mwbeeler here. Background due this evening -> Gist to be: coddled by uncle, taught finer skills, languages, etc..., showed how to use innate talents to the fullest. Uncle killed in spell duel, workshop burned to the ground, forced to seek own way, yada yada yakity, searching for long lost relative to grift off of in Falcon's Hollow, who likely turns out to have died.

The-Last-Rogue |

This is Dreamweaver, I will finish the background and description through out the day for my Varisian cleric.
Have not had a chance to add everything up, but it seems like you are missing a feat. You have 1 for 1st level, 1 for human, but not one from my list. Also, I did not check but for your skills did you remember to use 4+int, instead of 2.
-----
So 2 definite characters:
Louinor - Female Human Cleric of Desna
Chalen - Male Human Sorcerer
----
Awaiting information from:
French Wolf, Talion09, Chaosmas
I will also repost the character creation set for you guys in this thread.

The-Last-Rogue |

For now create a character following these guidelines --
--28 pt buy
--11 base classes
--Feats, spells, and prestige classes from
--PHB, Complete Arcane, Adventurer, Divine, and Warrior (I currently am without the last 2, so if something comes up you may need to 'show' me)
--Max HP at first level
--Roll your class's standard starting gold
--Choose a bonus feat from the following list:
Acrobatic, Agile, Alertness, Athletic, Deceitful, Deft Hands, Diligent, Endurance, Great Fortitude, Investigator, Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, Magical Aptitude, Negotiator, Nimble Fingers, Persuasive, Self-sufficient, Stealthy, Toughness.
I have a bunch of house rules, but I do not want to complicate things so I am only implementing 3.
1) If your class only allows 2 skills pts + int per level, change the 2 to a 4.
2)Fighters have both Listen and Spot as a class skill
3)Sorcerer's automatically have a bonus feat (Eschew Materials)
I could get really exhaustive with the house rules, I use complete scoundrel, Mage, extra this extra that . . but it would be a bit time consuming I think for a PBP.
Any ways hopefully this helps a bit.

Bobek |

Louinor wrote:I think I am all set.Good, but wealth? And Bobek is that your remaining gold? Max gold for a scout is 200gp -- your composite bow alone is 75 gp. Just want to make sure you rolled for it and all . . .looking forward to playing guys.
Still need characters from Talion09 and FWolf
Well, I rolled 150gp, but I will double check my math after my gear purchases. If you think I have too much left over that's fine. I was going to work it into my backstory, but I can also just dump it.

No that is fine. . . .I was just wondering. . .I didn't add it all up. Definitely keep it and use it in your story.

Talion09 |

Sorry for lag in posts. I'm currently at my in-laws for a mini-vacation (so they can visit with their new granddaughter really, lol) so I won't have access to my books until tommorrow (Wednesday).
I've got the character worked up pretty well in my head so far though, I'm looking at a human ranger inspired by Valeros in the artwork. (2-weapon fighting, although I'll be decent with a bow as well)
I'll post the character tommorrow night

Bobek |

I have one of those friends who has every Wizards book memorized, and can even quote page numbers (you know the type)... well, he just told me that 'Disable Device' is actually a class skill for the Scout (it's in the Complete Adventurer errata, of all things). So I adjusted accordingly.

Oddly enough, I was just coming here, because I read the same thing . . . .but you got it.

The-Last-Rogue |

Wow 5 humans . . .I guess they really are the dominant race of fantasy.
Anywho here is what I have so far.
A Cleric of Desna
A Sorcerer
A Scout
A Ranger
A Barbarian
If you ask me that is a well-rounded group! Ok, once all the characters our posted with backstory, stats, equipment, and 2 character traits (the reason these our important is for Roleplaying -- I give unique rewards for roleplaying well, not over the top, but well -- sometimes it is xp, but usually it is a skill bonus, or a free automatic 20 to use when you want, etc.), I will begin the adventure.
As for gameplay, I do not care how you roll the dice, JUST be honest . . .it is much more fun if you are; this goes for spoilers too -- If I put a spoiler up for Bobek, only he should read it. (I doubt I have to tell you guys this, but better to be clear).
For attacks lets use the following format: Attack = 21 (Rolled 16+5); Damage = 8 (Rolled 7+1) Obviously the +X is your BAB, Str, whatever bonuses are relevant. Give me damage no matter your roll, just in case you hit. I will do likewise for monsters/foes. Use the same format for skill checks.
As for combat rounds after initiative is settled, let's try to wait to post until the other person has gone, unless it is an action like shouting a warning or some such thing. If a person is taking too long, then I will notify the next initiative to post -- this eliminates a guy with 20 initiative already knowing what the guy with the 4 initiative is doing.
HOUSERULE ALERT - Initiative = Dex +Int
I know all the above is a little unorganized, but is it cool with everyone?

Malleon Harper |

Well, I finally got the new character written up.
Malleon Harper, a CG Human Fighter 1. I'm good with a bow, and also like to fight with a longsword/shortsword combo.
I'll fill in the rest of the background and personality tommorrow (its been a long day), but in short:

The-Last-Rogue |

Ok it looks like so far noone is native to Falcon's Hallow, just a bunch of misfits on their way there -- Chalen are you cool with roleplaying coming to Falcon's Hallow, so you really don't know what happened to your cousin yet? That way I can start the group off together.
Just waiting on French Wolf now. Once I get his, I will reread each character sheet, and we will start.

Certainly. Place me wherever it is easiest and I'll adjust his background accordingly.

Talion09 |

The way to handle your question Talion09 us to click on the profile of Malleon and enter his stats there. Just click on Malleon's name and edit his profile. Check out the other characters as reference.
Ah.
I knew there was some way to do it, I just blanked out last night, lol

Talion09 |

I kicked off the Golarion Chronicles with the first PC post.

Bobek |

I have a question about the use of spoiler tags.
It looks like we are "spoilering" the text in the main thread if it's a conversation the other characters can't hear. Does that mean I should respond in spoiler form too? I understand if it's a secret that affects other characters, but otherwise it feels a little bit like leaving the other players out of the fun! I wasn't sure if there was a rule of thumb for this sort of thing, or if its just a judgement call...

Talion09 |

Crap. I made the first Player post in the thread, and then it took off while I was sleeping and at work.
I'll get to work on some more posts now, but out of general interest, when do you think you'll be making most of your posts?
Depending on how things are at work, I might be able to post during the day. But most of my posting will probably be between 7pm and midnight, Pacific time.

No I am not even sure why I have been doing it, I guess just to make it more for that person. I may even continue to do it, and if it something I want secret, I will preface it. Feel free to respond without spoilers.

Don't sweat it too much, as long as you hop on when you can it is not a big deal. I live east coast for example so much of your time to post is quite late for me. That being said, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
