Not sure if I've ever mentioned this one before, but I just picked up a few bottles in Delaware not too long ago and was drinking one tonight:
Abita SOS (Save Our Shore): A Charitable Pilsner
This unfiltered Weizen Pils is made with Pilsner and Wheat malts. It is hopped and dry hopped with Sterling and German Perle hops. It has a brillaint gold color, a sweet malt flavor, and a pleasant bitterness and aroma.
This Abita brew is a message in a bottle: A distress signal for the troubled waters of our Gulf Coast. For every bottle sold, Abita will donate 75 cents to the rescue and restoration of the environment, industry and individuals fighting to survive this disastrous oil spill.

Samuel Adams Tasman Red
This wily red IPA gets its character from the Tasmanian hops that are full of grapefruit, pine, and earthy notes creating a bold flavor that threads throughout the taste. The hops are balanced by a core of roasty malts that give this brew body and richness with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry and citrusy hop finish.
Batch No.1 according to the bottle. 6.75% ABV. Not as strong as some of the stuff I usually drink, but pretty decent.

I don't think I've had that one. I had the Griffin's Bow and I have the Chocolate Chili Bock in my frig. The store I usually go to had all 6 of that series but they've sold out. The Griffin's Bow was ok. Unfortunately, I was expecting more out of a blonde barleywine.

I'm pretty certain this Tasman Red is pretty new.
It is. Sam Adams released a limited line of beers a couple of months ago of really different beer styles. There was six of them, the Tasman Red being one of the more normal ones. I don't know where the Tasman fell on the production scale, but its the only one of the six I see now in the stores (though the store I go to seems to be pretty horrible about restocking).
Just checked the website and they only list four now, the Vixen (chocolate chili bock), Griffin's Bow, Tasman Red, and Third World Voyage (double IPA-sounds good).
I am excited that they are bringing back the Noble Pilsner year around. If you haven't had it, it's pretty good but it's a bit misleading calling it a pilsner as it's pretty hoppy like an IPA.

I'd classify it as an IPA, honestly. It's made from five or six different Noble hops. One year, and I wished I picked it up, I saw at the store a special Noble Pilsner 12 pack that broke down each beer into its individual hop so that you had two beers brewed with that one particular hop. It's definitely not a bock, which makes me realize I haven't seen their double bock beer in ages.

Guinness Black Lager
UGH! That slop is an abomination -- Guinness made their well-deserved reputation on doing one thing extremely well -- stout. This branching off does not bode well, particularly because it was so unmemorable -- I had the black lager last week and can't for the life of me remember anything distinctive about the taste.

I <3 Julius Echter, or Julies as we called them in college. In college, I could find is everywhere in Keene, NH, but after graduation I couldn't find it anywhere. About a year and half ago, one of the beer stores I go to began carrying it. They also had six packs of another one of my favorite beers, "Whale's Tale Pale Ale." I almost cried tears of joy.

Tonight, for the first time, I'm trying Dogfish Head ta henket, their ancient Egyptian ale. It's brewed with Za'atar, Doum Fruit, Chamomile, Emmer Farro', and Free-range Egyptian Yeast.
If I recall correctly, the making of this beer was the focus for an episode of Brewmasters.
Very interesting taste. Maybe not one of my favorites, but a good beer that I think I'll drink again.
Only 4.5% ABV.

Insanity Ale is probably the all time greatest.
I'm also a big fan of Young's Double Cholcolate Stout.

Went to Total Wine and More last Friday for a supply run. One of the singles I picked up was Red Hook's Nut Brown Ale. Not a bad little beer, but it was more the unusual bottle that drew me to it. It's the kind that can be re-capped, so I might clean it out and make it my sample bottle when I start brewing again.

The other night I had a Stoudts Revel Red
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full bodied ale has a deep reddish amber color with a thick creamy head. Pungent hop flavors are derived from 3 different varieties of domestically grown hops. This ale finishes on the dry side with a wonderful citrus hop flavor.
6.2% abv
All in all, I liked this one. A great beer to drink while sitting back, relaxing, and surfing the web.

Our English beer is clearly superior, and I'd put my local ale, Harveys Sussex Best Bitter, at the top of the pile. Another local brewery, DarkStar produces some fantastic ales as well.
As for foreign beers, Gulden Draak out of Ertvelde, Belgium is a fantastic beer - although it kicks your head in quite quickly.

My favorite used to be Boulevard Brewing Co.'s Lunar Ale, but it seems I was the only one. It's no longer in production.
So my current favorite is probably Boulevard Bully! Porter. Though on a hot summer's day, I'd prefer Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat, or another Belgian-style white.
For imports, I like Newcastle (boring, I know), and Guinness so long as it's on draft and correctly nitrogenated. I dig a good schwarzbier, whatever the brand.
My usual order at my local pub is a half-and-half, with Guinness and Boulevard Pale Ale.

There are several English beers I enjoy - Many of the Sam Smith's and Young's Double Chocolate Stout are my favorite.
But I have to ask, superior to what? If you were to say the big 3 American brewers, I might actually agree with you. If you said all American beers, or all beers, then I'd have to say you're smoking some pretty good stuff.

When i am not on a budget, Newcastle Brown Ale is my absolute favorite. On a budget it's Natural Light. Anything that is dark, with lot's of alchohol in it deserves honorable mention.
There is a restaurant on Ocean Blvd, in Long Beach California called Rock Bottom that serves some of the tastiest micro brews i have ever tasted.

I'm a big Boulevard Brewing fan (almost all their stuff), and my wife absolutely adores Leinie's Sunset Wheat -- she tells me we need to make a pilgrimage to Wisconsin to visit the brewery.
