This is a tough time of year to be in the hospital. This is a tough time of year to be dieing.

Hopes and prayers for your grandfather, you, and your family.

Getting a throat infection/Pharyngitis, then a couple of days later I have pneumonia on top of it.
Great, why not make it a trifecta? How about small pox? Or the bubonic plague?
Actually, I have flu symptoms too, but don't know if it's just a side effect from the above ailments...
Just in time for the holidays! Wohoo! :-/

when i woke up this morning, the water in my home seemed to have been turned off.
after some investigation, i found that the pipes had frozen.
after about four hours of work, phone calls, and panic, the water came back on.
i seem to have avoided the disaster of burst pipes, but wow, what a way to spend a saturday morning.

I want to work somewhere that has a lunchtime GAMMA WORLD game. :(
Yeah, or any RPG. I haven't had a lunchtime RPG going since high school, over 20 years ago.
(Although, back in the late 1990s, I DID get to play M:tG with people from a couple of companies in our building during lunch every day.)

Indeed.
Some days are harder than others.
Thanks guys.
EDIT: It's no walk in the park to bury your wife in your thirties, but it sucks beyond words to bury ones daughter, sister, or Mom. I'm proud of how our daughter turned out.

It's been a rough few years. I've lost my wife, my mom, friends to suicide, a drunk driver, heart failure, and more.
I have friends dealing with schizophrenia, cancer, Crohn's disease, Alzheimer's, brain damage, dementia, brain tumors, attempted murder, coming home from Afghanistan with serious gunshot wounds, getting run over by a truck, divorce, unemployment, custody battles, drug addiction, dying parents, post traumatic stress, deployment overseas, and god knows what else.
I wouldn't trade my friends and family for the world, but I am utterly exhausted. I've led an interesting life, but I am reminded of the old Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times.".
No one ever said it would be easy.
I'm just so damned tired.

Not to be trite but it sounds like the depth of your pain is measured by the depth of your love. I wish you strength to match your love.

Words can't really tell of such a loss.
I just hope that, for you and your daughter that year by year the better days become the overwhelming majority and that the memory of her love outshines the sorrow of her loss.Georg.

Thats right. This is the evil twin of the 'Good Things' thread. This a place to post all those things that don't make for full-sized rants but still bug you. Because, in life there's always something that sucks right?
For instance,
For some unknown reason my computer has stopped letting me use Winamp and every time I try to play music with it it gives me an error message.
I've ordered several books that I wanted for an upcoming campaign but they've still not arrived and the campaign nears (I suppose this is what I get for not springing for the expedieted shipping).
At work today I spilled mustard all over my hands (again) so for the afternoon I smelled like mustard.
People who say they are your friend and then they totaly disrespect and treat you like crap

Today, I'm just sick of s!!+. It's the third day in a row that I've busted my knuckles open punching walls. I scared the s&@+ out of some girl who came to see what the noise was and ask if I was alright. Therapy is not helping, though I just joined an online anxiety support group, but there is no F$$&ING WAY I am going back on the drugs again. I'm really stuck.

there are better ways of getting your stress out -- exercise, go for a walk, talk to someone (even if it doesn't seem like it's helping it probably is). breaking things can only cost you money in repairs and doctor bills.
and come to the paizo boards more often! we're happy to talk about what's bothering you. :-)
