create the villain known as Brainiac, which in this timeline may or may not merge with Luthors consciousness; history also shows that current legionaires under Brainiacs scientific lead; defeat Brainiac and Luthor.
Initiate program; sieze control of archaic JLA flightcraft onboard computer; done; set up data block antihack genecode; initiate replication code 7b4 alpha; 13 minutes to streamware coding for recombination; warning; onboard computer of JLA flightcraft shows Green Lantern, Supergirl, the Flash, with Hawk and Dove.
Subjects Hawk and Dove closing in on Brainiac 5's current position; current offensive firepower taken offline and power routed to force shield belt and flightring.
Hawk and Dove closing fast; strategic analysis show they are not a threat; but can be dissarmed with display of need and greeting. Enact greeting initiative.
"Greetings JLA agents termed Hawk and Dove, I am Brainiac 5; a member of the Legion of Superheroes; what you might consider the grandchild of your organization in the future; in a battle our hq and group were thrown back in time; your Legion of Doom has penatrated our headquarter to look for advanced weapondry; the HQ will self terminate very soon; I am damaged and in need of repair; I officially request your aid in this time of need; please take me to your ships medical facility; and gather all who need help to move 27 kilometers from the HQ."
(interesting physics note; the villian that Saturn Boy increased gravity on will only appear to be decending for a crash on earth depending upon his mass; if his mass is sufficient; he will actually begin to orbit the earth; so will be falling toward earth for a long long time.)

Just posted, eaten again. Sigh, all that effort, gone again. Sigh once again. Shakes head, looks like it is going to be one of those days. Here's a shorter, less dramatic version of what happened.
In short, Cosmic Boy attacked Tharok and short circuited his computerized body. Tharok now struggles to remain conscious.
Light Lass continues to hurl the Legion HG into the upper atmosphere, hoping to reach space before the explosion occurs.
Bouncing Boy attacks Captain Cold giving Brainiac 5 the opening needed to reach the JLA cruiser.
Validus recovers from his fall and attacks Star Boy with his brain emitting lightning bolts. Star Boy goes limp and is hurled upward from the blast, threatening to be in the explosive range of the Legion HG.
Saturn Girl continues to struggle with control of the Legion of Doom members minds, but she's slipping and can at best continue for 1-2 more posts before she blacks out from overtaxing herself.
The remaining members of the Fatal Five still in action, Mano and Persauder are in battle against various members of the Legion of Doom.

What I do, if I'm writing a long thing I don't want to type again, is hilight whatever I typed, hit copy, then submit the post. If it doesn't submit, I can just open a new reply, hit paste, and my diatribe is back.
I think Phantom Girl is sending them to the Phantom Zone or somesuch nonsense from the future.

I think of doing that but only after the fact that my post has been eaten. Sigh, my inexperince once again shows. I think you should do all of my posting for me.

See? Saturn Girl messed with your brain. I'm tellin ya, them Legionnaires are schmuckoes. YOu gotta fight em.
Well she has recently messed with Timber Wolf's brain. He was so angry with her she had to "control" him to avoid being attacked. Personally, I think he was a bit oversensitive to the whole matter. Imra is a sweet girl and truly wants the best for the Legion. If she tampered with my brain it is only for the greater good. Come with me Heath,(stretches out hand) you too can become one of us!

No way, man. I am indomitable. Nobody gets in my mind. It's the worst kind of violation. Nobody manipulates the Main Man that way.

Ok, here is part of the introduction to the book. I left out the basic story about how the Legion formed, rather I included a stronger outline of chapters. Here's what I am asking from the Legion community. Whether you are really familiar with the Legion, a fan of super-hero RPGs, or someone with a keen RPG mind, please elaborate on each area giving me a better idea of what to add to these chapters based on what I have so far or how you would restructure these chapters and why. I'm really looking for some input here so don't be shy about posting.
HOW TO USE THIS BOOK
The Legionnaire Commlink Rules book provides the core rules of game play. Herein, representing players and the Cosmos Master will learn how to create Legionnaires, interact with one another, conduct combat in the game, how super-powers work, and how to improve their heroes over time.
The book is broken down into several chapters each dedicated to a particular part of the game. The first several chapters are oriented towards character creation; the use of super-powers; as well as other abilities Legionnaires and NPCs have in order to perform actions.
The book provides an introduction to the universe in which the Legion exists. The look into the universe is an overview which will be greatly defined in another supplement. This section serves to give the representing players an introduction into the universe without revealing all of its hidden secrets.
Herein, representing players and Cosmos Masters will find representations of all of the Legionnaires, all the way from the early days of Adventure Comics, to the Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Each of the renditions which followed the original series will have a separate book dedicated to it, allowing the Cosmos Master and representing players the full details of that version of the Legion of Super-Heroes, including variations of the characters themselves as well as the universe they live in.
Chapter One: Legionnaire Creation
The first chapter within the Legionnaire Commlink Rules book provides a look at the basics of character creation, beginning with Legionnaire Status and a brief introduction to powers. Chapter 1 describes the basic traits of Legionnaires as well as providing an overview of the basic games concepts necessary to facilitate play.
Chapter Two: Powers
The second chapter takes a detailed look at the powers and how they work in the game. Herein, one will read about the individual powers of the Legionnaires as well as their foes.
Chapter Three: Areas of Expertise
The third chapter entitles Areas of Expertise provides the non-super powered related abilities that Legionnaires as well as others, be it villains, henchmen, minions, or innocents will have to conduct activities throughout their daily lives. Here the representing player and Cosmos Master will find abilities such as the various fields of sciences, academics, weapon and vehicle familiarity, as well as law enforcement skills, and others.
Chapter Four: Origins, Personalities, Goals and Fate
The inner workings of a Legionnaire are an overview of the personality, origins, and goals each hero has. This chapter develops each of these concepts in order to create a viable Legionnaire who extends far beyond mere combat and basic abilities. Herein, representing players and Cosmos Masters will find personality précis’ they may acquire which help define whom a particular Legionnaire or villain is, how they act and react to situations in combat, socially, as well as a host of other areas of development. Chapter four assists in developing origins for Legionnaires, villains and their henchmen. Finally, this chapter allows for the development of goals and incorporating the fate of Legionnaires and villains into the game in order to better follow the many stories written about such individuals.
Chapter Five: Training and Education
This chapter takes a strong look at the improvement of Legionnaires and villains as they develop throughout the game. It provides the representing player and Cosmos Master with rules on improving their heroes and NPCs so that they may progressively improve as time goes on.
Chapter Six: Rules of Battle
Just like the comic book stories, Legionnaires and villains will do battle with one another. This chapter is dedicated solely to how combat works within the game. Representing players and Cosmos Masters will learn all of the many combat options, tracking damage, as well as the determination of who acts first in combat, and a host of other battle related information such as movement and time within the game.
Chapter Seven: Vehicles of the 30th Century
Within the 30th century, interstellar travel is a commonality between worlds. As a result, this chapter is dedicated to how space travel works, the vehicle rules of spaceships, ground vehicles, as well as other means of transport.
Chapter Eight: The 30th Century
The 30th century is a wondrous place filled with the United Planets, the Science Police, worlds beyond imagination, as well as many space phenomena’s which Legionnaires and villains must interact with. This chapter provides a basic overview of these concepts allowing the representing player and Cosmos Master a beginning look at the universe around them. This chapter takes a look at the 3oth century from the view of the original version of the Legion, beginning with Adventure Comics and ending with the Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
Chapter Nine: 30th Century Technology
This chapter is dedicated towards the technology of the 3oth century. It discusses equipment common throughout the 30th century ranging from weapons, and transports, to food replicators.
Chapter Ten: The Legion Roll Call
Just as the previous chapter took a look at the 30th century of the original Legion, this chapter provides a roll call of those members, limited to those introduced from Adventure Comics through the Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Complete statistics of each Legionnaire, including basic traits, powers, areas of expertise, origins, goals, fate, and personality précis are all covered for every Legionnaire.
Other variations of Legionnaires taken from renditions which followed the original series will be included in separate supplements dedicated to that particular version.
Chapter Eleven: The World of the Legionnaires
The final chapter within this book includes an overview of the immediate world of the Legionnaires. Representing players and Cosmos Masters will find the Legion Constitution, the Interlac language, the Legion clubhouse, equipment specifically vital to the Legion, along with a few others concepts which are part of the Legion itself.

Do you have to kill a Legionare to get experience points, or just whup em but how?
Glad you asked Heath. Yes if a villain defeats (or shudders, kills) a Legionnaire they would get experience. Why are you in need of some? In your case, may I suggest starting with the Legion of Substitute Heroes or perhaps the super-pets.
The experience system is fairly complicated. In short, one acquires Hero Points (Vile Points if your a villain). They are earned for pretty normal things like roleplaying, accomplishing plots and subplots, working together as a team, using your powers to compliment one another for special effects, battles, reaching the end of game, performing heroic acts, etc. Each of these divides the points gained into three categories (called Databases). These Databases are specifically the Action Database, the Legion Resource Database, and the Legionnaire Database. Depending upon what the PCs did to earn their Hero Points they are automatically divided up and entered into these three Databases. Each separate way of earning points is worth maybe 1-20 points apiece and designated as to which Database they go into.
The Action Database is a pool of Hero Points for every PC to use to adjust die rolls (such as attack rolls, Defy Defeat Rolls, Defy Blow Rolls, reduce special attack effects, that sort of thing). Limitations are put on how many times or how many points a specific character may use them in a playing session.
The Legionnaire Database is kept by each player and used to improve the Legionnaires each PC is in control of. My guess is that most players will use them to improve the Legionnaire they created and keep the mainstream Legionnaires the same. Improvements are what you would expect, improve ability scores, skills, and powers.
The Legion Resource Database is another pool of points where everyone dumps Hero Points into. Here the PCs must use the points to collectively purchase new equipment for the Legion (like spaceships), set up satellite bases, add weaponry, delaying villains from making return appearances, adding new members, making changes in the Legion Constitution, that sort of thing. I hope to have in game Legion meetings in which the PCs will roleplay the discussion of how their funds are spent.
Probably more than you wanted to know Heath but I pretty much look for feed back anytime I can get it.
Now in your case, obviously you would earn Vile Points and similar Databases would exist for you though I doubt I would have any kind of resources database for the villains, but the other two would exist (those for personal improvement and for adjusting die rolls throughout the game).
