Oh. Is it free?

I believe at present it is - I just loathe the concept of getting onto yet another e-mailing list, but Allen went ahead and dropped into it to nab Tamoachoan 3.5 IIRC when they release it.

Liberty's Edge

Well, might as well then.

Paizo!

Raaaawwwwwwwwks!

I can't believe I said that.

hmmmm this brings up a good point. We make to much sense hear (in a relative way). We need more teenage angst and emtional upheaval in our postings.

*ah-hem*
You don't know me man! Your just a poser, a real RPGer would have agreed with me! You suck.

I also never really posted on any forums before Paizo (mainly because I don't like using words on deaf ears). Actually it's because I read through your guys' posts and liked & respected the people writing them.

Blaaaarrrggggghhhh!!!!!

Oh, the folly of youth. Confusing "poser" for "poseur".

How do you like the community now?! HUH?!

This is the best forum on the internet. The end.

Just came back from the WotC boards.
Damn but I feel dirty.
I stuck my oar into a few debates, but the level of discourse is pretty abysmal- the latest line of reasoning is that Capitalism will see it all right, that Hasbro wouldn't create something no one would want, and that their duty isn't for their customers, but their shareholders. Anyone who didn't subscribe to this world view was getting pilloried as a miserable dinosaur or some kind of pinko moron who wants to see games designers starving on the roadside, huddled in cardboard boxes with their families.

God, but it's good to get back- Man Hugs all round.

Glad you made it out alive Firbolg.

Glad to be here sir, glad to be here.

I'm not one for messageboards per say, but I'm hooked on Paizo- the posters are intelligent, capable of rational debate without resorting to name calling or flame tactics at the first opprotunity. Even Politics and Religion get a look in without much bruises.

It's a wee digital Rivendell, but outside, it's getting dark...

Hilarity. I just created a login a couple of days ago for the exact same purpose. I wonder how many others are waiting to pounce on whatever 3.5 compatible stuff they put out prior to the launch of 4.0 with a plan of riding off into the sunset with it when the big switch occurs?
Hey. If either of you also has the 1e. mod, take a look and tell me how similar/easy to just convert it would be.

Pretty easy to do an "as is" conversion of the module itself - simply insert the critters as-is, presuming you have all the pertinent critter statblocks available. I know I've got my 1e copy of it floating around in the boxes somewhere...

Granted, the only one (from memory) that would require statting up would be Drelzna at the end.

I have to say I agree with everyone. I was not using the boards at all until the demise of the magazines and then I was on both the Paizo Boards and WotC boards almost everyday trying to figure out what was next.

I did not get upset about the magazines - I do not mind the digital content and actually find I enjoy being able to just print something I want to use and not have to mess with the whole magazine at my gaming table. I have bought everything I can in PDF now for the same reason.

I thought the boards over there would calm down eventually and after I got worn out the initial time (after a couple of weeks) I have checked back from time to time and it never really got better.

I did notice that a few months ago anyway it was really just a couple of people who over and over again complained about how DI was discriminating against those without a computer, printer, etc... It was nuts and obviously those complaining had a computer and probably the other things (who has a computer without a printer?).

Anyway (sorry for the rante - I just I had some uncommunicated angst) I finally stopped checking in over there at all. Just too much whining for me to handle.

This has become home for me and I am here to stay. I love you guys...

I love to come to this pure white calming space; much better than the Gleemax site "Filmed in Glorious Epilepto-Vision!!!!"

I've tried reading for understanding over there, and I just don't get how everybody is accepting as absolute, undeniable truth every word that comes from an official WOTC source, when, on those same boards, for the past two years, there would be about fifteen threads started every week in which somebody asked "So, when is 4.0 coming out?" and everybody would trot out the company line that, no, sorry, they're not working on 4.0. At every gaming convention, in every press release, in every blog entry, every single time any WOTC staffer had the option to say "Sure, we're working on it, but it's not gonna be out for a few years," instead, they lied through their teeth and said "no way, no how. 3.5 4evah! Go buy books!" and everybody bought it. And they still accept as absolute gospel every piece of information that slips out. Buh?

The air's clearer over here.
