The Eldritch Mr. Shiny

Looks like we have a replacement (or two) lined up, or at least interested (in the gamer connection area). Not sure yet if they will be Anders or someone new. This group is starting to look like a rock band. :)
Yeah. Mothman's Greg, I'm Henry, you're Chuck, Chris is Anthony, Sean is Dez, and Blackotter is Kira. Totally.

Well, if we're going by that, I have to disagree with the whole "nothin' wrong with me" bit...
Sally =P
Well, something's got to give....

Why not just start every NPC interaction with a kick to their groin?
It has been a while due to time delays on my part, so I thought I'd take advantage of this nice slow Sunday and update everyone on the current xp totals:
Ardan: 1680
Eldin: 2575
Marius: 1050
Seann: 2575
Terin: 2615
Tyndal: 2550

Adios
He has me worried for him.

Figured I would wait until the memory of your Florida trip was behind you and you were in a better mood before I asked, Fakey. How are things going with your son?
Sorry haven't checked the discussion thread for a bit.....been sick for almost a month....
The boy is OK. Some days are sunshine and flowers and hope and others are fits, and fighting and depressing. I am confident in the knowledge that I am doing as much as possible to help him and get him what he needs to be the best autistic boy he can be, but it is hard not being able to just 'fix' him. He repeats lines from cartoons word for word and uses them in context (mostly), but I can't get him to tell me what is wrong when he is upset or hurt. Some days it's good and others just suck.Sorry to sound so depressing but the last couple days have been sucky for him. He gets back into his program on Tuesday so I hope that the routine of that schedule helps him to get back on an even keel.
Oh well.
He is mostly happy and healthy and for that I am blessed. I see so many people around going through far worse, and I feel a bit guilty about my problems having such an effect on me. 'Man up, Fakey, your kid could be like this!' is always running through my head, especially when I see how bad some of the kids in his program have it.
On a good note my wife and I finally got our contributions inline and adjusted to go towards the Delaware Autism Program and some other similar organizations, and I had a good, fun father's day so all is good.
I know you have been going through it in different ways but you'll understand when I say "Life is relentless", you get some breaks here and there but it never stops coming at you. I would just love to have a month off from it all.

"Life is relentless"
I like that; I mentioned it to Marcy on the way to the hospital this morning to pick up her scans for the neurologist tomorrow. I usually live by "life is all about regrets" (which my wife hates when I say).
In-laws really did a number on you, cripes. No need to tell yourself to nut-up, all bets are off when it comes to your kid. I run with the "it's ok to cry if you are caught in a bear trap" mentality, but man, shew, sons, I mean, c'mon, who wouldn't turn into a wet rag? Sounds like an uphill battle, just yell if you ever need a push from behind.

Was offline last night while they reset the whole of our network traffic to flow through the corporate Gestapo division. Will have to get creative tonight in order to get unrestricted access, but will give it a go.
Today is going to be interesting too trying to find time, as I have to go in early (yet again) for month end, but not giving up hope just yet.

Minor problem, here’s the deal (posting to each discussion thread):
Since the network switchover at work, I’m cut off, and my time to update at home is sporadic and limited. It’s not so much no access as remote division attempting to justify its existence by routing our connection through their gear and then monitoring the bejesus out of it. I’ve tried a few things on a tentative basis, and I know port 443 is open (tested it with the camera from home), but either 3389 is out or the RDC protocol is ruled out (still testing, but I can’t hit my box at home so far; slow going as I have to test one thing a day, and if it doesn’t work, I have to wait 24 hours to try again). I used to be able to at least use Google messenger if I went around the policy by renaming the program identifier as notepad, but secure outside connections are now cut off as well (though the java client works, trying to limit my usage). I have an awesome idea that would fix this issue and a good many more, but I am still trying to justify the cost internally (extra $60 a month, maybe less if they’ll work with me).
In the mean time, here’s what I plan to do: Every evening before work, I’m going to snap up the RSS feeds and offload it to a pen drive. I’ll do the game update at work, then post it as soon as I get home. This will leave me a day behind, but at least you will get an update on a regular basis. I’ve already loaded everyone’s character profile and the game for today, so I’ll type up the next sequence this evening. Sorry for the pain in the butt!

[Big home renovation project? What are you working on?
Always something. Was busy today too: fixed the gate, caught a mole (moleyosis) and released him in the park, housework, bunch of other stuff it was way too hot to do. :) This weekend I was un-crapifying one of the main living room walls though. What a nightmare, the things they did before we moved in, hah! Doesn't look too shabby now, and I got a little artsy and sealed a porcelain rabbit inside two sealed together fish tanks and put there where the giant ugly wall AC unit was sucking up space.

Hola.
Thanks to two weekends of headaches (including four in the last five days), I’m officially in hell. I can only assume it is the hormones, but I am popping anti-migraine pills like jellybeans last few days. I hope to have things sorted out following my Sept. 4th appointment (or shortly thereafter). At the moment, I have all the creativity and brain power of soggy cardboard. I hate to do this to you guys, but would it be possible to take a three-week hiatus and resume Monday, September 8th? I hate to put a hold on things mid-stream, but I’m not doing anyone any favors by limping along, either.

Absolutely. Take all the time you need.
